It's essentially Mortal Kombat with DC skins and a couple new mechanics that you may or may not find irritating (I'm certain this description will irritate somebody). I think it's pretty fun. Netherrealm is really apt at making a meaty single player experience, so you never need to take it online and could still be entertained for quite a while. Haven't played the vita port yet, but I did enjoy my time with ps3 version.

For the record, I'm not a DC fan but I enjoy and am mediocre at fighting games.
 
Is it possible the Flower file on PSN is different than the one that used to be on there.  When I bought it, it said "Free" for both PSN and Vita, but any normal game would have said something like "redownload" and not "free".

I mean, I didn't have any issues with getting the game for free, but I still thought that was weird.

 
yeah strange. showing full price for lots of items I already bought, and when i try to 'rebuy' them, it says i am not eligible to download or purchase this item, but still in my dl list. odd... maybe just site problems now... I bought doom 3 bfg when it was on sale, now says 19.99 and won't let me purchase or dl it. but still on my dl list. argh, lol. 

iv tried signing in and refreshing, but seems to be a seperate issue...

also i called Activision and they had to take down the CoD Ghosts ClanApp, but say it will be back up within the next week by the time ClanWars start. Wootwoot

Can't speak to the Vita/PS4 versions but the PS3 version was awesome. Like pete said it's basically the most recent Mortal Kombat redone for super heroes. It also plays really well with a controller (better than with a stick to me) which is a rarity. Casual enough for anyone to get into but with the usual depth of a fighting game. The only thing that ended up putting me off the game to the point of ending up selling it was that the netcode was laggy as sin so to play multiplayer you had to learn this entirely different timing that didn't correspond to what was happening on screen. It was a well known thing and they talked about fixing it at some point but I sold it shortly after Batgirl came out if I remember right so I don't know if they fixed it in the new versions or patched the old ones.

It must be because when I search Flower it shows me one that I've purchased, then a PS3 and a Vita version (two items) that are free.

Edit- Looks like the one that I purchased previously is now just the demo and they moved the game out into it's own listings? Very odd.

No, it's the same as before. The web store has just been weird lately with how it shows purchased items, especially for Cross Buy stuff.

 
Wonder if DiveKick will be cross-buy across PS3/vita/PS4? If it is I have no issue picking it up at the sale price. Not even sure it is still a launch title.

Finally got time on a PS4 demo station and bring on Octodad. Most fun I've had in awhile.
 
I got my dualshock 4 last week from amazon deal. It's just gonna mock me. Even if it works on ps3, as others have told me with a cord it does, it is just teasing me to abandon my backlog and go for ps4....no... must resist....

I had no idea Flower was on the Vita too. I had bought it when it first came out on PS3.

There are 3 listings in the web store for it. A Ps3 only for 6.99,  a Ps3 version for free, and a Vita version for free.

It wouldn't let me buy the free PS3 version, but the free Vita version worked.

Maybe because I had bought it already that long ago?

 
Wow, I really didn't like Kickbeat at all.  Zen usually puts out some good stuff but Kickbeat seems pretty lame.  Guess I'll be saving that $5.50 and putting it towards some of the Ubisoft games.

I just played a little bit and I'm surprised it translates so well on a portable. At first I was moving my entire body like a lame, lol, but I got the hang of it. So awesome of them to do this.

I'm not seeing the three listings for Flower that you guys seem to be. There's just the PS3 and Vita versions. Maybe you're seeing the demo and thinking it's also the game?

 
So I've never bought Flower, but I did play it under my account on a friend's console. Vita version is showing free for me though. Scanned my download list and PS3 version isn't on there. Checked the store and PS3 version shows full price.

I found a USB extender I didn't know I had so now I have a 10-12 foot cable and other than the games it doesn't work on (like Runner 2 :sob:) I can't imagine going back. Get a decent length cable and embrace the DS4 and have the best of both worlds.

Then as long as it's as good as the PS3 version it's absolutely worth it and the Vita version of Mortal Kombat was really well done. There's an actual story mode of some length where you play a couple fights at a time with different fighters and is really well put together. Lots of challenge stuff and unlocks to sink time into as well.

I never received the $10 PSN credit for $50 spent... I renewed PS+, but bought the card at Best Buy... I take it that didn't qualify? Needed to renew thru the PSN storefront?
 
When I have cords running from the ps3 to the couch, my 2y/o thinks its a game of jump rope. Its just a matter of time how many times he runs back and forth across the cord before he trips on it and pulls out cord/ps3 on floor/i throw controller in air. LOL

 I had similar problems with my px11 turtlebeach headset so i can only use it when he is asleep or in another room.

n yeah dick.blake. you should have bought a $50 psn card at the store and then redeemed ps+ on ps3 store. that sucks, sorry dude but I think Frisky had to have said that at least 20 times past month...

You bought the year of PS+ card? Nope, those don't qualify. Had to buy a $50 card, add it to your wallet then use that to renew through PSN.

Thanks for the reply. I've heard of that series but never got around to watching it. It the rest of the series is as crazy/awesome as that clip I will go back to enjoying life for a bit.

 
Serious question...can someone explain to me what this survival guide for TLoU is? I'm guessing a strategy guide that you download to the PS3. But can you somehow use this when you have the game open? Or do you have to close the game, open the guide to look at what you're stuck on, and then load the game back up? Seems like a lot of work.
 
I was messing around on the PSN web store while they were still updating today and it was doing weird stuff.  For a while, it had Oddworld: Strangers Wrath in the "Expiring Soon" section of PS+.  Does that mean anything?  I thought maybe it meant it would be free this week. But that wouldn't make sense either.

It means you don't mess with PSN while it's updating because bad things happen like when you feed a mogwai after midnight.

If you need a strategy guide for TLOU you are doing it wrong. I think lot of us beat survivor without touching a guide and are better for it, lol. Im a fool and only buy C.E. strategy guides to sit like trophies on my bookshelves.

Yeah, I need to stop that. At least I haven't ever accidentally bought something that's supposed to be free. That would supremely vexate me even more than the floppy controls and poor design decisions of Assassin's Creed 2.

Does anyone have an idea of when the next "spend 50 get 10" deal will be on? My subscription is ending soon and that's the best deal.

 
actually better deal would be $30 ps+ subs at gamestop and amazon on black friday. if you are into that sorta thing.
