It's good stuff man. I haven't had that much fun listening to some guy lose his mind since I watched 127 Hours.
Well, I made the mistake of watching Open Water once and that convinced me that staring at people who are waiting to die for ninety minutes is the exact opposite of entertainment, so my plans are to never view 127 Hours.

I went to the Vodo site just now and apparently they had about 400 people buy the bundle in the last 10 hours so they decided to slap another week on the clock a la Indie Gala. So I guess I have another week to decide.

Why do "Go Go Go" and "You must die!" immediately spring to mind when I see that quote....
Enemies everywhere!

Edit: Just emailed from Amazon...my copy of Dark Souls 2 will be delivered March 13...just in time for next weekend. kafjoeifoasife can't wait.

I don't know wtf this comic is saying, seems like total nonsense.
I'd use the term absurd rather than nonsense. It's really an excellent comic series to read through. Very funny in a warped sort of way.

If anyone does decide to grab the Vodo bundle and wouldn't mind using my referral link, send me a pm.

Send them to trashbot.
It's less that I dislike them cluttering up my inventory than the disappointment from seeing the little green icon light up in my Steam window, only to check my inventory and find...oh...another DF coupon. Booooooo.

Whoa! Are those guys from the FUTURE???!!!!!

Open Water wouldn't have been so bad except that the two main (and only) characters were so goddamned annoying that I was actively rooting for the sharks.

And the Lazy Guys continue to be...lazy. I've bought like five bundles this week. I think I can skip this one.

Not terribly CAGly, but I had to pre-order Dark Souls 2. At least I paid less than 360 or PS3 by $20.

Pre-ordered PC version from GMG. Got 20% off using H799RH-7L8NPP-RCKKT8 Source: http://www.gamebreaker.tv/deals/dark-souls-ii/

Alternate code: OQE4LG-WEQPSE-SMCME1 Source: http://slickdeals.net/f/6766962-dark-souls-2-pc-preorder-40-ac-greenmangaming?p=66598752 (May be expired)

Is anyone having trouble sending money through PayPal's "I'm sending money to family or friends" feature? I've never had a problem with it before but it's been giving me this error now since last night:

http://i.imgur.com/XHiOEhB.png

"I'm paying for goods or services" does not give me any of kind of error. Anyone else experiencing this? Is PayPal locking me out of the option or something?

Sorry, I know this isn't exactly the PayPal thread but I couldn't really find an appropriate forum... I guess the off-topic one but this didn't really seem worthy of its own thread.

Blood Oath or they don't really mean it.

Rockabilly subculture. Didja notice them in Katamari Damacy?

In other news, I played Journey last night (PSN) and boy is that the ultimate 2Deep4U nonsense ever.
Aww, I kinda liked it even though I do admit it is rather on the artsy fartsy side.

Personally as 2deep4u games go I found Dinner Date more putrid and The Graveyard more 'Really?!?'

Site is broken for me, but a buyer mentioned an error sending gift payment last night.

Tempted on this, but then tempted to get it on 3DS instead. This one does claim to have additional content.

Hold off until the inevitable "All DLC included" bundle. I'm surprised Capcom hasn't made a package like that yet.

Gamefly's running a Rockstar Games promo. It's the usual stuff, the GTAs, Bully, Manhunt and LA Noire. The LA Noire DLC pack is pretty cheap ($2.40) or you can get the complete edition for like $4.80 after applying the MAR20OFF coupon.

I never saw Open Water, but 127 Hours is one of the more uplifting movies I have ever seen. And I could see how that might seem like a sarcastic statement, but I assure you that it is not. Of course, if they made a video game out of either of those I would buy it for sure!

Journey is a beautiful game...but that's mostly it. The people who made it out to be a life changing event that brought them to tears are insane.

The DLC for RE:R is pretty much useless.. don't know why anyone would wait for a complete pack when the DLC is level 1 raid mode guns that are superseded the moment you hit level 2 anyway, 2 DLC raid mode characters (with only 1 being decent), and some parts that are probably useful but I think you can obtain them in raid mode anyway. All of the DLC is for raid mode, absolutely no reason to wait for a complete collection.

It's a very good game, and the PC port is the best version IMO. I wouldn't buy it for 3DS, but that's mostly because I love the mouse/kb support.

Looks like those 20% off codes no longer work for pre-ordering at GMG. They've instead switched over to $10 cash back or $12 GMG credit off the $49.99 MSRP.

Is anyone going to jump on a ~25% discount? Seems like a fairly standard discount for a pre-order these days.

Yeah, that's basically my thoughts on it so far. I mean the atmosphere is beautiful and there is entertainment in just running around, but as far the gameplay and story it is lacking.

I agree with pretty much all of this. I like Raid mode a lot (a very loot-focused way to run through levels with an optional co-op buddy), as well as both of the DLC characters, but you can skip all of the weapon DLC as it basically equates to minor boosts that you'll outgrow quickly. Most of the fun of Raid mode comes from getting your own loot drops, like Borderlands. Grabbing just the characters is $1.48 on sale, btw.

The PC version probably looks and plays the best out of all of them, but there's still some value in having almost the same experience in a portable form. I played and enjoyed the 3DS version over a year before the PC port came out and still think it's one of that platform's best games.

There's a couple of threads right now for Hearthstone and D3 on BGCQ where people are exchanging Blizzard IDs. Flow made a D3 clan too. I have been bestowed the rank of Gorilla Diaper.
I know this is a day late but is there anywhere else where Blizzard IDs are being exchanged besides BGCQ (not part of group)? I have been playing a fair amount of D3 lately and everyone I used to play with has long since quit. Would be good to have others to group with for Act V on NA servers.

I've been playing more. Add me Stovepipe#1609

Anyone else that's wants to add me can too.

Posting these for posterity, GetGamesGo has a few sales you probably won't be interested in:

If you thought Hero Siege was being promiscuous with the bundles, the Total War series is having another orgy sale today for 55-75% off, its third on a different site in 8 days.  /aintnobodygottimeforthat.gif.

Also, GGG is having a Get Loaded 2k sale, ending in about 2 days, 18 hours at the time of posting.

3 games for $23, 4 for $28, or 5 for $30 on the following games:

  • Bioshock Infinite
  • Civ 4 Complete
  • Civ 5
  • Civ 5: Brave New World
  • Civ 5: Gods and Kings
  • The Bureau: XCOM Declassified
  • Borderlands 2
  • Spec Ops The Line

Just beat Brothers tale of 2 sons, truly amazing game. What an original experience, I loved it (once I added extra AA.)

Now that I've pre-ordered, I'm starting to get excited but also nervous. I remember how I felt just before getting Dark Souls: I had put a ton of hours into Demon's Souls and while it was very satisfying, it could also be oppressive and frustrating. I ended up putting a ton of hours into Dark Souls and loving it (also hating it), but my gaming time is more limited lately. To get the most from these games, you really have to commit to them in ways few other games require. Learning the environments, traps, controls, combat, etc. All part of the fun, but similar (I think) to the investment required to get really good at a sim oriented racing game (i.e. learning the tracks, the car handling, etc.). Anyone else have similar feelings?

Looks like Capcom pulled the plug on the daily, as it got replaced by stock daily deal filler Left 4 Dead 2 for the five people who forgot to get it for free in December.
