I recently bought these but if this is true, I'll wait for the Vita versions as trophies will make it much more likely that I'll actually play it.

I also remember these games not looking so good so updated visuals would be nice too.
I've never played them. Did they have issues with mission checkpoints like GTA IV? If so, I'd definitely want that added in.

Sony web store seems broken. I wanted to purchase some AAAAAAAAA games too. :(
I had to try a few times, but I finally got in and was able to download something.

Edit: Oh, you said web store, that never worked for me. Had to go through the console, and even that was wonky.

e3 for Vita more ports? Man I'd settle for 1 Triple AAA exclusive on Vita if it was something new and awesome. Why the hell hasn't Capcom ported RE4 to Vita yet? If we are porting that would be my #1 choice. I'd also play the fuck out of it.
GTA Stories remakes would be sweet. I played the first one but don't remember much of it and would definitely play it again. Never played the 2nd one. Hope this is real.

I'm not so optimistic. I tend to prefer games get the extra time they need to be good, but this would probably be bad for Sony. The Order is their big game for this year. What else do they have other than The Last of Us Again, Drive Club, and The Witness? They need a marquis title for PR. They need more than ports and indie games to not suffer backlash from wider audiences.

Generally games aren't announced and then come out 6 months later anymore. Anything that could come out this fall would have been announced at last E3. The only other hope would be something that had been in development limbo until now, but it's best not to pin your hopes on that one, right?

To be clear, while I'm hoping for good things, I will still personally be happy even with the above scenario. I'm just speaking about the bigger picture. Microsoft is going to be aggressive and Sony can't be complacent.
I feel the exact same way. Sony needs something big for the holiday season. I think UC4 is a long shot meaning The Order is all they have left. Not for me personally, I'm patient and wouldn't buy the games at release anyway. But they are going to get some really bad PR. Exclusives are important early in a console's lifecycle. Assuming The Order gets delayed, are there any non-digital PS4 exclusives scheduled for 2014 besides DriveClub?

I got a shipping email from Rakuten late this morning for my PS4. Have you gotten yours yet?
No damn it. Bastards! I'm pretty sure you ordered after me as well.

While I'm not saying they should be resting on their laurels just because they have a lead for the moment, they really only need a big announcement if Microsoft has something big to reveal at E3. They'll probably be content to drop another trailer for Uncharted (but not with a 2014 release date), show some Morpheus stuff, the new Syphon Filter game, release date for Deep Down, and maybe Media Molecule has something ready for the fall if they were able to split the teams to work on Tearaway. That's not a horrible show if that's the case. Especially if all Microsoft has to show is a Halo remaster and Sunset Overdrive.

e3 for Vita more ports? Man I'd settle for 1 Triple AAA exclusive on Vita if it was something new and awesome. Why the hell hasn't Capcom ported RE4 to Vita yet? If we are porting that would be my #1 choice. I'd also play the fuck out of it.
RE4 and Revelations would be nice. Also a Mega Man Collection... Dungeons and Dragons: CoM, Ducktales... the list goes on what Capcom could and should do but won't.

I'm a little surprised that you can't play RE4 on ouya they've released and re-released it so many times. I just restarted my professional run through today and forgot how much I (love)hate that first scene in the town - I'm never used to tank run n' gun at this point so I just back up to the entrance and shoot / kick for crowd control until I'm almost out of bullets. the bell rings when I have one shot left every single time. game is so fuck ing rad.

hell if they'd just rerelease the Megaman collection that came out for gc/ps2 with trophy support I'm sure they'd make a mint. what the fuck are they even making now besides ultra street fighter iv?

edit - I forgot the lovely umvc3 and sfxt vita ports capcom made so I can't be too mad at them. those things are really really well done.

How about the port USSFIV to the Vita? The SFxT for the Vita is easily my preferred version, because it is back to being just fun. There is no over the top crazy "I am going to sit down and get really good at this so I can get my ass kicked at a local tourney" mentality.

I have a bad feeling that Sony may have too much riding on PS Now this year at E3.  Not because it will be a bad service, but simply because there's not much else that will be exciting to consumers for purchase this year (that's exclusive to Sony).  I hope i'm wrong and they're working on another beat down of Microsoft.  I also hope Microsoft has the same plans for Sony.  Competition is good.

you don't go for the shotgun on the 2nd floor? I just make a run for that and then get on the roof and im good. maybe headshot a cow for good measure. I totally replayed the hell out of that village level in mercenaries, with Hunk and Ada, and wesker doing that falcon punch. i.e. RE4

also Tim Curry was in Brutal Legend, so that is awesome. And I loved the factions, rockers, goth/emo, glam and demon religious. I still need to gamenight one of these days and 100% that. Wish EA would let Doublefine release that patch. I think I have all that info right.

also Wolfenstein. I'm about to beat it. It's been a good ride. Remember to always sleep tho the 3 times you have the option and you get the health upgrade each time. I didn't find any purpose to beating the nightmare original wolfenstein, but it was fun while it lasted ;) also I was worried about missing upgrades, especially related to perk (shrapnel and reflector) but they are really can't miss, so don't stress. I have all the perks except these damn grenade perks. I need to shoot them while they are throwing a grenade and have them kill their buddies, and kill 5 machines with grenades, and both proving more difficult than I thought. All the others just come with basic gameplay. and it seems they always save, so I just need to find a spot to grind these and I can restart checkpoint and it should legitly pop.

Hell, I remember importing a magazine just for the Biohazard 4 demo that ended after the village sequence. Gather enough cash and they let you use the TMP in the next run.

Do you happen to be in the Beta? They have made a drastic improvement since the last update, but I still think it will be tough to make back that $380 million they spent on Gaikai in rentals.

I don't even understand why people choose or want to rent anymore, unless they can finish off stuff in a super fast clip. Most games hit bargain prices pretty fast these days. Why rent for $5 when you can buy for $20 or less and re-sell it when you're done?

a port of usfiv to vita would make my video game 2014. it's the most popular fighting game there is, capcom does great at ports, and it would probably stay active (it's incredible how active ssfiv is now, even at weird ass hours of the morning).

previously they've acknowledged the demand for a vita port of usfiv but they originally hadn't planned on it. whether they'll be announcing the next gen/handheld ports at e3 or not remains to be seen I guess.

I'd be in for a copy for sure.

1. $5 for a week? $5 for 10 days? $5 for a month?
2. protip: most people don't resell, most people take stuff to gamestop when they get around to it, which is usually when the tiv has tanked to a few dollars.

if the price/rental time ratio was right, I would totally use Now to play something I wasn't sure about or knew that I could polish off quickly (like deadpool).

$5 is significantly cheaper than $20 and I don't have to deal with selling it.

I would definitely rent from PS Now if the prices and timeframes were right.
I don't know that all seems optimistic. Obviously I know nothing of pricing but $5 for a month seems a bit unrealistic. We're probably all getting a much better value out of Plus than we would with Now. I'm not looking down on it but for me personally a rental just seems silly. I do usually wait until things are under $20 as it is. Options are good though. Anything that brings more games to the platform is great as well. PS3 on PS4 etc.

PS Now is going to be mildly interesting, but I doubt most people will ever use it. It would be a lot more interesting if you could rent a PS4 game (even if only on PS4). But renting PS3 and earlier games? I just can't see many people doing that.

Once that game hits $20 it will be hard to sell it for that much, so then you end up selling/trading it for $15 and end up paying $5 anyways (you'll probably get even less). Or you can rent it when the game first comes out and be done with the whole thing for $5.

If it's a super long game like an RPG or a game you'll be going back to a lot because of the multiplayer or whatever, then yeah, buy it rather than keeping it around for a month if you got it from Gamefly or somewhere. But if you're just wanting to get through the 12 hour campaign then a rental may be the best bet.

I rented Saints Row 4 on release day from Redbox and was finished with the game after a few days. And since I rented it after midnight and picked it up in the morning I had two full days for the initial $2 price (I probably had a free rental I was using as well). That's pretty hard to beat.

If PS Now really can get it down to $5 a week then they'll be serious competition to Redbox and Gamefly. Also to the publishers and retail stores. That's why I think it will be more than that, but I hope it is low enough to be competitive.

Why is it that in 3rd-person shooters, I tend to just use the pistol to headshot everything unless the situation is extreme enough to require heavier weaponry? Case in point: Unit 13.

Playing an Elite mission with the guy whose main weapon is the shotgun? Screw that, I'm using the pistol!

Going after an HVT with an MG-focused guy? Don't bother, the pistol can do it all! :whee:

Attempting a Deadline mission where time makes all the difference? ...Fine, I'll go with the MG. But I'll still headshot everything! :nottalking:

Resulting Bonuses

*Sharpshooter*

*Sharpshooter x2*

*Sharpshooter x3*

*Sharpshooter x4*

Easy to 5-star most missions that way. :twoguns:

Playing Army Corps of Hell after getting it during whatever recent sale.

It's sort of like Overlord/New Little King Story meets a MH style game (arenas, crafting).

You have a ton of little minions (I currently have 100) made up of different classes (soldier, spearmen, mages).   Each attack very differently but essentially follow you around in a mass and you order them to attack.   Arena style -- each level has a bunch of 'rooms' you need to clear, and bosses to eventually kill.    Bosses can be big with multiple different weakpoints you need to exploit.

You get various materials from kills to craft better weapons/armor for your minions.

Combat, at least so far, is actually pretty fun.    Your soldiers jump on board enemies and cling/attack, till  you have enough to prompt a super attack.    This can make a demon's head explode off.    Spearmen like to attack all at once.   Mages have a ranged attack, which is great for clearing a level, or weakening an enemy, but not good for advanced play because you get no 'overkill' points (you want a huge clump of soldiers for that).

Fun game, overall, worth whatever sale price i paid (
