Sega's Castle of Illusion remake will launch on September 3 for PS3, then arrive on XBLA and PC the next day, September 4. The platformer will set players back 1200 MSP, or $14.99 in North America, and will cost £ 9.99 and €14.99 in Europe.

Sega also announced that those pre-ordering the game through PSN will receive the original Genesis version of Castle of Illusion for free, along with one theme and three avatars. What's more, the Genesis game will be available for download right after you pre-order the HD remake, so those finding the wait for the new version excruciating can feel a little more at ease.

According to VideoGamer it was confirmed to release in August following a messed up magazine ad, but nothing beyond that. However, Eurogamer DID confirm it supports cross play / cross buy and the Vita version will allow people to progress at their own rate.

a door has to be put between two blocks that are 3 spaces apart

also remember to click the right stick for an easier time placing blocks. game is unplayable without that tip imo

didn't notice the ps3 version had extra trophies over the 360 version, some of those should be fun to get

I've been having problems accessing the sony store from my laptop for a few days now. Just stuck at the loading screen, anyone else have this happen to them?

Go into the settings for your browser and delete any cookies, cache, etc that has to do with the Playstation Store. That should fix it. I have had it happen multiple times. The best thing to keep it from happening is to always sign out of the account when you are done checking it online. Usually the issue arrises from the computer trying to log back into the account it had up last.

I liked the demo and HATED the game. Maybe it was because I was trying to play it while downing rum and cokes...but it aggravated the hell out of me.

i think you should give it another shot... the game really opens up well past the beginning (which is very basic and boring). if not, to each his own i guess, but theres' a reason it's rated as high as it is

I had planned to spend a bit of time in the FFXIV beta this weekend but I just bought a copy of Saints Row 4 for the 360 off craigslist. There goes the rest of my weekend.
