Since you paid $48, did you preorder from Best Buy? You can easily return it in-store with the receipt/packing slip.
 
Yeah I agree with Frisky. I predicted Worms earlier in the month and ill stick with that guess. im also guessing Knack for PS4. No idea for PS3 but excited for later in the week when it will probably all be revealed.

Even besides the IGC refresh, last June was still awesome with Siants Row 3, Deus Ex and VLR.
 
I'm having trouble thinking of something that I'd really want to see free on Plus. Most of the bigger games I already have, so it would just be indie/PSN only games that I'd want. I'm probably missing something though, so I'm hoping to get surprised.
 
I literally haven't been able to put down Arkham Asylum. I've probably put in 20 hours in 3 days. Thanks to the CAGs who recommended it.

P.S. fuck collectibles.

Collectible in Arkham Asylum were better and easier than the other 2 games IMO. I did all Riddler trophies in AA, did just enough to do all Riddler rooms in AC, and didn't even attempt them in AO.

Take it to your local Best Buy and return in store with no hassle or headaches. In and out in 2 min if there's no line.

 
The Arkham games get crazier and crazier with collectibles and challenge maps with each game. At the rate they're going, Arkham Knight is going to be 2 hours long, with over two thousand Riddler collectibles and twice as many challenge maps.

For me, both. The exploration and movement seemed fine, I wasn't a fan of the shooting mechanics though. Enemies took way too many shots unless it was a headshot. I didn't like the restriction of only being able to carry a pistol and one other gun, rather than say a shotgun and an assault rifle. And the goddamn jet skis not being able to accelerate while aiming is bullshit.

In regards to the story, I liked the story up until about the 18th or so chapter. Before that, I didn't like the fact that you would solve a puzzle to get access to a hidden room, and oh look, 20 guards somehow got in here. When it got to the
part where the "demons" show up is where it lost me. The game had somewhat sold itself as being possibly realistic, until that. I feel like they could have just said the greed for the gold made them go insane, and you could have just had insane people instead of random monsters.

I'm also going to add that the collectibles were literally pointless. I'm not saying the game was terrible, it might have been amazing back in 2007, but for me today, it was pretty mediocre.

everything I read about arkham origins makes me want to skip it, even if it is more of the same in a good way. tacked on mp with a bunch of trophies that take a long time? even more collectibles? more boss fights with qte prompts? why should I play this?

you really should skip it and finish playing TLOU. It's a much better gaming and life choice.

News about the game is supposed to be released tomorrow, so if there is a delay they'll probably announce that as well.

But yeah. It's getting delayed. The Wait for Greatness continues...

So if the order does get delayed that would make three exclusives delayed for ps4 since launch. Driveclub and infamous being the others. Is the ps4 harder to develop for than we thought or is this typical marketers pushing the date or is it Sony pushing dates because they knew they had little else?

Yeah, nobody ever delays games, so I'm betting that it's all the PS4's fault.

Sony tends to be more willing than most publishers, like EA, to let the developers get that extra time if they think it'll be worth it in the end.[/customspoiler]

Hey its just that all three are Sony devs or exclusives Sony was counting on and hyping the most for ps4. And I seriously know of no other exclusives they have since release last year. So I was seriously asking why this is. It could just be typical delays. Probably is. Just trying to ask a serious question. People wonder why we all act like dicks in here. This is why.

Maybe Sony has been cutting back resources. There was that spurt where a lot of major employees were leaving. Who knows if other resources were cut as well.

Just a thought. As a patient cheap gamer I don't personally care about delays too much. But it definitely creates some bad PR and seems to be happening a lot with new gen games.

yeah it isn't a big deal for me either same reasons as you but I was curious since all these people buying ps4s should have a real reason to own them. And frisky your spoiler is not really an answer. I think we all know its hard to dev for these machines and companies want to release as soon as possible. I was wondering about other possibilities like what Tyler said with the staff leaving etc.

Except that there weren't really any major people leaving those studios, so it's not that. Infamous was delayed a few weeks, so there's no cause for concern with that game since it was great at the end. The other two got delays, maybe, pretty much near the end of development when they're at the point where they can start seeing things come together into more of a finished product and they obviously saw it wasn't where they wanted it to be, so they got some extra time to hopefully fix them up and make sure that they hit the mark they were aiming for. It may sound boring, but that's generally why most games get delayed. The developers that have more trouble with their games than that don't make it that close to release, which is why you heard about Stig's game getting cancelled.

 
I don't mind the delays since I didn't buy it for these particular games, anyway. Most people probably aren't even aware The Order exists, lol. It is a bit ironic considering the PS4 was touted as the games-first platform, though. Not saying that still can't be the case...just saying.

Transistor is a damn fine game, though. Don't sleep on that.

At least the riddles were fun, even the interview tapes added to the story. However, the rest of the collectibles just felt tacked on to make the game longer.

And as far as The Order goes, that's fine by me if it gets delayed. With my backlog, I won't be playing it til 2018 anyways.

I guess I would be OK with that, the digital hoarder that I am. Tried to blaze through an Arkham Origins rental just for the story stuff and gave up after two days because I got hopelessly distracted each time there was anything to collect in the same neighborhood.

You really would think I would be better at this whole trophy thing based on the insanity and hoarding. Maybe if I actually played games.

No it was preordered from amazon ages ago during a sale. I accidentally ordered it on my wife's account, which is why I didn't notice and forgot to cancel. The problem is, my wife's account is where we do a ton of monthly shopping (subscribe and save, etc) and people have put the fear in me about returning stuff to amazon and risking our account. (We occasionally get things broken, so have legitimate returns during the year and I don't want to add an extraneous return). I might be being overly concerned, I have no idea how much abuse people that get banned actually do.

Well it is implied that only is true if you're him and Nintendo usually cancels anything that bad instead of shoving it out to just make money.
