Say a silly, misspelled "racial slur" in a friendly fashion to Mind Link one time, and get the wrath of the PMS exaggerating Fox for all of eternity.

Elephants never forget? Move over, the fox is the new king of grudges memory.
That's actually not the only one, but I guess you easily forget all the immature, not funny Steam chat "jokes" you make.

Look, I'm not the elephant and I'm not the one bringing this up over and over. I posted my piece in the Amazon thread and moved on. You're the one who seems to have an obsession with making jokes and calling out my name a few times since in this thread because it's just so hilarious I recognize deep social issues affecting the world today. I know you're M.O. and I know the type of immature, entitled kid you are. You joking around about it doesn't change the issues out there and I don't really care to get into a discussion about it with you.

Now you can keep making jokes and calling me out all you want with the hopes of goading me into responding. You can also believe what you want, it's a free world, just don't get your panties in a bunch. I'm only referring to things you do, so if you don't like being called a racist then maybe stop saying racist shit and then trying to hide behind the "it was a joke" defense.

This is from the newer run in the '90s (the one I grew up with). The original series was in the '60s.

I figured it was a better, less "creepy" nickname than Mr. Professor Ninja Squirrel Layton. Also, it's alliteration!

Also, :bouncy: is even more obnoxious than MysterD's ;)

Just sayin'.

So I finally finished The Walking Dead this weekend.  Despite loving the game and putting 30 hours into it, I actually hadn't played Episode 5.  I could blame all the computer issues and lost saves, but I'm sure deep down inside I just didn't want to see it end.  Game was fantastic for what it was.

I also played the 400 Days DLC and love, love, love it.  Without spoiling anything, 400 Days is like taking the full game and shrinking it to 5 episodes that each take 15 to 20 minutes to complete.  Each episode has some different endings, sequences to play through and at the end you play the epilogue that shows you the result of your choices through each episode.  It allowed me to do what I really couldn't in the main game, which is replay things over and over seeing how each choice changes things.  For the most part the main ending is going to be essentially the same and most of the changes within each episode are just dialogue related, but the different endings with each little episode are great to explore.  So if you liked the idea of playing through the main game over and over to see the result of your choices, 400 Days allows you to do it without sinking as much time into it.

It's also mostly, but not completely, unrelated to the main game.  It could potentially spoil one big thing in Episode 5 of the main game, so take that into account if you haven't finished it.

you're just now getting around to playing a zombie game which was one of the most highly acclaimed games of 2012?

Are you okay?

That's because 400 Days in the lead-in for Season 2. Unrelated to Season 1, but absolutely connected to Season 2.

Yup. It was originally a full-length show in the 60s. Here's an episode:

What can I say? I'm dedicated to my craft. Credit goes to Ashes for inspiring me.

Also, someone tell me I'm not alone in remembering Secret Squirrel so I stop feeling old.
Is it true that people like you fart dust?

Also, only in Houston

wonder if I can simulate this on Euro Truck Simulator.

I should clarify, I pre-ordered and played each episode as it came out up to Episode 5. Since then I'd been putting it off and having different computer issues and lost saves. I've played it all the way through episode 4 around 4-5 different times, I had just never finished Episode 5 or played the DLC.

I will say I haven't bought or played Season 2 yet. Waiting for it to be finished so I can just play it at once.

Are any of The Bureau: XCOM Declassified's DLC worth the current sale price?

I'm going to assume the answer is "no", but I thought I'd ask the question anyway.

makes sense...it otherwise seemed a bit unfoxlike

I've... I've actually seen that before, though I'd somehow managed to completely forget it existed.

I guess the 90s Secret Squirrel resonated more with me.
It's okay. I forgot about it too until I looked up a video of the 90s one on YouTube so I could post it, and saw the 60s one in the search results.. just now. So you're definitely not alone in feeling that way.

Eh, only Tiny Tina was worth it to me (surprisingly the only one not outsourced). You're right that their BL2 DLC by itself doesn't make them worse than certain other developers, but there are many, many other reasons to call Gearbox the worst. But I feel bad for SecretSquirrel since he had the pleasure of reading my feelings about Gearbox in the Xbox thread, so I won't repeat myself in here.
Yeah, I know... A:CM was a real mess. They've got no excuse for that. I like a lot of the other stuff they've done though. I'll be first in line for Borderlands 3, for sure.

"don't get your panties in a bunch"

So much irony in that phrase there. Not once this entire time did I have my "panties in a bunch". I made a few jokes in this thread, that were not racist in the slightest (which I'm sure you'll find a way to tell me otherwise). I was trying to make light of things ffs, because lately it's not only me you argue with, you've been an insufferable, argumentative, and rude on these forums lately, and I know I'm not the only one who's noticed it. You turn every light discussion into arguments where you act like you know better (even clearly stating such if anyone tells you otherwise, in some cases), and like to take this moral high road where you're clearly in the right and oh-so-offended by a bunch of people who are just dicking around on a gaming forum and have no ill will towards each other or anyone. It's bullshit.

The only one with their panties in a bunch, dredging up the past which I very clearly apologized for, even when an apology was NOT necessary, is you. The entire issue spawned from me using that word in a completely friendly, silly fashion, towards a friend. We were friends at the time, and what did you do? You didn't even voice your uncomfortableness with me using the word. You REPORTED me immediately, behind my back, and then came to me complaining about it over a month later, not to mention you threw me under the bus publicly while I was silenced for another reason. Some friend.

Any "jokes" made in the Steam chat weren't even jokes. You came to me all that time later with your complaints, and then proceeded to get pissed off because I simply referred to the word when we were discussing what it was you were mad about. Of course nothing ever came of your little report, because I never did anything wrong. I'm quite sorry if I offended you that deeply, but in addition to needing thicker skin, you need to give your friends the benefit of the doubt and not stab them in the back, like you tried to do. That's utter nonsense, and not in the friendly spirit of CAG.

I had no intention of dredging this shit up to be public, but I'm really tired of your attitude and continued little comments about something that is so dead and in the past. I blocked you because of your nonsense, and I unblocked you because I thought enough time had passed for you to move on, but clearly that's not the case, which is sad because I considered you a good friend here. Time had passed and I moved on, and unspokenly forgave you for what you did back then, because I still valued our friendship and figured you were adult enough to let bygones be bygones, and we're right back to square one. If you're going to sit here and call me entitled and immature, though, I'm not just going to sit silently and take the shit you're dishing out. I'm going to speak things for exactly how they are.

I'm not racist in the slightest. I'm utterly against racism and I hate it. I've been the victim of racial preference and even have lost a job over it. I don't care what race anyone is, sexual preference, anything. That's total bullshit, and your elitist stance towards me being some young dumb kid who doesn't care about very real issues, seemingly blind to things, is getting on my nerves and needs to be addressed. Yes, we're on the internet and people, especially me, do not sit down and turn everything into some serious, in depth debate about how the world should be. You and everyone on this site knows I'm a clown on here most of the time, and if that makes me "immature", I will gladly accept that moniker. I'd rather be "immature" than be rude, holding grudges, and cruel towards people I consider friends.

I'm sure you'll come back at this with more reasons why I'm 100% wrong and your word is infallible, but we're just asking for a thread nuke if that goes on. I've said my piece, do as you will.

I bought the hangar 6 DLC. It adds nothing new to the formula so, unless you like what you've played, it's not worth it. It's a series of fights against increasingly harder enemies and is a decent challenge. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I would pay the $2 it's on sale for but I enjoyed the base game (storyline aside). Just don't expect it to really add anything at all that you haven't already done.

Just like you to always blame someone else for what happens to you. I did PM on Steam before reporting you telling you it wasn't cool and asking if you could remove. In typical Idiot fashion, you said it was just a joke and you didn't spell it with er and to lighten up and dismissed me, so then I blocked you and reported it so you can stop trying to play the victim. And you did get banned for it, for the millionth time, and you did what you do every time you get banned, which is PM people on Steam asking them to send a letter to CheapyD on your behalf to demand justice because of the horrible mods.

So if you really think I'm an insufferable asshole, you know where the report button is and the mods can deal with me as they see fit, but I'm not the one who has been banned from here multiple times.

I think we've done enough to fill this thread with personal bullshit, but our inboxes have unlimited messages so if you still need to vent some more, hit me up.

I'm still catching up with overnight thread reading, but I'd like to add that :bouncy: is quite possibly the worst thing ever to happen to the internet.

p.s. MNS' secret is that thing he did that time with you know what. And the ferret.

Completely, utterly, not what happened. It would be one thing if you were confused about what happened, but you clearly know what happened, because you were there and know the timeline of events. The post you reported occurred over a month before the thread nukes by Trakan, the vocal criticizing of Trakan's actions by myself, Mind Link, and a few others, which led to him deleting our comments and silencing us (completely unrelated to what happened a month earlier). It was only after this happened that you decided to come to me about what I said a month prior, at which point I was surprised initially by how you came to me about it and thought you were joking yourself. I didn't dismiss you, and I even said I wouldn't use the word again, but in doing so I had referred to the word, and you attacked me for doing that, pissed me off, and then I blocked you (funny how you even spin it saying you blocked me first, since that's not what happened, I had your last few messages to me after I blocked you that slipped in through the web client chat after I blocked you).

Being an asshole isn't against the rules, and I don't report people who I consider, or considered, friends. I don't report anyone really, because I'm just not that kind of person.

I'd love to end this little discussion of ours, but as long as you are sitting here telling outright lies about me in public, I will address them with the truth of the matter.

I'm really, really surprised that this is the kind of person you are. I misjudged you so much.

The wife is banned from watching Jeremy Kyle while I'm at home because it makes me want to throw stuff at the telly. There's a certain irony to me idling away my Monday morning at work by reading this thread instead.

...

I need I stop procrastinating and dictate some bloody file notes.

P.s. When you lot go to bed can you let me know? I want to canvas some opinions on Paper Dungeons. I suspect it's a shallow, cheap knock-off of Desktop Dungeons but I need some validation.

It seems very trial-and-errory without a great deal of strategy but I must admit I've only put an hour or so into it.

(Paper Dungeons was in Groupees Build A Greenlight Bundle 5 and if you didn't buy it you only have yourselves to blame.)

Snip again.
I mean I know why you're lying confused about the sequence of events, but I'm definitely not lying and there was no months in between. Here's my original post:

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/317429-the-steam-deals-cards-thread-v9-torchlight-ii-weekend/page-11#entry10940014

Where I stated the same thing I did today and you can read back a few pages where there's more talk about the recent thread nuke and you and Mind Link getting silenced. You can even read forward to see some people quoted me so I'll save you the "you edited your post" accusation that was formulating in your head. So hopefully now that any claims of me lying have been settled, can you move it to PM? This'll be my last addressing this whole thing, but no one's ever had to tell you that you're free to keep posting whatever you want.

That's exactly how I'd describe it as, though I haven't played DD so I can't compare it to it. I've also played about an hour, and so far it just feels like I'm clicking to the enemy that's the same or lower level than I, clicking to roll dice and randomly attack, then rinsing and repeating it until I get through a dungeon or die because enemies spawned in a bad order.

I'm not really enjoying it or feeling as if I have any real control over what happens. Everything is random to a fault, and the lack of depth makes it even more dull for me. Probably won't be playing longer than it takes me to get the cards.

That is indeed the post I was referring to when I mentioned you "throwing me under the bus", and that is the first time you publicly said "I reported Idiot", but the report came in prior to your post even by both ours counts, so it doesn't "prove" anything, nor do I have a reason to deny anything about that post (I already mentioned it, even). As I said before, the "slur" you refer to in that post happened far prior to the thread nukes, the silencing of Mind Link and I, and the post you quoted. Even if you were speaking the truth here, your story doesn't add up. If it was your report of my post that resulted in the thread nukes, then I would have been silenced or warned (although that doesn't really happen here) along with those post deletions. Instead, my silence came days after the thread nukes along with Mind Link for different reasons entirely, which I confirmed with Cheapy once he finally got back to me about the situation later on. You clearly told me in our Steam chat, prior to me blocking you, that you reported me when I posted that, before coming to me about it. That's one of the main reasons I was upset with you and honestly hurt, because I would have never expected that from you.

But no, there weren't "months in between", and I haven't said there were. My post happened, a while later on, the religious debate happened (which I wasn't even a part of), then the thread nukes happened after that. Between my post (which was not connected to the religious debates in any shape or form), there were weeks to over a month breaking them up. Realistically, the amount of time doesn't matter greatly, because the events weren't linked in the first place, but since you seem to find some pleasure in "getting me in trouble" with your report, that actually fell on deaf ears or was ignored due to no real basis, we have this nonsense going on.

Really, if this is just going to be he said she said, I don't know what the point is. I don't care about being right or wrong about internet arguments, but you came out and are blatantly twisting things to defame my character, and that is really, really not cool with me, and uncalled for on this forum. At this point everyone has heard two sides of the story and can make their own internal decisions about who's lying and who isn't. This is utterly ridiculous.

I'm going to work, then back to the shallowness of FC3. Someone notify me when the Steam/Amazon threads are back to their normal OT behavior.

Someone talk about multiple DRM layers, the quality of wood paneling for basement use or Lost Planet while I'm gone.

I TRIED ALREADY

NOBODY* WANTS TO TALK ABOUT PAPER DUNGEONS

* 'cept MNS.

Diablo III is turning out to be really good at the moment, mind.
True Confessions:

I have never played a Diablo game.

Also: I finished Dark Souls 2 last night. It's definitely really good, and they didn't tone down the difficulty as some were worried about when they talked about making it "more accessible." There were a few changes I really didn't like, but not enough to ruin the game for me, by any means. I briefly played a few minutes in NG+, and a really cool thing it looks like they did was that it's not just harder now, new enemies are added, so it really contributes to a new experience. Also - Bruticis was worried about the torch mechanic and how the changed lighting affects it. I played the game as dark as the in game settings allowed for. Obviously, the vast majority of the game didn't require a torch, but there were a few levels where if you didn't have one it was nearly pitch black, so the mechanic did come into play there.

So I take it that deal for Day of Defeat for $1 with all the other games is no longer active?
