Enabler!

Just realized it's rockstar publisher weekend on steam...sigh...boring sales are boring.

Also amazon's past sales have crushed anything steam has up right now for rockstar.

You still haven't linked to a way to increase your number of keys, a value stored in profile.bin.
I'm sure this some horrible troll to get my to fire up BL2 (and it worked). As I indicated above, I ran gibbed, put in a random number and saved it. Where you wanting an in game screenshot of the keys too?

New Build a Bundle from Groupees is coming:

Legends of Aethereus
Guise of the Wolf
Skyborn
Luxor 3
Castleminer Z
Aveyond Lord of Twilight
Power-Up (Desura+Greenlight)
WhiteWash (Desura)

I'm curious, how long has poor Roland needed saving?

Gibbed modifies save####.sav... that value is a display value. You would see this is you set your number of keys higher than it actually is in Gibbed, used a key, quit and reloaded borderlands (this is the nicer alternative to using all your keys).

Alternatively you could make a save backup of your profile.bin (say to your docs folder), and delete profile.bin from the save folder, and try to redeem a key.

The save folder is at <user>\Documents\My Games\Borderlands 2\WillowGame\SaveData\*\ ... but you know that from Gibbed.

There's a bit of a summary here.

Honestly, I don't care, go ahead and relish in your ignorance.

Yeah. I just kind of chuckled at the page once I loaded it. I think Civ V is the only thing I have bought through steam in the last year. Everything else has been bought with trading card money.

If I didn't know we were such good friends, I'd think you're trying to trick me into doing something that could take a very long time.

No, Mr. Bruticis, I expect you to die.

Actually, yes.

So would you like me to open up 999 chests?

I don't and your screenshot doesn't prove what you think it does... but if your screenshot makes you happy that's all that counts.

Somewhere in the "blah blah blah" there was a mention of "display value".
OMG yall are killing me! ROFLMAO. I am so running out of Likes tonite

Yep! And repeated mentions of profile.bin not save####.sav holding the actual keys value.

It looks like there now is a profile.bin editor. I haven't tested it (if you do, backup your unmodded profile.bin).... Assuming the structure of profile.bin hasn't changed since this tool was last updated, this tool would modify your golden keys value in the same way as official route.

Bruticis, you're a failure as a script kiddie.

It's subtle but I accept your apology.

Next time, I'll teach you how to wipe your butt.
Please do this now as a public lesson. Given ucansukdafacs' negligence, learning to wipe may be a sufficient alternative to waiting for something that will probably never happen.

I just wanted to chime in as the voice of dissent (Mooby and Brut make it look so fun) that the Humble Sega Bundle sucks.
I'd be disappointed if it was a main bundle. It's good for a weekly. Better than Poopcrap, or a "Tim Schafer Pay for My Games I Made Forever Ago That Have Been In 83927 Bundles Now" bundle

Considering I owned none of it and it is one of the better prices for totd, which is what I was mainly interested in, and I barely can complete games anyway minus dlc. It was a buy for me.

I really did appreciate Brut warning me about how screwed the Sega Gen Collection was, and it did make me debate the worthiness, but in the end I felt it was still worth the 6.00.

It'd be better if it was a main bundle. The 2nd tier wouldn't be fixed, and there's a chance that it'd drop to around $3-4.. meaning I would have actually bought it.. oh, and 2nd week bonuses! It sucks as a weekly, for me at least.

yeah, you can make that same argument for any bundle though. i meant specifically for the quality of/my interest in the games involved

It looks much better at a glance than it actually is. I crossed out a few games below on principal. Everything but AP is missing DLC, and most regular CAGs own quite a few of these, substantially reducing the $/value.

$1+

  • Alpha Protocol (Flawed and Buggy, but okay $1 fodder level game)
  • Company of Heroes Humble THQ Bundle $1 level
  • Rome: Total War If you wanted this, you'd own it by now, and you'd want the missing DLC.
  • Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit (Decent platformer, I know a lot of people who already own it).
$6+

  • Typing of the Dead: OVERKILL (Headliner game)
  • Binary Domain (Decent TPS)
  • Medieval 2: Total War If you wanted this, you'd own it by now, and you'd want the missing DLC.
  • SEGA Genesis Collection A small haphazzard collection, no value to anyone who wants the Genesis Packs.
  • Renegade Ops (Fun twin-stick shooter, most people with a real interest already own it)
$15+

  • Total War: Shogun 2 This is normally $7.50 for the base on sale, here the asking price is $9 (incremental).

I could see why somebody would feel this way about the bundle...for me, though, the only game I owned was Alpha Protocol, and it wasn't on Steam. I had at least mild interest in all the other games save Hell Yeah, but I wasn't interested in them enough/hadn't hit my price point to buy them on their own (yet). Good enough bundle for me.

Exactly. The only reason this would appeal to anyone is if they were a fake CAG and passed/missed/were-jerking-off all the times you could have gotten these games for dirt cheap or in other bundles.

More soul sucky, less thread talky.

You missed the Humble THQ Bundle?!? There's not excuse for console peasants missing that one... and it was well publicized. Have you considered you'd be better off just snuffing it?

I know it was having issues earlier today... but is steam being stupid for anyone else right now?  I just lost my connection (sorry pasports) but my game I was downloading is still going.

Like wut?

Hardly. Some of those just weren't cheap enough yet.

  • Binary Domain hasn't quite hit a low enough price point. (And that may still be true even with this bundle.)
  • Typing of the Dead hasn't quite hit a low enough price point. (Again, that may still be true.)
  • Typing of the Dead has DLC so that might be best to wait for a complete version or Amazon bundle.
  • I keep skipping the Total War series hoping the Grandmaster Pack actually gets cheap.
(True, though, the rest are dupes for me.)
