Brutal - First 15 Pages
Because I need the detail for something I'm writing.
A death threat? LOL just kidding....... just call them yourself man.

Not a death treat. A story. I posted it up here before. My main characters needs a hotel room and I figured I put them in a hotel inn.

Usually 1 plus two other numbers for first floor, 2 plus two other numbers for second floor, 3 plus two other numbers for third floor, etc. Odds on one side, evens on the other.

Of course, level 13 is missing. That's the truth. I checked it out on the stairs once: went from 12-14. Pissed me off. Nothing wrong with number 13.

But there is something wrong with the number 23

What's so wrong with 23? That's the date of my birthday, and some girl yesterday asked me my birthday (hehe) and she said it's the worst day ever. Am I missing something?
Shit. :wall:

So, OP, how's the story coming along?
It's coming along pretty well.

I'm 15 pages in. 75 to go. I've decided that it may not be wise to post the entire thing on a message board because of the lack of copyright protection and what not, but once I've polished it up, copyrighted it with the library of Congress and registered it with the Writer's Guild of America, I will post a few more chunks here for feedback.

By the way, the thing you pull on a chainsaw is called a pull string, right?
It is called a starter rope, or starter cord.
Awesome! Thank you! I appreciate your help!

How are you going to write a story when you don't even know what some shit is called. You keep refreshing this thread with new dumb questions.

I have a crazy idea
"chainsaw parts"
"Chainsaw replacement parts"

listen niceguyshawn. I'm a nice guy to, but there's internet search engines for a reason.
What the fuck is the internet?
It is called a starter rope, or starter cord.
OP - you want to get technical in a fictional story?

"Out of ammo, the doomed space marine had no other option but to use his trusty chainsaw to kill the hordes of invading demons.

He revved the chainsaw pulled the starter cord and the small two-stroke internal combustion engine with skip tooth cutting action sprang to life, effectively shredding the surrounding demons into a gory puddle of Hell stew."

Actually the chainsaw in my story has no starter cord, which is something I want to specifically point out. Thanks for the help everyone! I'll update the thread and title again if I have anymore dumb questions.

*Note - People who get annoyed by questions in general should just stay away. Here's looking at you Graystone! :)

Rofl. Seriously. You know absolutely nothing about how to get something copyrighted.

I suggest you do some more research.

Oh, and are you writing a screenplay? If not, the Writer's Guild of America isn't going to do jack shit for you.

Then what should I do?

You will find plenty of information there. BTW, the government has a copyright office. I suggest you check them out.

Oh, and if you plan on copyrighting this thing, then handing it off to a publisher, prepare to be laughed at.

Why would I be laughed at?

This whole thing just reeks of "15 year old who thinks they came up with an awesome idea to make big bucks and nail supermodels"

Really the whole idea of BRUTAL is just laughable and the OP seems to have done zero research into what he plans to make a living in.

Neither applies to me. I'm just going for a no name Direct to DVD company that will give a paycheck. It's quite funny how well being a hack can pay off.

I do find it interesting though that you're more apt to just knock on someone instead of offering constructive critisism. Says a bit about you.

*Thumbs Up!* :)

Which won't happen because A) it's all about connections, which you don't have, B) it's all about an original spin, which you lack and C) there are a million people out there looking to do the same thing you are that have way more experience.

Time will tell my friend. Thanks for the advice. :)

As much as I agree with you, and as much as OP is pissing me off with not googling shit. I do have to say one thing.

That, sadly, would be connections, original spin (or niche) and "experience"

Don't forget "tax breaks". It's fucking amazing how much of a tax break financing films like that is in other countries.

Considering I'm just a writer, I don't see what Uwe Boll has to do with me, but it was interesting to try and see the comparison made.

There is a type of love story that is going to come up in my overall story.

Honestly, I'm pretty happy and proud of the work I'm doing. If nothing comes out of it, so be it. I'll move on to another project and keep working. But as of now, I'm happy with what I'm doing. :)
Chainsaw in a horrow/thriller film? Think of something more original as your instrument of death. Give him stretchy arms!
He can't shock the audience too much, he's already has the character drag a person through the woods by their intestines.
