Thanks. I was lazy and didn't post it all nice like you laid out because everything else to me was just eh, or had been that price before in the past or had crap DRM or some combination.

No prob. For the most part, I'm trying to keep my deal posts strictly informational, unless the deal is blatantly bad (which I probably won't post) or I have the time to check it with Enhanced Steam or ITAD. I'll usually leave the opinions of whether the deal is good or bad up to you pro CAGs.

Gamefly currently has Lego Marvel for 7.99 plus, presumably, that spring(?) coupon for 20% off. I don't know if i'd rather wait for amazon or not, since I already own the majority of the others.

Also I am kind of tempted to get Nascar at 50% off + 20% even though it's not the lowest price to date and I really don't want it because it was yanked from Steam.

I'm actually pretty close to biting on that. After discount, it costs $6.40. The Deadpool incident from last Christmas worries me, I keep thinking Disney will have this yanked at any moment because, you know. They're stupid.

A few of the earlier games didn't use the memory card because not everyone could afford one. Or maybe the programmers didn't quite understand them yet, heh. Some examples I can think of are Bubsy 3D, Pandemonium, and Skullmonkeys.

Oddly you can still buy the DLC for NASCAR 2013...

The Castro Theatre is one of the largest (largest?) theatres in SF, an elegant 1920s affair. (~1500 seats iirc), it's used for a lot of premieres and the sort... and it's on... Castro St, at the Market St* intersection.

*as the name implies, runs through the heart of downtown... the Fairy Ferry Building is at it's head.

Disney doesn't seem to have the most sense, at least as far as PC games go. Some of their games have PC versions that would actually sell if they bothered to put them on Steam.

Also this particular game is a really odd bit of licensing. WB is usually firmly in the DC camp so how they ended up doing Marvel is a bit of a mystery to me.

WB seems to have the license for the Lego stuff now. EA published the first Harry Potter title (Creator, not the games based on the movies), LucasArts published the Lucas-related stuff (Star Wars, Indiana Jones), Disney published Pirates of the Caribbean, and WB has gotten everything else (DC, Rock Band, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and of course, The Lego Movie.)

We're lucky WB is handling it, they're probably not gonna let the license lapse anytime soon since they've been doing pretty well with all the games (and the movie itself), but ... Disney's pretty psychotic when it comes to making money. They're the ones that keep taking their movies out of circulation for years at a time...

Edit: Maybe Disney won't publish their back catalog because they don't want to pay royalties? It would make sense.

True but I would have thought the big Disney ABC Marvel Lucas mega-conglomerate would have wanted to keep the Marvel lego separate like the Star Wars, Indie, PotC etc were.

Not that I'm complaining. WB at least now is definitely on board with Steam, though it took Microsoft dumping GFWL for that to fully occur. :roll:

Lego and Marvel / DC have had sets for quite a while now.

And... Disney surprisingly keeps their hands off Marvel. They don't really interfere with their business, they only own them. The only things they've messed with are the game licenses, everything else is up to Marvel itself.
