My favorite gamestop rep, Bob, just personally hand delivered this official, wax sealed letter. It's for my eyes only.

Hello PC Downloads Customers!

We're writing to you today because there are big changes coming to GameStop's PC Gaming area. We've heard your feedback over the past year and in order to serve you better, we are simplifying the digital PC game purchasing and redemption process.

Starting April 24, 2014, when visiting ImpulseDriven.com, you'll be redirected to GameStop.com. In addition, the GameStop PC Downloads App will be simplified down to a pure download and game library manager. From that point on, it will no longer be a requirement for you to download the PC Downloads App when making new purchases. But don't worry! We're still holding onto all of those past purchases that you made prior to 4/24/14. So when you want to download and play any of those games where we supplied the game files instead of Steam, Origin, or any of our other great partners, the updated version of the PC Downloads App will be there to do just that.

One last thing: Be sure to stay tuned to GameStop.com/PCGames and your local GameStop stores in the coming days and weeks! We're going to continue remodeling our new home to better serve you, and that includes serving up some of the best deals that PC gaming has ever seen!

Thank you for your loyalty and all of your fantastic feedback!

Sincerely,
The GameStop PC Digital Team

My local GameStop is awesome if you're in the market for Sims 2 expansion packs.

If I was on the Iggy list - why the heck do you keep responding to my posts? ;)

Iggy as in Ignore, not Iggy Azalea.
FFS PEOPLE, you ARE NOT on a damn ignore list. I have millions of lists, I like to categorize everything and everyone. Now I'm adding you to the HOLY SHIT DO I REALLY HAVE TO EXPLAIN TO THIS GUY I'M NOT SERIOUS EVERY TIME list.

These lists of yours sound more OCD than the way I force games to install wherever I want them to go, all arranged by client-service or where I purchased them. ;)

What's more difficult for you - Dark Souls 2 game or the controller fiasco?

Have both drove you to the point to swear, curse, and throw your controller?
Considering it took me 10 minutes to find the
A.png
button on my keyboard, definitely gonna say the controller fiasco.

Bought Blackgate. Having fun so far but why is it that batman thinks he has to collapse a floor when he could have easily gone down a very obvious ladder one foot behind the hole he made?

Edit: So you can see what I mean.

Wayne Enterprises makes most of their money through construction and companies that supply materials.

I'm not having any problems with DS II detecting the controller, but apparently the game crashes if your monitor is connected by HDMI? This is silly, I can get it to work by unplugging the HDMI, running the game (ie by hitting Enter on the keyboard) and then plug it back in, but even then it only lets me select a max resolution of 1600 x 900. Jesus H, From Soft, you had one job!

The controller issue has been around in dozens of crappy PC ports. The game basically checks your HID in device manager and thinks the very first HID complaint game controller simply must be your 360 pad because who the hell would ever have multiple USB devices that emulate a joypad (like a Logitech G13). While it's not really a direct fault of DS2 specially, they should have added a controller selector to the options.

Spice Road is on Steam now, it has a weird redemption method. You need to go here to convert your game key (NOT desura key) into a steam key:

http://www.aartformgames.com/spiceroad/steam-key-convert.php

If you got it from Indie Royale (Debut 11), I think the in-game key should be listed on your IR page. If you got it from Groupees (Build a Greenlight 5).. you need to download the game from the desura client and run it to get the key.
Thanks for the heads up. Just a fyi, you don't need to wait for the game to finish downloading. You can start the installation, right click on the game and choose view cd key, redeem it and after that you can cancel the installation :D/

Yeah, looks like that Adventure Bundle is GOG if not DRM-free.

Also, only 2 bonuses on the new Clash bundle? Lame. First bonus is Song of the Myrne: What Lies Beneath. A game, surprisingly.

It's on Desura, so I assume we're getting a Desura key. http://www.desura.com/games/what-lies-beneath

It's also on Greenlight here -> http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=231926130

I really hope the second bonus is a game too..

Is Where Angels Cry worth a dollar? That's the only one I don't have... so that plus some music and whatever the bonuses are doesn't sound like the worst thing in the world... unless the game is horrible.

Looks good; haven't played it. I'm no help but I got in an IR.

Hey regarding that VODO Otherworlds bundle, I got an email the other day where it looks like they're encouraging people to torrent the 1st tier for free (http://vodo.us4.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=57454ff62bc0cebc3feda4816&id=fe5b949bd6&e=b4cd29239a); I'm assuming this doesn't come with a bientôt l'été Steam key. If you want the second or third tiers, you can get a 15% "pirate discount" by going to this link:http://vodo.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=57454ff62bc0cebc3feda4816&id=1312c4bbd2&e=b4cd29239a). I find this method of marketing bundles really confusing, especially because it appears this email was sent to purchasers of the bundle.

So the paranormal state devs offer the game for free for greenlight votes

Come up with some excuse about how hard it is to issue the keys to people

The sell it in a indie gala bundle before issuing the keys to people who voted.

Nice

I offered to help them distribute the keys for free but they haven't got back to me yet.

Don't worry, they've got this ;)
