So what bundles would unlock the most amount of "card" games that I can sit here and idle? :p

Also, is or IS NOT Marvel worth it at 50% off? Seems like an awful lot of cash for 4 characters plus a couple of costumes. That last negative review had me teetering towards "money best spent elsewhere".
Play it free and determine what you want to spend on it...

Well for what it's worth, I'm a guy (last I checked anyway) and really want to play it. Though I guess maybe I am just drawn to anime/harry potter/high school sims ^_~
Ah, yeah, if you like Harry Potter (GRYFFINDOR FOREVA!), then yeah, you'll like Magical Diary. I played through the game twice to see two different storylines. And I never play through anything more than once.

Check again. You're very effeminate.

I -- an overly swagger-conscious 10-year vegetarian/vegan, PETA-backing women's-rights stalwart and all-around sympathetic MF -- am saying this to you.
Squirrel is my friend. You tease him, I beat you up. With the carcasses of PONIES. :boxing:

I only have Tropico 3 out of that bundle, but only Restaurant Empire 2 and Earth 2160 really grab my attention. Still might be worth a few bucks

GameFly + 20% off GFDJUL20
Pretty good deals with that discount. Grabbed Max Payne 3 + Season Pass for $9.59...maybe i'll get lucky and find one of the seventeen people still playing MP3MP, or peer pressure my friendslist into it.

edit: once it finishes downloading on October 5th. Forgot about the 30+ GB install.

Greenlight update

The Software titles:
Dexster Audio Editor
GraphicEditor openCanvas

The games:
A Hat in Time
Among the Sleep
BROFORCE
Centration
Chasm
Darkwood
Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut
Divekick
Operation Black Mesa
Project Awakened
Recruits
Rekoil
Shelter
StarMade

Today's deal is the 50% off Marvel Heroes starter packs.

Avengers Assemble Pack - $42.49
X-Force Pack - $42.49
Knights Pack - $39.99
Sigh. When will Silent Storm ever make it? It shouldn't even have to go through the process. They posted a while ago they made the top 50, yet streams of other junk spew forth from greenlight in front of it.

At least I can hope for Recettear at 80% off in the next few days.

I think it's time to upgrade your internet.

La-Mulana cards aren't exactly flying off the shelves. I guess the buyers are waiting for the cards to hit the magical 10 cent mark.

If you have a couple of games with cards to idle for, I'd advise doing something else before La-Mulana.

I typically wait for the market to settle down anyway. I can't be hassled with constantly refreshing and relisting to make a little more. I'll take my 10-15 cents per card and be happy. I also rarely have the games that draw decent values anyway.

Still no Zafehouse Diaries.

If you like Harry Potter you will love Bully.
I can vouch for this, as an avid Potter nut who holds Bully as their favorite Rockstar game by far ^_^

Seems silly that game even needed to Greenlight in the first place.

Wasn't Greenlight put in place just for unknown developers and what not? That was a fairly successful console game.

But whatevs, glad they made the cut, I suppose.
I guess you could say the Director's Cut cut directly through the rest ;)

I've tried the HP licensed games and even the Lego one sort of sucked.  And I usually love Lego series games.

I always wonder why they didn't license the game into some sort of tween MMO or at least MMO styled RPG.  Create a Wizard.  Start your time at school.  Etc.

Not sure if that was a dropped ball on the part of the author, license holder, or devs.

Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban were pretty decent IMO (console versions mind you, PC and GBA were completely different). Goblet of Fire was really the dropping off point in quality, and I never got around to playing the next four. I REALLY liked Lego HP 1-4 though, and 5-7 was still passable but an obvious drop in quality. I'm sure we will eventually see a HP MMO, but chances are it would be hell to play with how many preteens would surely jump on. I don't know, but I suppose nothing could be worse than the last few games (Harry Potter Kinect and Book of Spells :puke: )

Saying it was fairly successful is kinda distorted. It's a fairly successful game that comes as a cult hit game, not a comoletelycommercially successful game. I guess they tested the waters to see if people actually wanted this game on Steam. Good for them! I want the newest updated version!

Those devs/publisher would get so much money from me if they made a HP-based RPG.

I thought the EXACT thing Fox.

I thought a Harry Potter TYPE MMO (or just an RPG) would be great.  I didn't care for the LEGO one until I got it on my iPad.  Even then it was OK at best.

Feedback on Marvel Heroes (just a couple hours in).  It's ok.  The prices for hero's range.  Costumes are pretty high.  I haven't received any drops yet but I don't expect them so early on.  I don't see myself investing money in this.  It drops you and BAM you're kinda expected to know what to do.  I picked Hawkeye and even though I click on the Hydra guys (over and over) the arrows often hit walls or non-existent objects (I presume the ceiling).  Also, I have fairly decent setups on both my laptop and my desktop and the graphics really heat up my laptop for ok graphics.  It really isn't like Marvel Ultimate Alliances or X-Men Legends so far.  The environmental objects are kinda meh so far.

Lego HP was the only one I couldn't stand playing. The game made the assumption that the player was familiar with the stories already. I am not and had no clue what was going on.

A game shouldn't rely on the medium it's based on to tell the story, it should be able to stand on its own.

Yeah that's definitely true, I suppose I didn't realize as much since I've read/watched them so many times. It really does require you to have at least a basic understanding of the stories to be worth playing.

Did anyone else just get their own Steam wallet in their inventory? Looks like this:

I thought 1-4 was pretty good. The variety was nice and magic worked really well in the LEGO game formula. 5-7 has been much more tedious and I find myself not wanting to finish it.

Game Collector Badge XP updated

JULY 24TH, 2013 - AL
Hello everyone. We have a small update to the Game Collector Badge today: we've tweaked the XP values to be a little less confusing. Anyone with 100 games or more will have a little more XP now, and from now on every game added to your library will be worth at least 1 XP.
I'm not really sure what this means, but thought I'd share. Less confusing is always a win in my book, and I remember a few people having some weird bugs with how many games/xp they had when this first rolled out, so at least now it should make sense.

I just noticed there are also separate/duplicate entries in the market for cards now. Weird.

I just noticed it says tradeable underneath my Steam wallet. Does that mean I can trade gaben funbux now?

Aaaaaaand it's gone. No longer in my inventory.

Is it just me or is the market place a bit broke for listing new cards?  Had a dupe hacker and it didn't give me a price history when starting to list it.  Looked it up and there were dupe listings for that card and it looks like most cards.  The secondary listing seems to be rotten with undercutting if you're looking for particular cards as well.  The main hacker listing was starting at 17 cents the secondary one was starting at just 7 cents.  Appears to be the case for most cards right now.
