This is happening on games a lot recently.  I just noticed it on tokyo mirage sessions from some of the same sellers.  Amazon really needs to clamp down on this.  It can't be too hard for them to detect a new seller listing tons of items at the same price way below going price.

Yes this is the worst I've ever seen it.  Noticed it when the LoZ amiibo were listed for $6.99 and above new.

I don't know why these scammers have been appearing more and more frequently as I can't see them being paid at all until items ship (and they don't) but I can tell you dealing with Amazon to get a refund is a huge pain in the ass. This company has really gone down the shitter over the years and is just another prime example of why I've all but stopped shopping on there.

These types of scammers have always existed on Amazon but its gotten unbelievably bad lately. Where you might find one of these scammers rarely, now they are now popping up all over Amazon.

Its a shame too, as I've gotten really great discounted items by taking chances on sellers that are new, and hobbyists selling import items from overseas, and I want to support legitimate sellers like this. However, I've also gotten a few scummy scam sellers as well--sellers proving fake tracking numbers and the product never arriving, wrong items sent or items that were just plain misrepresented. Amazon has been great about refunding my money, but it takes time to open up a a case and get my money back, which really sucks if you are shopping for gifts or time sensitive items.

The kicker for all of this? Almost all the items that I had problems were popular Nintendo items. Its gotten to the point where I don't want to buy ANYTHING Nintendo related off of Amazon anymore, because Amazon oversells, runs out of stock, and then cancels my order, and sellers that aren't Fulfillment by Amazon might be scams. And heck, even "Fulfillment by Amazon" doesn't mean much anymore--counterfeit items still find their way into Amazon Fulfillment stock.

Wow. They have a responsibility to the consumer to clean this up but it sounds like it has gotten out of control. Hopefully more people wise up and stop shopping at Amazon, but that's an unrealistic ideal.

Well, guess I'll just have to look out. I've been buying most of my new games off Amazon, so any new seller's getting the hairy eyeball with me; and if they have no feedback I'm proly not going to take a chance on 'em.

I heard that people were doing this with Switches, tho I'm delaying buying a Switch for a year as it is.

As for buying things on there; I only ever had ONE problem with a seller and it was they sent a blue ray/DVD to the wrong address; the seller resent, so I got it.

I bought something reasonabley priced from a seller who even had feedback. Claimed he was from California, attached a Chinese tracking number that never updated.   Took Amazon a week since "it is still with in delivery window"    Then I looked and his feedback was last from 2012. (Now it has a ton of Negatives)  Looks like they are hijacking sellers who havent sold in awhile too.

Basically have to make sure feedback is recent and price isn't too unreasonable.
