GGT 288 Will Always Be Fast & Furious

Super Mario Land 2 is a lot of fun. Wish I had played it as a kid--it's such a huge leap from the basic, weird-ass Mario Land I grew up with.

Get Ni No Kuni.

I finally finished that paper.

I probably shouldn't have stopped to watch Kick-Ass 2 in the middle of it, but whatever, it got done, you know?

It's actually more of a space concern. Ni No Kuni is gigantic.
Fair enough, I have only played the demo of Army of Two and have not played Ni No Kuni. I did enjoy the demo of AoT a bit but I did play it in co-op with a buddy, it might not be the best game in solo. NNK does look fun but I never got around to it, have a lot of long RPGs to play already :/

Did some more Killer Instinct Classic since I got the Ultra Bundle of the new one, this game's just a lot harder then I remember :O

Stupid money stealing arcade game, this is how I ended up beating arcade mode.....Jump kick, down, Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y get hit repeat etc :p

I also liked the Army of Two demo and I would be playing it co-op, so between that and the size it seems like the best to get, but I've heard so much good about Ni No Kuni that it makes me want to grab it while it's super cheap since it has been so long since I really enjoyed a JRPG. I just wish it wasn't 21 gigs. That'd make it the biggest game I've downloaded on PSN.

I never really played Killer Instinct, but I do want to play the new one. Gah, I'd rather have a PS4, though.

Tear way is pretty sweet. It is one of the few vita games that uses everything on the system in an interesting way.

I want to trade in bf4. It's a fucking mess.

I'll soon be an IT support guy for my local school district! Provided my references don't throw me under the bus.

Anyone in that field? It's only part time but if things look promising I think I might try to get certified for higher positions in the future.

Depends on what you want to do, but certs never hurt.

And shouldn't this be in the job thread in the OT? :D

what did you mean by " provided my references don't throw me under the bus"? are you afraid that you might be underqualified?

Congrats, man. I've got a few friends in the field and getting various certifications seems to have helped them out. Really all falls to the employer though. Some like collecting certs through their employees, others only care about results. Be good to feel out the situation, but like Dough said, they won't ever work against you.

I can't decide between Ni No Kuni and Army of Two on PSN...
I loved Ni No Kuni, but I know a lot of people that got bored with it. The Ghibli charm and Pokemon-lite nature of it kept me coming back, but it's certainly not reinventing the JRPG wheel. It's pretty formulaic and a little on the long side, but the story's pretty cool, the music's great, and it sure is pretty.

I've found that most certs are irrelevant to your actual job as well as irrelevant to how "good" you are at it, but everyone wants to see them, so you need them.

All of these projects in one week is making me lose sleep. Oh yeah, I watched Spring Breakers last night and I think it's my favorite movie that I've seen this year

Uncharted 3 feels pretty average so far. Can't put my finger on why, though. Well, the young drake segment was really bland, shooting feels really shoddy but mainly with the handguns, and I don't remember UC2 being quite as obnoxious with the arbitrary platforming. There's already been like 4-5 cases of getting to a blocked door and having to climb all over the room to find a way to bypass it. It's just ehhh. Just give me those tasty scripted sequences, naughty dog.

Nolan North's dialogue ain't so good this time around, either.

Ni No Kuni. I have it somewhere, it's on the backlog list. ;)

I once played an Army of Two game. I thought I might like it because I liked TPS gameplay in Gears of War. I shut it off after 5 minutes and never touched it again. True story. :)

It's actually more of a space concern. Ni No Kuni is gigantic.
Ni No Kuni has been <$10 this week physical copy too. Save your Army of Two money and find a physical copy if you're worried about space issues/download speeds.

When was the last time you played Uncharted 2 -- is it possible you're looking at it with rose-colored glasses? Then again, I thought Uncharted 2 wasn't as good as Uncharted (save for the obvious gameplay improvements), so maybe it's me who's remembering incorrectly. But when comparing Uncharted 3 and Uncharted 2, Uncharted 3 did everything better, IMO -- unless you just wanted more "shootbang" and less "filler between shootbang". :)

unless you planning to join, and compete in a pro tournament, those are pointless.
Bullshit. Depending on your message, it could be that you're implying:
(1)You don't need to buy a quality arcade stick unless you compete in tournaments. If that's the case: Have fun buying a $70 HRAP EX2 instead when everything gets loose and starts breaking.
(2) You don't need to buy THAT arcade stick because even most people who win tournaments don't use them (unlikely that you meant this, but it's true). In that case, see the recommendation below.

When it comes to arcade sticks, you get what you pay for... though I'm not sure why gunnm would go for that instead of one of the Madcatz TE sticks or something of that sort -- a little more cost effective, no importing necessary, sometimes very easy to mod for versatility, etc. I <3 my original SFIV TE.

Yeah I'm very positive UC2 was better than this, and leagues ahead of the original. At least for me. Or maybe I'm wrong about the entire UC series and TR just has me spoiled.

Fair enough.

I'm the opposite. I felt like Uncharted 2 became a showcase for everything they developed for the multiplayer portion and a lot of it felt subpar and phoned in to me. Uncharted 3 felt more like Uncharted to me, but with gameplay improvements and such. Probably why I like it more than Uncharted 2. That and there are no smurfs on steroids. ;)

As for TR... I haven't gotten far enough to see if I like it better than Uncharted yet, I've been side tracked with SR3, but hopefully I'll be done with that tonight, I think.

I haven't played TR, but your assessments of the Uncharted games seem to be just the same as mine.
