Switch to a 5Ghz router/receiver setup. I have an Asus N66r (dual band). The 5 gig band is better for penetration of walls/obstacles (combined with it's beam forming tech). The 2.5 gig band is still nothing to count out though, I can pick up literally at the end of my street. I had a NetGear gigbyte router before this that sucked. The new router has 3 external antenna, the Netgear did not.

About to play Diablo III with Motoki....
Isn't having a signal range that wide a bad thing? Leaves your network more vulnerable, I would think.

Have fun "playing D3" you two. Don't they make such a cute couple?

What is that? A game?
An upcoming bundle scrap.

Normally, if you don't know how to properly secure a network, yes. I have my Network+, Security+ from ComTIA, and am going for my CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) soon, update the firmware religiously, not running sub par WEP encrytion (like an alarming number off the shelf routers still do). I think my network is more secure than the vast majority, and then even after getting past the hardware level, the systems themselves have their own independent security for authentication.

I promised myself (and everyone else) I wouldn't say anything else about this, but here goes: yes. Contrary to Idiot's comments, Portal actually relies quite a bit not just on being able to figure out what you're supposed to do, which isn't always easy, but also on timing jumps and sometimes precisely positioning your endpoints in a short period of time. This is the very definition of relying on luck and reflexes. I don't get motion sickness, but I can get easily aggravated by stupid platformer mechanics (you saw nozink, Squirrel, nozink!).

Your definition of luck and reflexes is just silly. Yes, it takes a bit of practice and skill to complete a couple acrobatic puzzles, but there's no "luck" going on there. Unless of course you just really, really suck at all platformers and have to do things over and over again hoping you'll accidentally complete it.

Then again, this is coming from the guy who said he never played a Mario game... So I don't really know where I'm going with this.

Portal is one of the most overrated series in gaming.
Mooby is one of the most overrated posters on CAG.

Router is probably upstairs and the PC is in the basement. I hear wood paneling on walls can dampen wifi signals and cause a serious drop on download speeds.

Battleblock theater is another game by those guys who did Castle Crashers who herped and derped for three+ years refusing to port to PC.  No idea why CC was so hyped as when I finally got around to playing it, it was just a bland Golden Axe clone.  Can't believe people sunk hundreds of hours into to unlock costumes.

*film scene, guy with glasses banging away loudly at keyboard* "Whoa, this guy's got three levels of encryption! It's going to take - I'M IN." *one click of the SPACEBAR and the world's most unlikely GUI appears with giant buttons to compromise only exactly what's needed*

Wow, colour me impressed. I didn't mean to insult your credentials/imply you were stupid or anything, it was a sincere question. My network security is as flimsy as those locks sold with little girl's diaries compared to that. (Not that I have any experience breaking into little girl's diaries...)

To be fair, it was 360-exclusive for two years (Alien Hominid HD is STILL 360-exclusive) because it was published by Microsoft Game Studios, before getting a port to the PS3. As for why the PC port took two extra years? No clue, lack of familiarity? (All their games had been console-only up until that point). Be grateful, at least you're getting a port of Battleblock at all, unlike the PS3, and it's within a year of release.

Funniest post I've read all day, well done.

You won't stand a chance against the mad skills I've developed playing:

Fallout 3 has taught me all I need to know about computer hacking. As long as you  turn off the computer before using your last try, you get all your attempts back and can try again.

Super simple stuff, people.

Pshaw, I have 13 years of experience from hacking videogames, you got nothing on me.
Yeah, I wouldn't go up against Fox in a hacker battle. Fox loves to hack so much it's in his name!

Nevermind the fact that Fox is a drug trafficker who'd probably have you killed by his Russian contact.

You forgot to provide screen shots from each.

Not yet... They have to get 200 homes in the neighborhood to sign up or they won't enter the area.

Now there is good news... Does anyone truly like their cable provider? But there is also bad news as you have to sign up for a two year contract. (120 a month with TV or 70 for internet alone... They also have a 300 dollars for 7 years of internet but at 5 down/1 up speeds.)

The website says my area is still 50+ away from making it happen.

Edit: I got my first game in February done! Diablo III. I cannot really comment too much on pre 2.0 loot patch but I can say the game seems to be in a really good place now. I've truly enjoyed my time with it.

I got it to load just after he posted the links. Worked perfectly. First time I've loaded up their site in a long time.
Seems my computer is blocking it for some reason… in both in mac os and windows 7 under bootcamp, regardless of browser choice. Site worked fine at my school computer.
