New Thread:

This thread has been replaced by TSDT v11

Daily Deal:
Please check the Steam homepage.

Weeklong Deals:
Steam usually has week-long deals that change on Mondays at 6PM UTC. They mostly feature indie games, and may not run every week.

Sale summary lists:

Key:
⤷ indicates DLC, — specifies part of a pack, + shows alternative versions, ⚠ highlights things worth knowing, ♫ is obvious, and ... denotes a multi-pack.

Holiday Sale 2013 | 19/12/13 through 3/1/14:
Days 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-14.

Spring/Autumn Sale 2013 | 27/11/13 through 3/12/13:
All days.

Steam deals on other stores: (Related threads on CAG.)

Indie* bundle threads: (*Not always indie, nor always a bundle.)

Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

Is the answer "everyone"?

I kinda need to hit something right now...
I'm confident I know this one. It's based on only a few posts back when we were in the midst of changing over to winter avatars.

Game was released two months ago and it's already 75% off.
Game also has $40 MSRP, which just seems crazy to me.

Hep Meccas[/size]
CHEEP SCAM
Mac Speech
Cheep Macs

;) (just wanted to share those)

The real answer is:

Cap Scheme ...you see once Gaben's cards have lost their luster, Steam Pogs.

Laughter at other peoples expense really is the best kind.

I'm so going to Hell.
I'll be right there beside you playing Bad Rats.

Haven't seen it posted but keys were added for Frozen Hearth to the groupees build a greenlight bundle 4.
thanks, got mine :)

Is anyone else getting the YDKJ bundle? That's super tempting for $5.

Have they aged well?
yep, got it for my wife since she's wanted it since it hit Steam. We have volume 1 and 3 on cd (shiny disk for storing data for you kids) but it's a pain in the ass and optical drives are loud and slow compared to the rest of the system.

My favorite way to give away games is like this:

First one to unscramble each game name wins a key for that game:

Orchard

2012: No Relatives

Hep Meccas
what the fuck is Ceca Hemps?

ok, where's my hemp

Hard Reset (same developers I think) also started out at $40 MSRP until they finally started slashing it drastically. Of course, it was only three hours long. Not sure how long Shadow Warrior remake is.

I'm sitting here thinking of the most obtuse ways to obfuscate Steam keys for a code drop and realizing that the sadistic pleasure of subjecting people to them completely eclipses any inherent joy of sharing games in the first place.

I may be a bad person.

I personally want to encode them as filter coefficients and just provide an input and output signal, and make the person estimate the coefficients, but I think that'd be way over the head of most CAGs. ...ooh evil... I just figured a simplified version of that I could do that's (fairly) understandable with a brief tutorial.

Just give 'em to me, bro. Assuming I want them.

I'd just put them in a magic eye poster, but I bet people would only see a sailboat.

It happens once in a while. It's normal.

Be grateful the Steam servers aren't melting like on the last couple of sales...
Yeah, the servers have been a lot more stable, which I am grateful for. Just annoying since I wanted to list my remaining cards for sale before leaving for vacation ...

Put in 6 codes with no titles.

Say that one of them is Ride to Hell: Retribution

The brave CAG who wants to risk having that in their library deserves any keys he uncovers.

I'd take a chance, but I already own that gem.

Speaking of gems, I bought DuckTales Remastered earlier today.

... I beat it in three hours with 15 achievements out of 20. Yyyyyyyyyyyep. I'm pretty glad that I didn't pay fifteen bucks for it, but still... either I remember way too much about the game from back when I beat it in 1991, or it's just too easy.

Or both.

It's -not- a bad game at all, the extra couple of levels were pretty nice to go through.

Whoops.  I didn't notice this Serious Sam 3 drop was a foil and just sold it for 10 cents.  Oh well, at least it wasn't a particularly valuable one.  Hope someone here got it.

Day 3:

Enslaved

Ducktales

Antichamber

Strike Suit Infinity

Teleglitch+ dlc

Homefront+dlc

Bit Trip Fate

Paranautical Activity

So 3 EA games have already won the community votes... talk about EA being voted worst company in America. :whistle2:k
3 EA games have won... Electronic Arts --> Racist Electron --> Rancor Testicle --> Erect Cilantros--> Half-Life 3, L4D3, Portal 3, all confirmed and will be free Wednesday at 10 am! But they have to win a vote... and the community will vote for Ace of Spades.

Teleglitch looks good.
No, Indiegala Limited is the same price and with more bundle fodder for your buck. & Grand Steps is the only game I don't even recognize, so I say vote for that.

Edit: ^Spoderlink is go ^

I just got Teleglitch for 2 bux before and its pretty cool, its real hard and the graphics are very ummm simple.

In for Eldritch for 2.99 ^_^

To get the complete Awesomenauts dlcs, the price will come up to $20.95.
Most of those are just character skins though. The only real content one is the Starstorm expansion which just came out like two weeks ago.

Oddly though, when Awesomenauts first hit the flash sale the Starstorm expansion was 75% off, but it's not anymore. I guess they made a mistake applying the discount to it originally. Which is dumb because the pack that includes the game and expansion is cheaper now than just the expansion...

Looks like it was a price glitch and now has been fixed.
