The shipping had been reduced to "free" when this deal 1st went live, I took too long debating in my cart and then the total went up when I refreshed.Tempted but man this seems like such a dead system with no real future and to the previous poster, shipping has been $7 for at least the last few weeks. I'm torn as I want one but it's basically a 1st party machine like the Gamecube.
The Wii U is beginning to have a worthy library, but I'm waiting for the console to hit Gamecube/Wii prices. Any self-respecting CAG should have expected to save more than this on Black Friday. I think one of the stores will have a deal at or near $200 before very long. The shipping had been reduced to "free" when this deal 1st went live, I took too long debating in my cart and then the total went up when I refreshed.
Also, while the Wii U probably won't ever hit Wii levels (or maybe even Gamecube at this point), there are still some promising titles coming down the pipe such as Smash Bros., Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2, and Monolith's new game. Plus, Super Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3, Lego City and The Wonderful 101 are already out.
In three years?I'll buy a Wii U eventally when it hits $200. I can wait.
The Mario bundle was $250 not too long ago so maybe it's possible to see $200 with the use of a coupon. In three years?
Um $250 was discounted price, it is not getting $100 discounted off a retail price of $300.The Mario bundle was $250 not too long ago so maybe it's possible to see $200 with the use of a coupon.
I should have mentioned that the coupons can deduct from the sale price as well depending on where you buy. Assume this: Newegg has the bundle on sale for $250 and then you use a $50 off $250 coupon on that same bundle that's on sale. You will be paying about $200 after using the coupon.Um $250 was discounted price, it is not getting $100 discounted off a retail price of $300.
We are lucky to get 10% off, so let just assume we are not getting $50 coupon.I should have mentioned that the coupons can deduct from the sale price as well depending on where you buy. Ok , let's take 10% off of $250 then.We are lucky to get 10% off, so let just assume we are not getting $50 coupon.
Dead system? It's just getting warmed up lol!Tempted but man this seems like such a dead system with no real future and to the previous poster, shipping has been $7 for at least the last few weeks. I'm torn as I want one but it's basically a 1st party machine like the Gamecube.
I agree!Dead system? It's just getting warmed up lol!
Look at all the masterpiece exclusives to come in just the first 365 days alone (forget the hogwash dime a dozen dirty multiplats, you can AND WILL play those elsewhere anyways). I can name a few of the biggest right here: New Super Mario Bros U. Pikmin 3. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. Wonderful 101. Zelda Windwaker HD. Super Mario 3D World. Wii Sports Club. All of them top notch and exclusive to the system. With Bayonetta 2, Donkey Kong Country Tropcical Freeze, Smash Bros 4, Mario Kart 8, Monolith Soft's X, Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem and Zelda U all due in 2014, I find it hard not to choke when reading your comment lol!
I'll put it to you like this: I own a Wii U, PS4, 3DS and Vita, and only one of those systems gets play every day. Matter of fact, I played PS4 for ONE hour before getting bored of it, and went back to playing my Wii U where all the great games are. Almost 500 hours into Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and I haven't even fought all the monsters yet. If you want to game, Wii U is where it's at. And THAT'S the truth.
It's a dead system just like the PS Vita. It's up to Nintendo and Sony to keep the system alive. Third party development has either ignored the systems or are providing table scrap development. It's all about the PS4 and XONE for the 3rd party devs going forward.Dead system? It's just getting warmed up lol!
I definitely want to play all of those games you mentioned. The shipping had been reduced to "free" when this deal 1st went live, I took too long debating in my cart and then the total went up when I refreshed.

I agree with you. I really want to, I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger right now. I already have a few Wii-U games too. Maybe next black friday... (but I'll probably be buying a ps4 and/or an xbox one first). The Wii U is beginning to have a worthy library, but I'm waiting for the console to hit Gamecube/Wii prices. Nice find, but Target charges tax. eBay is supposed to have a $250 bundle cyber Monday, so I'm going to hold out.Right now Target is selling the one with Nintendoland $250 and it ships free.

People must be desperate.Damn, out of stock online.
Late 2014 sounds like the time when it starts becoming worth it to own a Wii U (obviously for the games).Dead system? It's just getting warmed up lol!
