FYI, each tier is one single redeemable gift link for the SEGA Humble Weekly bundle.

I did something terrible. I started Civilization V. I was holding on playing that game for a very long time and now I did it (playfire reward). I know I won't stop playing it. It was difficult to stop playing Civ IV and now this...

I'm trying to decide if I should pick up a lot of the Rockstar games I don't have using Gaben bucks, or wait for the Rockstar Humble Bundle?  I got burned owning most of the games on the Sega Humble, should have waited.

Infestation: Survivor Stories is 90% off. $1.49. Think that is the "so cheap I don't give a fuck " price.
No, that's $1. Even then I ponder a bundle. But for The War Z? Pass. Hell, I don't even think I'd like the good games in this odd subgenre of "I hope I don't get killed by random assholes or AI zombies because I'm making too much noise and I've found this old Colt .45 but I don't have any bullets for it and also I only have some dehydrated bacon to eat so I'll probably starve to death before someone else finishes me off anyway" games.

Not many posts here make me actually laugh out loud, this did. Well done sir. :applause:

Unfortunately, you can't report something for being a buggy, unplayable piece of shit (and some of the ones that are aren't in Early Access either).

Most of them are pretty extreme, but offensive is really vague. In any case they are pretty much admitting at this point that they don't check anything at all and putting it all on the players to police.

Apparently it was a No Mexicans Allowed code. Must have come from Arizona.
I'm surprised they don't have a field for reporting copyright violation, something else Valve hasn't been enforcing very well on their own.

PixelJunk's Nom Nom Galaxy just hit Steam Early Access.

The first 1000 buyers from their website via the humble widget can get it for half price ($9)
While it's tempting to get in at $9 and have early access, I'm never keen on playing unfinished games and, when it comes down to it, I don't think I need to spend $9 right now on another Terraria. Even so, that limited-quantity siren's song is calling to me...

I was about to comment, doesn't everyone? ..then I realized I had a decimal point / comma mixup.

You're welcome.

Sixty in March update:

Fifteen more games down:

40: Autonomous Prototype (3/7; 102 Minutes played; 4 stars) - Very cool robot building and fighting game. A bit rough at first.
41: Postmortem: one must die (3/8; 10 Minutes played; 5 stars) - Going to have to play this one again sometime.
42: The Room 2 (3/8; a few hours played; 4 stars) - Pretty awesome. Very tactile.
43: Fat Princess (3/8; 2 Hours played or so; 2 stars) - Kind of fun, but it kept telling me to buy DLC.
44: Sound Shapes (3/9; 1 Hour played; 4 stars) - Very cool, short platformer. Looks like a lot of fun to make levels.
45: Hamlet or the Last ... (3/10; 45 Minutes played; 4 stars) - My favorite part was uploading screenshots with Hamlet quotes.
46: Penny Arcade the Game: Gamers vs. Evil (3/10; 2 Hours played; 4 stars) - Fun card game.
47: Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons (3/10; 3 Hours played; 5 stars) - Pretty good game.
48: Indie Game: The Movie & Indie Game: The Movie: The Game (3/11; 2 Hours played; 5 stars) - Good stuff. Tough game.
49: Containment: The Zombie Puzzler (3/11; 2 Hours played; 4 stars) - Pretty fun once I got into it.
50: Frog Fractions (3/11; 1 Hour played; 4 and 3/3 stars) - Everyone should play this one.
51: Beast Boxing Turbo (3/11; 2 Hours played; 4 stars) - Silly and fun and punching.
52: Digital - A Love Story (3/12; 2 Hours played; 4 stars) - Liked this one a lot.
53: don't take it personally, babe ... (3/12; 2 Hours played; 4 stars) - Shakespearian, but is it a comedy ... or a tragedy?
54: VVVVVV (3/12; 2 Hours played; 1-5 stars, depending how much you like to die) - Very frustrating but satisfying.

Previous updates:
01: Luxor (3/1; 9 Hours played; 3 stars) - Started in Feb. It's ok.
02: Love (3/1; 38 Minutes played; 3 stars) - Pretty fun.
03: The Graveyard (3/1; 13 Minutes played; 1 or maybe 5 stars) - A true gem! Or maybe not. But maybe!
04: Happy Song Prototype (3/1; 5 Minutes played; 3 stars) - Nifty?
05: The White Birch Prototype (3/1; 16 Minutes played; 4 stars) - Very nice atmospheric climbing game. Rough mechanics.
06: Black Lake Prototype (3/1; 16 Minutes played; 5 stars) - Really cool game. Gotta find that fox!
07: BRAZEN Prototype (3/1; 10 Minutes played; 4 stars) - Fun stuff. A few hours would have been too much.
08: Magical Drop V (3/1; 30 Minutes played; 2 stars) - Not sure if this game is designed for kids or perverts.
09: Worms Pinball (3/2; 6 Minutes played; 2 stars) - Don't know if I am going to count this.
10: 9.03 (3/2; 12 Minutes played; 5 stars?) - A nifty arty game about being sad and then going to a beach party for wizards. Oh, those wizards are all dead. Oh. They weren't wizards.
11: Dinner Date (3/2; 20 Minutes played; 4 stars) - Sit at a Table and Ponder Your Life: The Game
12: The Polynomial (3/2; 7 Minutes played; 4 stars) - Endless game, not sure if I should count it. Looks great.
13: GundeadliGne (3/2; 30 Minutes played; X stars) - Shoot stuff.
14: Telltale Texas Hold'Em (3/2; 15 Minutes played; 3 stars) - Pretty funny, but not as polished as their recent poker games.
15: Postal (3/3; 3 Hours played; 2 stars) - The sounds of hundreds of burning ostriches will haunt my dreams for all days.
16: Costume Quest Prototype (3/3; 13 Minutes played; 1 star) - Buggy but charming mess.
17: Save the Date (3/3; 15 Minutes played; 4 stars) - Interesting one. Well worth the investment (zero dollars and fifteen minutes)
18: Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army 2 (3/3; 6 Hours played; 4 stars) - Very fun. End boss is a pain.
19: Hope: The Other Side of Adventure (3/3; 1 Hour played; 4 stars) - Cool format, dark game. Was expecting/hoping for a different ending.
20: Karateka (3/3; 35 Minutes played; 4 stars) - Simple, fun brawler with a good atmosphere.
21: Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space (3/4; 26 Minutes played; 5 stars) - This is a cool one. Will be playing this one again.
22: Hack n Slash Prototype (3/4; 47 Minutes played; 4 stars) - Very interesting. Recommend playing.
23: Wake (3/4; 44 Minutes played; 4 stars) - Cool platformer about escaping a sinking ship.
24: Savant - Ascent (3/4; 58 Minutes played; 4 stars) - Tough as crap, cool music.
25: Samorost (3/4; 15 Minutes played; 5 stars) - Neato point and click. Short and free and cool; everyone should play it.
26: McPixel (3/4; 1 Hour played; 3 stars) - Funny but grating.
27: Lee-Lee's Quest 2 (3/4; 25 Minutes played; 4 stars) - Decent platforming, pretty funny.
28: Super Amazing Wagon Adventure (3/5; 63 Minutes played; 5 stars) - Super inventive and hard as hell.
29: Samorost 2 (3/5; 42 Minutes played; 4 stars) - Puzzles could be a bit tricky, especially the last one. Super cool game though.
30: Guns of Icarus (3/5; 38 Minutes played; 3 stars) - Pretty fun turret defense game.
31: Post Apocalyptic Mayhem (3/5; 51 Minutes played; 3 stars) - Pretty fun but the scoring system makes the race not really matter.
32: Scoregasm (3/5; 28 Minutes played; 3 stars) - Twin-stick shooter. 'Nuff said.
33: Proteus (3/5; 30 Minutes played; 5 stars) - Like Minecraft without all that annoying stuff to do!
34: Data Jammers: FastForward (3/5; 43 Minutes played; 2 stars) - This is a game.
35: DLC Quest (3/5; 36 Minutes played; 4 stars) - Funny, easy platformer. Chef recommends!
36: Bumbledore (3/6; 36 Minutes played; 2 stars) - Should have stayed a mobile game.
37: Gunman Clive (3/6; 51 Minutes played; 4 stars) - Cool Western platformer with a few fun twists.
38: Inversion (3/7; 6.5 Hours played; 3 stars) - Fun, silly third-person shooter.
39: Hexcells Plus (3/7; 6 Hours played; 5 stars) - Hexcells are perfect puzzle games. Just needs Steam Workshop.

Seems like Steam is running it's Daily DOWN once again.

You know what does work fine when you want it to?.... Origin.

Well of course. A machine can always be expected to work when nobody uses it.
I was more than kind of impressed with Origin's download speed for Titanfall, the other day. It was hitting speeds of 5 to 6 MB a second, whereas the most Steam has ever given me is 1.1 MB.

A lot of people see similar. It's not because of increased speeds, but Origin calculating it in a way to make it look that faster than it is. My maximum speed is roughly 25-28 Mbps depending on when I run my speed test. That translates to roughly 3.2-3.4 MB/s. Steam hits those numbers and usually downloads fairly steadily at that rate for me.

The last two times I've downloaded from Origin it reported speeds of about twice that, which my connection isn't capable of and has never reached for any other file transfer. I signed into my router and it confirmed that I was hitting about the same speeds as Steam.

Whereas I get ~2MB/s with Steam, and ~600kB/s with Origin.
Perhaps I'm closer to the nearest Origin server(s) (though I doubt it considering I'm in the middle of fucking nowhere) than you are. It's strange, though because I should get incredible speeds from Steam since their nearest server(s) are in Denver, less than 7 hours from here.

All I know is that I downloaded all 49 GB of Titanfall in less than 5 hours. That's an overnight and then some download from Steam.

Edit: Anyone know if there's a way to host your own server via Hamachi or the like in Infestation: Zombie Penis Hunt?

Titanfall only downloads about 20 GB and then decompresses to your HDD and takes up 49 GB. It may still be faster than Steam for you, but it's probably not hitting the numbers that it was reporting.

20 GB does sound alot closer to the time it actually took. I feel betrayed by EA now, but of course it's not the first time, nor will it be

the last.

Infestation: Survivor Stories is 90% off. $1.49. Think that is the "so cheap I don't give a fuck " price.

edit: deal runs through March 20th
Hmmm, tempted to buy some copies to give out, but I will wait until the 20th because I definitely know some knew bundles will pop out between now and then.

I think this is the bundle warning flare. I could only ignore the warning for no more than $1, so I'm gonna wait and see what happens. Thanks for the heads up!
$1.50 in Gaben bucks is worth like 0 to me in real bucks since I got it all from cards. If this ends up in a Indie Gala with a HH then it might be better to get it there. If it ends up in a $1 tier of another bundle or .75 cents in a Groupes BAB then the deal is almost even.

Quick, someone hide this before Earthbound sees and makes a BGCQ event for it!
He actually already plays it and it would probably be a fun MP event.

When it first happened to me I got really excited because it was around the time my ISP was boosting everyone's speed (by just a small amount) and I thought maybe they'd bumped me up to the next tier by accident. Before I moved I was actually getting twice the speed I was paying them for so it didn't seem unreasonable. I was very disappointed.

Anyone know if any DLC is included with any of those games? Already have most of them, but not the DLC.

Thanks
As far as I could tell, none of them come with the DLC. It would be worth it just for Company of Heroes if you don't own it. I'm surprised it didn't come with Opposing Fronts and Tales of Valor, though.

Rome is the Gold version and it includes -one- expansion pack (same as if you bought it on Steam.) But it doesn't include the Alexander expansion.

The Company of Heroes expansions still sell for $20 each, so...

Besides, where's the fun in that if there aren't griefers, hackers and megalomaniacal Russian devs to get all Putin in your Ukraine?

Great... now I really feel like an idiot for thinking that it was a good idea to buy any of those games individually.
I already owned everything in the bundle except for AP, Shogun, and the Genesis pack, and my combined playtime from all those games is probably under half an hour.

An interesting look inside the studio that made Interstellar Marines during their Indie Gala:

I still have an extra key from this if someone wants it:whistle2:

Gone.
