Indie Royale bundles employ a variable pricing model and last about a week. Most start at $3.99 and the price goes up as people pay the minimum, stays the same as people pay slightly above it, and drops with larger purchases. Games are almost all available on the service Desura, which is the company involved in these bundles, with Steam keys and direct downloads available when possible. A bonus album is also available in each bundle for those who pay above a higher minimum.

No, Gas Guzzlers: Combat Carnage was in the bundle. What's on Steam is Gas Guzzlers Extreme.

I guess they figured if they take everything from the old game, add some stuff, then make it a new game they can avoid giving keys to early adopters. There's probably more to it than that, but considering how long it took Gamepires to even put a decent sale price on Gas Guzzlers:CC I'm not really surprised.

 
Super Amazing Wagon Adventure Steam keys are now available on the collection page through the Desura client. You can't get them through web browser or the IR site yet. It was in the Indie Royale The Getaway Bundle.

Fantastic little game. One of the few games I've actually played on Desura.

The only one I want is Perfection (well, Cities in Motion 2 as well, but I know I'd never play it), but considering the MSRP for it is less than the bundle itself I will just wait for the winter sale.

 
I'm kind-of interested in XenoMiner but the other stuff I'm not sure about.  I have Cities in Motion and have never played it.  Impire doesn't look terribly interesting to me and neither does Perfection (sorry Squirrel).

How does that work with a single Desura key? Would the person have to buy the bundle without signing on to their account while making the purchase? Then they could sell the key that would give copies of all the Desura games in the bundle? I was thinking the Desura key was automatically redeemed last time I bought a bundle under my account but that's been a while.

From what I hear (which could be 100% wrong), I believe if you buy the bundle with the same email addr as your Desura account, when you redeem the IR Single Desura key (for all the Desura games), it sees the email addr connection and deposits them in your Desura account.

I think you would have to buy the IR Bundle under a different email addr (that doesn't have a Desura account associated with it), then you could give that link to someone (who would then upon redeeming be prompted for a Desura account/email).

The other issue is this: since the desura "key" is the same as the IR "key", the person you give the desura "key" to can also access your IR Bundle (i.e. see your steam keys, redeem your steam keys (if not already redeemed), etc.).

Of course, the above could be totally wrong.

Now, for another twist: In the case of Xenominer, it comes with a key that you can redeem in-game, that is an "Early Adopter" key, which converts the trial to full, I'm guessing (dunno since i already had the game prior to this bundle...DOH!). I'm also guessing redeeming the key in game doesn't add it to your desura collection? Dunno, again....

If you would like to play the full game, and possibly not pad out your Desura Collection, I can give you my "Xenominer" "Early Adopter" key.

Oh I forgot about the possibility of seeing Steam keys from the bundle if you get the Desura key. I never give out/sell my IR Desura key because it just seems too iffy.

Eh another pass for IndieRoyale I would like duke (I have the other 2 earlier games from GOG), and perfection looks ok but bundle fodder for someone else. BTW it may just be me but i'm really getting tired of Voxel everything with games that look like Minecraft. It's a fad that I hope will pass quickly.

 
Darn, another bundle that I missed. Now the average is up to $6 already, dont think it's worth it for just those games (considering the lower Metacritic scores).

I don't suppose anyone has a cheaper early buyer bundle you want to sell?

Nah it's not just you. I'm getting tired of it too. For me, it sceams graphic design laziness whenever someone chooses to go with a voxel based game.

Thanks for the heads up. I checked the Friday before and they didn't have any freebies but forgot to check this past Friday. Apparently they are free beyond that day because I just added them to my account. And by "added" I mean started the download because Desura is a big poo poo head and won't let me just add them to my account like all other client do. Pfft.

Disclaimer: I really have no idea if all other clients allow you to add free games to your account without downloading but do not chastise me for making things up to get my point across. This is the internet. Everyone does it.

At least Desura lets you add them to your account, with Steam they disappear as soon as you delete them off your HDD :whistle2:(

I think I have only gotten free DLC from Steam and that appears to show on my account even if I haven't installed the game it goes with. What free games have you gotten through Steam?

Thanks for the link! I guess I was thinking more about games given away for free through Steam (that normally cost money) as opposed to the free-to-play games. Maybe they have never done that like Desura, GOG, GMG and others have done.

Indie Royale has turned into the Whole Foods of bundles.  fuck that, I can get the same shit for cheaper elsewhere.  Not a bad bundle, but I'd expect like 10 mumbo jumbo games for $5.

 
The games are all in preorder status on Desura, and the release date for the games is Oct 26, meaning that the bundle may launch on Oct 26.

I actually finished Angelica Weaver that I got from Groupees - for a casual adventure, it's not too bad. But yes, too many repeats for me to consider this bundle. The only game I would want is Glowfish and it'll turn up in a Groupees BAB or IndieGalalala sometime soon.
