So the Doorways devs are pretty cool.  I wrote them asking them a few questions about the game (when the other episodes will be completed, how many total episodes are planned, etc.) and then asked them if they were going to be in a bundle soon and they confirmed it will be in a bundle starting March 15th.  Maybe this is already common knowledge, but I thought it was cool of them to let me know since I know a lot of them don't like to give out that info.

Does an evil witch masturbate with a magic broom until she bleeds in your book? No? Didn't think so.
So I guess you could say she got swept up in the act...?

Thank you! I'll be here all week!

In a moment of seriousness... I would like to say:

Activision, franchise sales usually include all the games, at at least most of them, in the sale... Also, I'm not sure how 20 bucks for MW3 can be considered a sale... Its three games old now!

Speedrunners, been meaning to mention this since Monday but I got this game in a 4 pack when it first came out (and the 4 pack was on sale) and I must admit its a pretty awesome little game. It got update fairly recently with a single player campaign that any Trials fan would likely enjoy. I really do recommend it.

ordering that shit on amazon.

I never said I didn't like them, look at my Steam played list. I said those aren't RPGs and we should stop labeling every damn game with a skill tree an RPG. I like a fast food burger just as much as the next guy but it doesn't mean it's a steak.
did you skip your meds again today?

It's not an erotic novel or anything in the slightest. It's totally just a fantasy novel, but the author seems to be completely shameless about taking any liberties she wants in writing, whether it comes to structure, dialect, vocabulary, and lewdness, if it serves her purposes and works in the story.

By today's "modern conventions", so many rules are broken in this book. Hell, any writer nowadays who knows his stuff will flat out tell you "Don't portray accents via dialect." and stuff like that. It's an older practice and it's been more or less phased out, because the aim is always to make the prose easier to read for a wider audience. That's all thrown out the window in Mary Brown's stuff. She's going to lay on the accents with some characters, she's going to totally change dialogue structure in one scene because it works better that way, she's going to put in words you've never even heard before (I collect and read dictionaries, and a few words still stumped me), etc. It's a heavy read in that sense, but it has so much more depth and weight to things than most of the light reading I come across nowadays. I guess I should just stick to 70s and 80s authors for my fantasy reading.

Anyways, I love the book, and I'm definitely grabbing another book from her once I'm done with this one. Like I said though, it definitely ain't an erotic novel at all. That whole thing with the witch was just a tool to paint an utterly disgusting picture of her, and confuse the young, sheltered female protagonist (it actually played a role later in the book, slightly). It wasn't something that was described in detail, anyways. Any sexual content in the book thus far has been vague enough (besides delightful terms like "prick").

Looks like those deals are part of some silly British Academy Games Award promo. Based on the nominations this confirms my suspicions that all brits are pretentious twits with bad teeth.

Interesting article over on Kotaku - We're Buying More PC Games Than We Can Play

y2t4pdwvic9priz3libp.jpg

For those who want to add to the research with data on your own collection, there is a follow-up survey here.
He doesn't distinguish between PC Gaming Master Race and Console Peasants... I suspect that is skewing the numbers. It would be more interesting to see these two groups differently since the market dynamic for each is different (resale/used game market vs cheapass steam games). His numbers are petite. ...Does make me wonder... so how many games would one add if they bought every Humble Bundle/Weekly in the last year. (Only counting HB, since it's the only mainstream bundle... and it gets mentioning in non-gaming focused tech press.)

The linked follow up survey does ask which platforms you primarily game on and PC is one of the questions so it looks like they are going to differentiate this time from console vs PC vs mobile vs portable console.

Agree with the sentiment that the only thing worth looking at here is EW. I'll wait til a price drop though.

Edit:  fuck dark souls 2 wasn't supposed to come in the mail til tomorrow...it just came. But i have a big paper due tonight that i haven't started yet. FUQQQQQQQQQQ Y U DO DIS

Yeah I just finished it... it was quite a rough survey, that could have used some trialing before deployment.

i like how it asked if i was ashamed of my backlog...
I thought the weirdest was "Am I proud to be a Gamer?"

...it's not a part of my identity... most everyone my age (and younger) plays some form of videos games sometime.

I can think of a number of words/activities that I'd accept as part of my identity, but gamer isn't one of them.

XCOM:EW @75%!!! nice one

I finished the main game some weeks ago and uninstalled it thinking EW will hit 75% by summer Sale. I'll have to download it all again!!

I want EW at that price...but from GMG.  Also BNW.  Have to save my Gaben pennies for Marvel Puzzle Quest gold (yes, they got me hook, line, and sinker)...

Just a reminder... GMG's 20% coupons now require a $10 minimum cart (limit 5 items)... which seriously makes me second guess my traditional thoughts of "wait for GMG/GF sale + 20% off"

I never used to buy from GMG or GF. Their deals were always either too rich for my blood or on games I somehow already had. But you don't need coupons if you've got Playfire rewards burning a hole in your pocket...

Gamefly doesn't require a minimum at this point, but yeah the min for GMG is lame. It's somewhat offset but Playfire rewards but those seem to have issues for a lot of people.

I have been waiting for BNW to go on sale at GMG so I can use some Playfire credit which seems to come through fine for me. Usually when one store has a game on sale they all do but GMG is still full price.

That's a lot of good stuff that I won't win :)

And at a time and day when I can watch, I'll pop in a for a bit.

Since my name isn't Drabelincoln, I won't win.

Also I won something once on one of his twitches and it was a game I already had.

Ah right, it just crept into my stacking 20% off thinking. I feel Playfire rewards are no replacement for the coupons because the coupons were simple and just worked. Playfire is a total cluster fuck, technically, but also by requiring you get listed achivements withing a small window (and not have them previously).
