Finally.

Time to play through the first one again for the umpteenth time for the save data transfer on the PS3 (the first one is a major chore, though. I always end up using the elf dude just for the ability to run.) Now we just need the third game as a PS2 classic to complete the save transferring chain.

PS: Of course then we'll find out it doesn't work on the Vita making the entire thing useless to me other than saving me from having to grab the disc to play it.

Don't worry, I won't buy them. I don't think everything I've bought on PS3 should be free on PS4 if it get's rereleased, but I think a discount is definitely fair and not too ridiculous an expectation in most cases. What stings most is that they offered the a discount on season 1 for people who owned it on PS3 and then abandoned that approach. And whether you like Zen pinball or not the fact remains that they are competition to this game/studio and they are much more consumer friendly.

That's basically it. A lot of people complained over the weekend about spryo/crash, too, so perhaps someone read that and was like 'oh shit, they aren't?' [push button].

It's doubtful it's emulator related since I hear hacked vitas played some of the affected games fine previously.

Another 'possibility' I've heard is that sony got pubs to sign some new psnow contract that essentially 'fixed' whatever issue existed with previous digital licensing. [this is completely theoretical, no one knows].

And of course, it could just be a glitch during maintenance and they weren't supposed to go live at all.

There's currently two schools of thought -- (1) oh crap, it's a glitch, buy everything now and get it on your vita before they fix it, and (2) it's legit! they're gonna have a celebratory sale, wait for a price drop!

I fear it's a glitch, but the fact that they may have gotten the big companies to sign a psnow contract recently gives me hope. And of course, as jay mentioned lawyers could have just decided that whatever the existing contract said was 'good enough'.

Farsight is far from perfect. I wouldn't disagree. But to me the fact that Zen is more consumer friendly is irrelevant. Farsight is simulating real pinball machines and they do a pretty good job of it. That's what I want. Until somebody else starts doing the same thing and does it better, there is no other option.

 
There was talk awhile back that PS1, PS2 emulation would come to the PS4 at some point right? Maybe the Vita unlock has something to do with that and Playstation Now. So they could say listen dickwads play your fuck ing game anywhere even if it's old as shit dirtbag. Sony's new strategy is GAMES GAMES GAMES every fuck ing where GAMES. I'm 100% ok with this. It's actually a reverse slap face for buying all the Spyro and Crash games.

Damn straight it is. The first season was as close to a Punisher series as we've ever had. Better in most respects than the three movies we did get. This season has been fantastic too... just in a more computer nerd way. It seems strange to me to enjoy some CBS dramas, but this truly deserves props as does Elementary. Over on the CW I can't praise Arrow enough. Prior to that, Nikita was a solid and I'm far from the typical CW demographic. Sometimes the regular networks have some great shows. Brooklyn Nine-Nine over on Fox for instance :D/... if I let network snobbery get in the way I'd have missed some awesome entertainment.

I completely agree, however it seemed like he was complaining that I pointed out that the free game of the week was now available.

Look, what i'm saying is: If one person on here has a problem with someone else being the first to let everyone know that the PS+ free game of the week is live (in the PSN thread of all places), that person can go fuck themselves. They can go fuck themselves with a cactus. :)

Actually I kind of like the Mass Effect series. Here are my reviews:

Mass Effect: Shitty. Inventory system ruins the whole thing.

Mass Effect 2: Awesome.

Mass Effect 2.5 3: Not a lot of changes from 2, which is a good thing. Plus the MP was cool.

 
For some odd reason, you can preorder Cod Ghosts Devestation dlc and it says day 1 digital on it, ummm ok? Its not even a game, its just dlc -_-

 
So far I like Demon Gaze.  Not sure what some of the reviews are saying.. the world is FAR more detailed for the FPV than Etrian Odyssey IV.  Nice visuals so far but I enjoy the ability to chose your avatar/classes.  (minus the main character is always a guy... with female avatars possible)  But my all female team (minus my Male m/c) is very... bouncy.

Suh-weet the Disgaea stuff was added.  I looked earlier and it wasn't.  Yayay!

This is pretty much my thoughts. It took me years to get around to playing part 2 and 3 because of the shitty impression I got from the first. I think you're the only person that I've ever seen agree with me on this.

 
Did you guys play Mass Effect before Mass Effect 2?  Five (six?) years ago when I played it I thought it was the greatest thing ever, but I can see how the improvements in ME2 could sour someone on it.  It's still on my list to replay over here on the good ol' PS of 3.

If you have a PS4/XB1, wait until E3--there's rumors that BioWare will announce a complete trilogy set for both systems that will include all DLCs.

 
Couldn't find this, but do they announce which games will be free with PS+ ahead of time or pretty much when they do the monthly update?

What's the likelihood of Octodad being free on PS4 in May?
