Often overlooked, GoD are by default displayed in dollars both on Xbox.com as well as on the console, but on the very-first confirmation screen of the download process is the option to use Microsoft Points in place of real-world currency.

Through the console, after first selecting to download a GoD you are greeted by a familiar gray confirmation screen that pops up displaying the size of the download as well as confirming the price. At the bottom of this gray pop-up is the instruction to press the "X button" in order to change the payment type to MSP. Pictured below with an arrow:

On Xbox.com they've made it much more obvious, the confirmation "extra step" pop-up after clicking the download link displays a link that simply says "Use Microsoft Points" directly under the price in dollars at the top of the page.

For the Fall Beta you click the ad, download a pic then run an app to complete the registration. It's a really quick process and says it takes 1-2 business days for it to complete. No download file available yet.

You know you're a cheap ass when you debate waiting for a sale on TWD 400 Days DLC. I bought the season on sale so feel like I should wait for this. I really wish there would be a TellTale Games sale that would include Jurassic Park GonD and the Wallace and Gromit games.

Coulda gotten 3 or 4 games instead of Bioshock 1.  Never played it and I REALLY wanted to get Bioshock Infin but the price was not worth it.

 
Would love to know if anyone else with L4D2 (recently bought) is having the reset to valve screen issues. It's going to happen (according to everyone else on the internet) I just want to know how frequently it is. Thanks.

 
Well, so that's it. I was debating on purchasing Hitman, but I bought TWD 400 Days instead. I won't be able to play my x360 for some time, since I'm going outside my country next monday, so at least I know I can finish this TWD DLC in time.

i love the JP franchise, but once you beat JP the game on 360 once you'll never touch it again, so trust me, just get the disc version so you can sell it. its an ok game but it's really not worth keeping around, waste of my hd space

 
I'm glad there wasn't anything left on the list that I was interested cause today's sale look like a bust.

Not a bad haul for $40. I'm still trying to decide on whether to get Bulletstorm though. Yeah it's 5 bucks but you can get a physical copy used for 10.

If you have a Kmart nearby that still has Bulletstorm copies left, they'll more than likely ring up as $4.97 or less.

Speaking of the Fall Beta, i'm reading the program agreement and it says

"The Microsoft Points associated with any Xbox LIve account that signs in on the enrolled console will be retired and the account will be given an amount of promotional local currency"

Remember, once they convert your MSP to promo currency, you only have a year from that day to use it before it expires. If you're sitting on alot of points in your account, you might not want to enroll in the beta.

Ended up with just Forza Horizon and ME3 Omega DLC this week. Everything else I either already had or wasn't interested in. I'm really bummed that MGR's sale was so crappy, I was hoping for it to drop under $20.

 
Only ended up with Prey and The Orange Box in this sale.  Good sale definitely but I already owned all the best titles.  Even the two I did buy I owned a couple years back and just bought again for achievements.

 
It'll be interesting to see how my 90 points gets transferred into cash since it's technically $1.12.5. I'm betting that they'll take away my half a cent rather than give me half a cent.

It basically says you won't lose any money in the transition. Your half cent is safe.

ME is a classic. And if you don't have it, BL2 was a massive deal. Probably going to win quite a few year end awards.

Someone pointed out that BL2 came out last year. I mistakenly thought it was a Jan/Feb release but it clearly was last year in September.

Crysis is another classic but not a must buy.

I'm sure nobody would miss just me, but these are the types of things that allow me to take some bit of control over principle. What you have so clearly pointed out is exactly why I stop visiting places (be it stores or websites). This may just be another one of those instances, which is unfortunate. I would miss out on some seriously awesome advice and deals (that can be had elsewhere to a good degree). Nonetheless, it might actually get me working on this backlog that I've created w/ reckless abandon since re-purchasing a 360 after years of being away.

This is a great site to visit for a plethora of reasons. I would hate for the harbingers of internet justice to allow me to smite thee with thine own. Seriously, whatever flame MS put up any posteriors here (purely supposition), don't let that be the reason for hypocrisy in this community. It would be a shame to let this continue as it will eventually spawn this kind of league elsewhere. I'm sure they'll enjoy the traffic. Thanks in advance for not using legalese to justify this mess. All or none w/ this circumventing stuff....just remember if it's "none", I'm sure you'll notice a dip in traffic.

I don't think you'll be disappointed in Bioshock 1. Its worth the $20, but you'll probably get a little annoyed when you see it for $10 somewhere. It is by far one of the top 25 games this console and probably top 10 for most.

Infinite, while a better gameplay experience, does take a farfetched story route where it gets far enough out there that basically anything can be written in. Don't get me wrong this can be done well (Alan Wake), but they left a few plot holes that hopefully get tied up in DLC. Over all I liked 1 better because of the story, but infinite mechanically is much better. I used most of the vigors/guns in infinite while in 1 I think I used a wrench the most.

I haven't played in a month, but last i played, have the online not be dedicated, but have it as local server. You had posted you used that before, but I've never had the reset to valve screen
 
Crysis has support for 3D tvs, yes? Anyone who has played it in 3D can you comment on the quality? Thanks.

Edit: Hmm, another article I found said the 3d was only on PS3. Can anyone confirm?

X-com or arkham city, I already own arkham city but im 98% sure i won't get it back from the guy i loaned it too. And i get to play through the bureau for free when it comes out so i might as well skip xcom. Im torn.
 
X-Com Enemy Unknown is an amazing game. I never played the original or really any turned based strategy games but I love it..highly addicting.

I just got Hitman Absolution. I also got Witcher 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 the other day. I'm happy overall..just wish Metal Gear Rising would have been a bit cheaper so I could've got it..been waiting for it to hit at least $20 before I buy it.

I got Boarderlands 2. As for Mass Effect.. if I never have to play the first one again, I'd be just fine. I appreciate every aspect of the game but one. Scavenging for minerals and parts.

That stupid space rover needs to blow up in a fiery mess of napalm. =(

The suggestions are much appreciated though! :D

I have a relatively small haul compared to most (Borderlands 2, Witcher 2, and Orange Box) but I'm still debating the best way to spend my final 1600 points.

A) Forza Horizon + Divinity 2

B) Left 4 Dead 2 + Divinity 2 + Mass Effect

C) Forza Horizon + Crysis

D) Left 4 Dead 2+ Divinity 2 + Crysis

I'm hesitant because ME trilogy is a better option since I've yet to play any, just have to wait for a decent price on it. Divinity looks nice, but I have a few RPGs in the backlog but then again Divinity is such a good price for the amount of game. Not sure if I want to add that one or not. I definitely want to get into Crysis as well, but the only way I can get both is with Left 4 Dead (which is a want, but a low want) and I don't have a racing game plus I heard good things about Forza. (from you guys) Something's got to give...Maybe if I sit on it longer.

I completely forgot about Bulletstorm. If you like potty humor/over the top humor its a blast.

Also I hated the stupid probes. The only thing that saved wanting to destroy the probe for me was when you're probing Uranus. I laughed so hard as I didn't even know what planet I was probing when EDI said something different.

Picked up Left 4 Dead 2 (once it finally showed $9.99 and not $29.99), The Witcher 2, and The Orange Box.  All three games for $25 is a hell of a deal IMO.  Also picked up Prey the other day for a couple bucks.  Might get Perfect Dark Zero just for the hell of it.

 
Anyone having problems playing Forza Horizon. After the loading screen and/or starting an online race it gives me a disk is unreadable error.
