Thanks for the input guys.  I just bought RDR again* so maybe I'll give the regular MP a shot before I decide if the DLC would be worth it for $5.

*It was $9.47 at GoHastings, plus if I buy the DLC it will be another $5.  So of course Sony puts the entire collection on sale for $13.99!  I could have saved $0.48!  I'm not sure if I was burned or  :joystick: by Sony, but it's definitely one of the two.  fuck ing Sony!

There's no specific PS+ promo going on right now, just the current storewide cashback promo that would get you $10 back for every $50 spent that works for PS+ subs purchased from the PS Store.

You got burned, plain and simple. Send Amazon an email about how Sony and Newegg burned you and they might give you a credit.

Yeah, that is what I thought. Thanks! I'm just going to buy a card at Best Buy. Too bad I don't want to wait until Black Friday, but then again, I don't want to go to a store on Black Friday.

 
So I waited until now to buy Bionic Commando Rearmed and Okami and I'm getting an error screen every time I check out...did I miss it? Or does the Playstation store often bug out? (I should note that I also just renewed my PS+)

So am I going to regret it if I redeem my 1-year PS+ card now? I'd been holding out the past few months hoping they'd run the bonus 3-month deal again but now a month away from the PS4, I can't see them doing it again until at least next year. What do you guys think?

I ask because I want to save a few bucks on Okami HD.

They should be available until whatever random time between 1PM and 8PM EST Sony decides to update the store.

If your sub is going to run out then use it, if not wait since there's no benefit to using it now.

 
Finally deciding what I want from this week's Capcom sale.  Was going to grab Okami for a replay and going for the platinum.  I'm only missing 4 trophies from my first playthrough, but I completely forgot about that fishing trophy which apparently really sucks.  I don't have the patience for that.  With my huge backlog, I really shouldn't be spending any money on "re-buy" games at the moment...

...except Bionic Commando Rearmed.  Lost my license to that game when my Xbox was banned so I'll definitely be grabbing that one. Passing on Remember Me ($10 max PSN rule) and still trying to decide on D&D Mystara.  Wish there was a demo.  Anyone comment on that D&D game?  Is it any more deeper and enjoyable than a game like Golden Axe?

EDIT: There is a demo.  Woohoo!  Not sure how I missed that earlier this week when I (thought I) looked.

I'm still trying to decide on that stuff as well since I don't think I'm going to be hitting $50 by the end of the sale without making questionable purchases from an interest standpoint. Then again if I'm at $40 anyway may as well just buy whatever.

Mystara is definitely getting bought though. The demo is oddly enough what I was expecting from Dragon's Crown in terms of gameplay.

Sounds like we're in the same boat. Not enough content I'll really want in the next 2 weeks (and I'm still not sold that the update on the 29th will even count towards the $50/$10 promo) so no way I'll hit $50 without some questionable purchases. I'm trying to cut back on those.

It's much deeper than Golden Axe, for sure. You can buy equipment between levels (though that part is waaaaay more limited than I was expecting), and you can level up your individual character classes to unlock new spells.

The drop-in online multiplayer is pretty sweet. There's voice-chat if you're into that, and around half of the people I've played with online had headsets. Last time I played was a week after its launch, so I'm not sure how active the online scene is now, but I'd guess the sale would help out even if the servers were getting empty now.

(All of the above is in regards to Shadow over Mystara. I haven't played much of Tower of Doom yet.)

 
Hmmm, maybe I'll use that credit on my gettinmoney account to buy Puppeteer. I was going to wait for a cheaper price but there's a good chance I'll forget I even have it.

Thanks. I ended up buying it, demo felt good enough. Seems like there's tons of side challenges that will be fun to do.

Also grabbed BC:R and (finally!) Draw Slasher. Had a major issue with the webstore not letting me buy BC:R right away, but searching it a different way made it available to me. Really weird.

 
anyone know if the Walking Dead complete first season Vita ($9.79) includes 400 days as well?  I didnt see 400 days vita on sales separately....

If you like beat-em-ups like Double Dragon or Golden Axe, you really need to pick up Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara before the sale ends today. It's not just a collection of the two games: it has a lot of extras like concept art and challenges - it was developed by Iron Galaxy, who did all the recent Capcom ports with frills - and the games themselves have vey high replayability since there are branching paths in every level true to its name.

Best Buy has 1 year of PS+ for $40 if you have a gamers club card (free). Or maybe that requires unlocked? I'm not sure. $40 for 1 year is better than spend $50 and get a $10 credit (i.e. $60+ worth of stuff for $50+ vs. exactly $50 worth of stuff for $40).

It doesn't require unlocked, anyone can get in on that deal by just setting up a free Gamers Club account.

 
is plants vs zombies pure touch screen on the vita  or can i use buttons..

then again is it worth 5 bucks .. doubt it  (if i already have it for 3ds)

Gamestop has a year for $30 as a BF special. If you can wait, that's a good deal.

Mixed input. Only update otherwise is that you can shake the system to collect drops (sunshine and seeds?) I would never, ever say that PvZ is worth spending money on. I played it free on iOS and felt like it was still a waste. No idea why people enjoy that game.

 
Alien Breed Trilogy for just $5.75 is a fantastic deal.  I'm surprised that there's not much interests on here.  Each game has a platinum as well.

I think I may re-buy the first one for $2.50 since I had it on Xbox 360 but lost it. Already have 2 and 3 on PSN. I've only played the first one, the game definitely wasn't bad, but it felt rather rote and dull at times.

I think I might pass on The Last Of Us. It's a little bat shit crazy to spend $36 on a game I already own physically. I'd like the digital version but I think I can hold out until $20 or less. Plus I already played through it. Haven't liked a game so much in awhile that would even warrant this lol.

I played RDR for the first like a little under a year ago and the multiplayer was still ok active. I played it off and on for a couple of weeks and only met dicks a one or two times.

Undead nightmare you definitely want to buy as it has a very significant singe player component, it's almost like a total game conversion as it basically turns the game into survival horror in a western setting.. It also has lots of skins for the multiplayer.

I skipped the 2 paid multiplayer DLC packs and picked up the assassin outfit for the dead eye bonus and the badassness of the costume.

I liked the Alien Breed trilogy games. They were campy and fun enough if not spectacular. I am a huge twin stick shooter fan though. Less than $6 for 3 games is a good deal for anyone interested.

I am also looking forward to The Last Guy for $2. I have had that on my "PSN want" list a while now.

Lol yeah my usual cutoff is $20 so a little higher than yours but I'm trying to get over that a bit too. I'm kind of done with game cases and worrying about "having" things down the line. Don't get me wrong I have a few "gems" but that consists of about 5 games right now that I own physically some of which don't have a digital counterpart. I chickened out though when I bought The Last Of Us. I said I was going to just buy it digitally but chickened out in the end. So for now I guess the $20 or less for digital sticks :)
