I know the Sony ban is my fault. I guess I never thought it through and realized Sony might be charged a fee for the charge back.

Figured it would just be a simple refund.

I mean, I'm more than happy to give Sony my $, I just wanted to pay for a year instead of 3 months.

As a digital hoarder who has hundreds of games downloaded across my PS3/Vita/3DS and ever even started two or three of them I have to say that I think you have a problem.

Not that I'm one to talk when I keep buying games and haven't even downloaded any of them to a system in several months. They're all full of unplayed games that I'll get to one day...
It's actually not that bad - it sounds like you have it way worse. With the exception of the rare arcade game like TxK or Luftrausers that I buy day 1 to support the devs, I usually wait for big sales. I've had ps+ since the beginning though, so it's pretty easy to fill a 64 gig card (surprisingly easy, really). Plus I stock up on psn credit on the cheap. And I don't buy lots of sneakers.

I like having my FF folder full of my related games. I like to have my Dept. Heaven folder full of all my sting games. There's the RPG and then the SRPG folder. Etc. It all adds up very fast. I'm reluctantly okay with deleting games I've finished/plat'd... but even then I wish I didn't have to.

I want all my games visually listed. Heck, just fixing the download list would be a huge step towards that. But as it is, deleting games feels like throwing them out, because I know I'll never, ever go back to redownload it. I won't even remember I have it, most likely.

If we're going to be part of this 'digital future', is it really so much to ask for decent organization/display/searching of our libraries?

I know the Sony ban is my fault. I guess I never thought it through and realized Sony might be charged a fee for the charge back.

Figured it would just be a simple refund.

I mean, I'm more than happy to give Sony my $, I just wanted to pay for a year instead of 3 months.
Holy crap. Maturity on the

This just in, affa doesn't buy shoes for his feet. Add it to the list!

I do agree though that they need to make it sortable or for table or something at the very minimum. At least you can redone load stuff by going to it in the store now which is an improvement if you know what you're looking for.

Ya done fuck ed up son.

While it looks like butt and controls like an early gen PS1 title before everyone settled on standard controls, Vagrant Story is still pretty neat. I really need to read the manual tomorrow though because I have zero idea what was going on or how to control the game.

Nicki Minaj butt or white girl brick wall butt?

Well, I unno what happened here but I'm guessing the ban wasn't from this thread.

Just got back from a packed as hell 11:30 PM showing of ASM2. A whopping 9 people in the whole theater.

EDIT: fuck, man. Why aren't people up so late? Skype's dead, PSN is dead, no new posts on any forums. fuck it. I'm going to bed.

Because people have lives?

Demon's Souls is interesting. I died a few times in 1-1 against the red-eyed knight and finally just decided to quit going that way. Just got the cling ring. At this point up until the cling ring I'm only dying if I get completely taken by surprise (like one of those assholes with a torch hit some barrels we were standing in and blew me up.) Looking forward to beating the level so I can start leveling up. Not sure how much difference leveling makes in the game but right now I feel like dying mostly means I've wasted my time completely with that run. At least I know to recover my souls now.

You don't even have to beat the level to level up, as you could just take out the guys you know you can safely beat, then run back to the archstone to go back to the Nexus. If you started as a Royal, you could level up magic to make Soul Arrow stronger along with strength to make your attacks stronger.

If you focus on either magic or archery in Demon's Souls you can breeze through the game. If you haven't already you will want to research some character builds for Demon's Souls.

I'm thinking about getting Vagrant Story to play on my Vita, but the minimum 5 dollar charge means I shouldn't get it alone.  I'm looking more for stuff I don't own, so that would rule out a lot of the stuff I see being discussed like CT and ToSc.  I'm considering Alundra and VC2, but am still undecided.  Anyone have some hidden gems to recommend?

Thanks.

Oh, neat...I've got 2000+ souls, but thought I had to finish the level to do anything with them. And yeah, I went with Royal. Soul Arrow one-shots just about everything so far (blue knight has just a touch of HP left afterwards, red knight still slaughters me), but I'm still using melee most of the time to get more comfortable with it. I'm pretty good about parrying slashes at this point, but the knights tear me apart because I haven't figured out the timing on thrusts and they seem to use that more often.

Now I just need to look into how to level up.

Do you have CC? That's on sale for $3 as well right now.

I'm probably going to grab VS as well today. I'm tempted to pick up a few other PS1 games such as Alundra and Legend of Dragoon, but I'm not ready to play them now so I might as well wait for a sale.

Oh yeah, you do have to beat that level to level up, as the woman that does them doesn't appear until after it's done. I guess you'll have to work your way around then.

I have CC and remember being very disappointed with it. I have but never finished LoD but my girl thinks that one was great. It's four disks though so I assume it would take a lot of space on the memory card. I also enjoyed both Wild Arms and Grandia, but again I have both of those. Of course, these would be portable versions, and it's not like I ever actually hook up the PS1 at this point.

Well, the blue-eyed ones are easy enough when I'm not just fighting them to get better at fighting. It's just the red one I'm having real trouble with at this point, and from what I can tell I can just go back for him later anyway. Unless there's more than one, at least.

At that early stage of the game, you definitely want to skip the red knight for now. If you make it to the "end" of the stage to open the gate, then the gate will stay open even if you die fighting the boss. And you should also try to open the shortcut door in the base of the left tower. That first level is very punishing to get you into the feel of the game.

Yay finally got Guacamelee
So many new Guacamelee! owners. How long until we have another MooseTheCorgi-style meltdown?

But seriously, it's an awesome game. I'm looking forward to paying full freight for the PS4 edition. I feel like I underpaid for PS3/Vita relative to my level of enjoyment.
Just owned a bunch of you on the Starfighter table in the "Balance of the Force" pack I just bought. As always, the tables are awesome. I think if Zen did a 50% off sale like they did on Xbox a while back, I'd buy every table I don't have.
I've been hankering for some Zen Pinball. I got most of my tables from the last sale when it was buy Marvel Pinball get Zen Pinball free and they also had Fantastic Four and Captain America half price. Another big sale would be awesome.

I didn't find it that hard. Maybe because I was raised on a glut of platformers. I did enjoy all the gaming references they put in Guacamelee, although the developer later spoke about how maybe it shouldn't have.

I'm playing Tales of Symphonia and man this game is sooo cliche JRPG.  Also, why every fucking Tales game has to have that voice actor that plays Kratos I'll never understand.  He seems to be in a lot of games based on the list on Wikipedia.  He's got a really deep voice but his acting is really bad and I notice how horrible his acting is every time I hear him in a game.

I'm still thorn, hahahaha. Even tho I don't really enjoy games with aged graphics, I think that my last purchase is between Meruru and Ys. Both are at the same sale price (so neither have the edge on that). The aged graphics is because of Ys, but with the reviews not sure if I should give it a shot.

I would also consider the chances of them getting lower, but it would seem that it's not very common for them to be on sale?

Which of those two would you guys recommend?

Well to be fair he was in Symphonia two years before GoW and while the series is cliched it wasn't quite as cliched then. Symphonia is over 10 years old after all.

Personally the graphics only bothered me for the first couple hours of Ys until the game really got going and then it was just a blast. Sure it would have been nice if it looked better but I had so much fun with it that it overcame that initial hurdle. I think the game play of Ys likely has more mass appeal than the Atelier series so watch some videos and make sure the game play of the later is for you.

I would agree though that neither seems overly likely to have frequent sales. First sales on Ys and Meruru, second sale on Totori and that was the same price over six months ago.

If you lose a pile of souls early on it can feel like you 'wasted' time, but really the early souls aren't all that important. Sure, go back and get them if you can, but it's not the end of the world if you lose what seems, at the time, to be a large amount.

Learning the ropes is far more important. You'll have plenty of souls to level up with later.

I liked Demon's Souls, but it felt extremely clunky. What I watched of Dark Souls I & 2 didn't entice me to try those, since it looked too mechanically similar.

I know people are going to jump on me, but other than minor tweaks, they are all basically the same. And I'm talking about very, very minor tweaks that are barely even noticeable. I only stick with them because they're incredibly easy platinums.

Aren't the platinums just grind-heavy or requiring multiple playthroughs?
