I still like ME1 better than the sequels too.  Yeah ME2 and ME3 made graphical improvements and the ME1 inventory system was awful but I think its graphics for back then were pretty good and it still has one of the best ending sequences in gaming history.  Plus, a lot of the side stuff can be easily ignored if you dont like the Mako or the reuse of planet layouts.

also, i know this isnt a ps game, and no trophies, but anyone ever play cardhunter? it's kinda cute fun computer board game like dungeons and dragons. it has been keeping me busy last few days of work. :)

Seems retardedly easy to 100%, too. For some reason I thought there was a story mode or something instead of just exhibition shit.

 
I've got ME trilogy on Origin. The elevator holds are ridiculous; I've got an SSD and not a single game I have gives me load times, so it's crazy annoying to have to sit through that crap. Maybe there's a mod to fix that--I'll have to check. I started playing the first game. They did clean up the inventory a lot and there's no problems with it on PC, but didn't like the soldier class at all and gave up after a few hours, basically right after freeing the scientists from the Thorian. I need to go back and give it another try. I'll do Adept, I think. The beginning of the game is just so dialogue-heavy, though, that it's hard for me to get into. I very much have a preference for running around killing shit.

Then you'll like the second and third game better, it basically turns into a cover shooter with RPG lite.

I understand where you come from. Four hours in to FFX HD and it reminds you constantly that it belongs to a bygone era. Still a great game.

I haven't played FFX yet. Right now I'm playing FFIX and it is horrendous about that, though; I'm at level 10 in Lindblum but it feels like there's been barely any combat so far even though I'm near the end of the first disc (of three.) I have trouble believing I'm about a third of the way through the game because hardly anything has happened so far. I checked a guide and it had the recommended level for the end boss as being 64. I'm hoping that means the combat is about to ramp up quite abit.

 
I love FFX so much, but I'm sick of the cutscenes. I know it's been brought up a million times already, but I just want to skip. I can't wait until I'm at the end of the game and can grind out sphere grid levels without running into a 10 minute scene every 5 steps.
 
Anyone playing Destiny Spirits? Really hooked on this game and it's driving me nuts that the servers have been down all day. Do we have a CAG group for this game?

To each his own. I'm a sucker for just about anything for the Vita and something about this game hooked me. I think it's the use of real world distances. I travel ~64 miles to and from work each day so I've gotten a pretty decent boost just bringing my Vita.

I didn't even know that Destiny of Spirits thing came out.  Remember it was a pretty big deal at E3 or something and then they never talked about it again.  Had to Google to find out what you were even talking about.

That sucks no story mode. I saw where it said it had three modes, so how are they different?

I wish Riddler could have been a bigger part of the Arkham series, beyond just being used for pointless collectibles.

I feel like it's really stupid that Joker was the main villain for all three games. Spread the love a little more.

They make him out to be dumber than he really is. He's the most logical villain to have gotten main billing.

It's really hard to say anything more. My brother said it looked like "some guy's Digipen project", and it looks like a PS1 game in HD. But now that I'm getting the hang of the gameplay, I don't feel like stopping.

I'm not paying anything to play it anyway, so I might as well stick with it.

They like things not because they ACTUALLY like the thing, but because it is trendy to like said thing (or not like said thing). A fan would say they like Breaking Bad because they watch it and enjoy it, a hipster would wear a Heisenberg T-shirt and never have seen the show. I could see that, especially with Secret Ponchos being delayed out til fall. They've announced that Stick it to the Man isn't going to be cross-buy and "We'll be releasing pricing & promotional discount details closer to launch.".

Kinda related, but I didn't realize Secret Ponchos was an MP battle arena game. That's lame, don't really care about it anymore.

I'm glad to hear that everything checked out, and that both she and the baby are doing well. Pre-eclampsia is more common than people think and it's a very scary condition. You were right to be concerned and got that looked at, Velo. Good job!

 
I'm one of the 'idiots' that master prestiges and spends way too much time on every call of duty.

Now im stuck in a diamond division clan and it's like I have to play at least 2 hours a day to train and then fri/sat/sun nights for clan wars. Gotta win 1 more for all gold warcry camos on guns/helmet/armor

It is totally killing my trophy acquisition.

Good Job on knocking me out of the top 3. At least I'm buds with people going for 2/3/4/5, so I know it's a friendly competition and we don't play the same game different region 3 times. poke 1st

also as a 3rd name we are thinking Illyria Triceratops(along with lucyliu rainbow or liliwyn sky (sp?)), but that may just be too wonky. Last two were Link Dragon and Lux Aeterna ;)

I've said here before, but i'll say it again - match the lowest appropriate price, don't beat it. If you beat the lowest price, it can set off the auto-price checkers of all the big sellers and it starts a price war. If you just match, you'll both get your asking price. If there is one price way lower than all the rest, match the second lowest -- that cheap one will sell quickly and you'll get your higher asking price.

People should just play ME2 and be done with it. ME had some nice elements (more 'rpg'y in some ways) but ME2 was all around better. ME3 was... ME3.

I got super addicted to card hunter last month. It's a great game. For those who haven't played it, it's sort of a card battle game mixed with tabletop d&d. Each piece of equipment you wear comes with a set of cards, which cumulatively make up each characters deck (you generally have 3 chars). Every turn you get at least one movement card and then a number of cards from your deck. This creates a highly tactical game. I beat the SP then got addicted to the MP. And now I'm back to avoiding playing games on my computer, because i find it harder to get shit done (it's easy to put aside the vita, but hard to put away a pc when you need it for everything else).

I wish games like cardhunter and true roguelikes would end up on vita.

Can't believe I'm saying this 10 years later, but FFX-2 has really aged much better than X, especially with the International content.

Whoever called Stick it to the Man a few pages back, well played. This would be an awesome lineup (except Payday 2 which may or may not be awesome, I dunno) - I think everyone that has a vita should have Hot Shots Golf, it's really excellent. I really hope they're working on another one or a revival of Hot Shots Tennis. Everything else is stuff that I'd play for sure, so here's hoping the US lineup looks similar.

I dont know if i would like a similar lineup in the US or not. I dont care about any of those new games so I wouldnt DL any of them. But that might be good so I can get through more back log and get on to PS4 sometime this year.

 
Puppeteer is hands down one of the best titles on PS3, in my top 3. This game is criminally overlooked. Fantastic graphics, outstanding storytelling, innovative gameplay and best of all perfect to play in coop with your gf that is not as good in video games.

It is truly a shame this game did not sell better, I hope it finds a larger audience through PS+ and will at least gain the recognition it deserves.
