From what I've read, you only play Vanquish wrong if you play it like a cover shooter, so no, you played it right.

As for WD's online, you can turn it off, but it will reset your online level/progress to 0.

Ps4 question: I am a plus member and I keep getting an error msg about auto uploading saves because they have the same name. is there any setting to fix this so i don't have to go in and manually allow the save to be uploaded? It kind of defeats the purpose of auto upload and was never an issue on my Ps3.

I'm pretty sure the story has nothing to do with the decision to make a sequel. For better or worse, a sequel is a guaranteed money maker for Sony.

It's not The Last of Us 2.

The directors behind The Last of Us are confirmed (as of today actually) to be working on Uncharted 4 now, probably because U4 was turning out crappy storywise and they needed to fix it.

I highly doubt they would trust their baby to anyone else.

As for the second Naughty Dog title, could be a Jak revival. Could be a new IP in the meantime. Or it could be Sony blowing smoke ahead of the eventual Last of Us 2 release. Who knows.

From what I found Raindow Moon is cross-trophy, they share a list. Is this true? If so that stinks as I already platinumed it, and I'd be in for it again at 2.09, but I see no point since I did everything in the game on PS3.

Obviously, all of this is speculation, but the directors working on Uncharted 4 may be more of a PR move than anything else. Also, they could work on both projects at once - especially if each project is on a vastly different timeline.

I would love for it to be something besides The Last of Us 2 for many reasons, but it seems pretty clear that the game publishers are adamant about building up franchises and producing sequels since that's where the easier money is. A new IP or revival of an older one would be much preferred to a sequel of a recent game, but we should also remember that if they are just now starting it, it probably wouldn't come out for a couple of years which means it would be 3 or 4 years since The Last of Us which is a similar timeline to the Uncharted games.

Regardless of what it is, i'm glad things are being worked on and stuff is in the pipeline. I guess that should have been obvious to us anyway since half the studio would have been let go otherwise.

All I know is with this and project beast... not to mention some 8 other sony studios working on games that have not been announced... No wonder Sony is showing their conference in movie theaters!!!!

 
So I've never played any Diablo games before. Just grabbed 3 on sale.

Can anyone that has played that as well as the old Baulder's Gate PS2 games tell me if they're similar at all? Wife and I used to play the shit out of Baulder's Gate And I want to know if she'd enjoy Diablo as well or if it's more complicated or whatever.

I meant 100% to buy mega, lol. I don't know the struggle yet. Hopefully these prize monsters are worth the grind, and maybe we'll get lucky that 1500 people don't have mega packs too.
 
Sounds like the a ton of people are buying Wii U's just for Mario Kart. Now imagine if Nintendo didn't have a console barrier and just opened their games to whatever platforms they wanted. They would literally make billions off a game like Mario Kart.

It's a lot like the PS2 Baldur's Gates (and Champions of Norrath). It's not any more complicated than those games. The couch co-op is done really well, too, so hopefully your wife enjoys it. Mine does.

It would really be in your best interests to bury your expectations of the e3 press conference. A good rule of thumb is to think of the most exciting announcements you can imagine and then replace them all with stuff you read on the internet weeks ago but now accompanied by short video clips or buggy yet staged gameplay presentations. And they'll show a blurry picture of the vita they took from a cell phone camera right before they went on stage with the caption 'also got this fer sale (?)' handwritten on it.

If they show anything for Uncharted, a name maybe for the new Naughty dog game, and one other new exclusive I would honestly love it... so

 
I'm just happy we have the "new console" crap out of the way from last year.  In new console years they spend most of their time showing off how wonderful the hardware is and giving very early demos/cinematics of games you know you won't see for a long time, then playing up the ports that will dominate the launch.  With no new hardware, they really focus on the new games - which is what I want to see.

Now if they would just stop spending a third of their time on the latest Call of Duty and EA Sports lineup, we would be getting somewhere.  Yes, we know you have a new Madden and it probably looks a little prettier - the stuff that the sports fans are worried about is the gameplay though and you can't show that.  And demoing the a level of Call of Duty, do people even play the single player more than once anyways?  It'll be pretty and be good online, enough said.

Because it is awesome! I love Mario Kart. Even the relatively crappy ones like Mario Kart Wii. And this one is apparently a return to form. I'd have some personal perspective on that, but my copy is on a slow boat from California. :( At least I added $10 to my Starbucks card! Yeah!

Yeah but why? What's great about it? Not trolling, curious. It always seems so slow and boring to me. I guess it's because I don't have any nostalgia for the original.

 
I have no nostalgia for the original. I didn't play it until much later (run it in an emu) and it was too archaic to have a lot of fun with it, though I had some fun with it. I don't know what it is, I just find them super fun. They are also great with kids, of course. The only real bummer with this new version is that they done f'd up the battle mode, but I hope they'll add in some free DLC battle arenas. Fingers crossed.

The only racing title that would make me happier than Mario Kart 8, would be the announcement of a new Excite title. ExciteBots is the best racing game ever. That game was so awesome, especially the online which was f-ing brilliant.

 
I didn't get DD: Dark Arisen free on plus like the rest of you; that said, I'm looking at a like new copy for $19 shipped. Yay or nay? It seems to be taking forever to drop.  :oldman:

Thanks, I guess I'll just never really get the appeal. I've tried almost every version (no Wii U) and just kind of shrug my shoulders once I played some.

 
I don't think it's TLoU 2 but no in way in hell Sony let's Naughty Dog walk away from that IP without at least making another run for a sequel.  TLoU made too much to leave money on the table like that.

Auto-upload has been borked since the last firmware update. You have to manually upload your saves for the time being. The 'share' feature is also not working properly, though that's been a bit of mixed bag since launch. I'm surprised more people haven't asked about it here.

Also, redeeming uplay rewards appears to corrupt some people's Watch_Dogs save, so heads up on that.

 
It's just good, fairly simple arcadey fun that most anyone can pick up and play. At least that's what I liked about it when I played it, I haven't played a console one since Mario Kart 64. If you don't have anyone to couch coop with I could see how it would lose its appeal.

The other racer that is similar in its arcadey funnery was San Fransisco Rush 2049 which was a standard arcade racer which added retractable wings to your car so that you had limited control to maneuver and change your orientation in mid-air. That simple little change made the hunt for stunts infinitely more entertaining.

Eh, I've liked all of the ones I've tried (64, GBA, Double Dash, DS, Wii, 7) except for GBA and 7.

I didn't like GBA just because it was so... lacking. And 7 just didn't have a whole lot of replay value for me (really should have had more tracks, specifically non-repeats), and felt really grindy to get any parts.

They had a funded kickstarter for a spiritual successor, Road Redemption, a little over a year ago but at this point I don't think it is coming out on a Sony platform.

I played and loved the original MK when it first came out. I was hooked on it for months. Battle mode was fantastic. Since then I've played the GC versions (DoubleDash) and the Wii version. Neither measured up to the original in battle mode at all IMO, and overall the maps and games were forgettable after the first one. SASRT blows all three out of the water.

also anyone think Thief ps3 for $16 gamefly is a good deal? i played and flipped it, but I always felt it would be a ps+ game. Squenix likes to give ps+ games often...
