me too! :applause:

To contribute to the Portal discussion, I must admit I only got halfway through the first one myself. I very much enjoyed what I did play, but then the puzzles got too complex for me and I distracted myself with something else. Of course, I suck at games. That's why I have now sunk 160 hours into MPQ, where I can grind to the top while taking all the time I need to make poor strategic decisions.

$12.46 for all 5 Prince of Persia? :whistle2:k  Any technical issues on PC? I recall on the console HD edition they had to patch in 16:9.

Forgotten Sands Uplay version was totally freaking out on me with polygons flying all over the screen, I played less than an hour so not sure if it'd clear up later.

Does Steam have any same-screen, local competitive multiplayer games? Not co-op, I have an ass I need to kick, and want to do it in person. But yeah, same screen.

edit: besides the Worms series

Nidhogg, Battleblock Theater (beta signups going on now), Towerfall, Samurai Gunn, Super Puzzle Platformer Deluxe, Speedrunners

edit: This is actually what tags are good for. Local Multiplayer It's not a perfect list, but it's a good place to get started.

Oh beh, I actually got excited for a minute about Bonetown getting Greenlit. Then I read that the version they are releasing on Steam is toned down. So we aren't getting hentai, just ecchi.

Sands of Time needs a file from the demo to add controller support, and both it and Warrior Within require you use this program to add widescreen support. Some people seem to have issues with Two Thrones on Windows 7/8 and nVidia cards. For the record the older games are not the same as the PS3 remastered versions, just the PC ports from back when they originally launched (so don't expect them to look amazing). Prince of Persia (2008) and Forgotten Sands seem to be a good ports.

I love a good deal, but those first 3 are definitely no-buys. I knew that but I was still tempted, came to my senses now. I liked POP 2008 but I replayed it immediately for trophies and killed it, don't really wanna touch it ever again but for 2.49 and with steam dollars burning a hole in my wallet... I got Forgotten Sands free on uPlay but I already paid for it on PS3, I guess I'll pass on that one.

Sorry for rambling, thinking out loud.

Informative post such as this are my favorite kind here on CAG....next to the meme, youtube, hamburger, harvey dent, sarcastic, and "when the "insert sale name here" post. :)

A little research shows that the file (from the demo) is still present in the Steam version of the game, and can be edited to allow for controller, this thread here identifies the file and the button mappings for both a XBox 360 Controller and for mimicing a PS2 controller: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2001640

Be careful however, as the file is checksumed by the game, and if it doesn't match character count, and placement, the game will crash, details in the above thread.

Good, maybe people will shut the hell up about it now. I thought we were bad about obsessing over games being removed, but this whole Flappy Bird thing got unhip TV newcasters, grandmas and Time magazine talking about it. People who wouldn't know a mobile game if I smacked them upside the head with my cell phone (and it's a Note II so it's big) were talking about this damned thing. I bet there's like a remote tribe in a jungle somewhere going 'Uwantonga gawoola Fla-Pee Bird'.

The IndieGala Store has a few notable time-limited deals on several games.

Notable Steam deals include:

All games above are at their historical lows for individual sale (by a few pennies) according to ITAD.

For other IndieGala Store time limited deals, click here, though the rest of the selection is not so great.

Just a word of warning as someone who has played this in local MP, you're going to be doing a lot of "shut your eyes/turn your back/get the freaking hell away from the screen and let me play" if you attempt to do so, since keeping your cards secret is a huge part of the game and there wasn't really any way for the developers to get around this so you have to improvise and force the people you're playing with not to cheat and look at your cards during your turn (and vice-verses for them).

If you want to play it locally an actual board game version is the way to go; the digital version is best played online.

I'd imagine passing around a laptop...

True. It makes your threats to flip the board if that asshole steals the New York to Boston link much more meaningful.

"Don't look at my cards, guys."
