It's not B:TAS or JLU good, but it is very, very good. Did a decent job balancing characters (though YMMV on the Justice League itself) and had an excellent storyline.

But what seals it is the animation. First Western series I have seen that have computer graphics (as in, the animation used on computers themselves) rival that of anime series.
 
I think YJ is every bit as good as Batman or JLU, there's just so much more to it in terms of multiple story lines and the complexity of the action sequences. Like the 1st fight in the season 2 premiere went on for 2-3 minutes, never got old - you don't really see that in anything but this and Tron.
I pick these up when rakuten.com has their $20 off $50 deal.

I'm definitely interested in trying Young Justice, but...I really don't like the packaging for the 3-pack. It looks less like a "season" and more like a "best of" collection. :cry:

 
That's because the first half of Season 1 was released in 3 singles. When they decided to go half-season sets, they just re-released them under the 3-Pack of Fun banner, which usually are mix and match sets.

Do what I did: get an empty 5-disc case.

Hmm...that sounds like a good idea, though I've never bought such a case before. Where could I find one?

 
Casetopia (casetopia.org) and easyshopca on eBay are what I use. The non-Scanavo cases are slightly flimsy (though I usually have little problems even after stuffing 5 DVD covers in one case) but are much, much cheaper. I have reduced my DVD shelf space collection in half using these discs. Works especially well with long-runners like Pokemon.

It's a shame, because I'd be interested in owning the series if it was on BD and packaged legitimately.
 
Considering WB was still doing 4-episode singles only a few years ago, this is progress for them. Even then, WB has not done a single release of more than 13 episodes since JLU. Every show since then has been 13-episode/2-discs at best.

And when are people going to understand that kids shows are only just starting to be released on Blu-ray? Hell, even with the recent releases on kids TV on Blu-ray, the only ones you will find on store shelves are Adventure Time Seasons 1 and 2. Some specialty shops like FYE also carry Transformers Prime. Everything else is online-only. And if retailers have a choice between DVD and Blu-ray, they will choose DVD. Hence why you can find JL and GI Joe Renegades on DVD everywhere, but will only ever see the Blu-ray sets if somebody trades it in.

WB might, MIGHT put Beware the Batman on Blu-ray, but older shows will not be going to Blu-ray for years. Maybe not even until they stop making DVDs altogether. They have no real reason to re-release kids series (BTW, these series releases are aimed at parents of 6-year-olds, not fanboys) when there's no incentive.

If you want to own Young Justice, buy these season sets before they go out of print or resign to not own it for another decade.

Thanks for the heads up OP, I totally forgot about the rest of season 2 on DVD, preordered it so I have it all now.

Overall season 2 had a tighter story, but the jump in time and changes in tempo and characterization made it less enjoyable for me, season 1 was far superior in my opinion.

Sorry, but that doesn't make a lick of sense from where I'm sitting . It is complete (just not in one case, which is what your implying) and to complain about not being on BD, seriously I watch Justice League on BD and didn't notice anything extra-ordinary about it compared to the DVD, but then again I'm not a format snob, so there's that. And if you expected WB to do what you suggested, you should know better by now. If that was the case then Sony would have released Jackie Chan Adventures on season set dvd's for fans like me, ain't never gonna happen.
