You know... Kinect was FORCED on us by XBO... FORCED!.. What did you guys see that was for Kinect?  The only game I was moderately interested in (Fantasia) wasn't even shown.  It was barely freakin' acknowledged.

Surely I missed something. A "new" Halo is MS big draw? I didn't really see anything that would be exclusive to Xbox of interest other than maybe Sunset, just because it was visually nice. I'm not sure Sony would even have to do anything to win e3 this year except show up.

 
I'm pretty positive I made the right choice this generation. I don't give a fuck about Halo or 1st person stuff in general. There were a few games that would be stuff I'd want like the Platinum Game, Crackdown, and Sunset Overdrive but if I'm going to stick it out this gen with only 1 system I have to be able to let some shit go.

Too bad for Cuphead, looks nice, gameplay looks like dog shit.

Isn't the new game by the Deadly Premonition developer (Swery65), D5, dependent entirely on Kinect? I saw a brief glimpse of it during the summary trailer at the end.

I was somewhat crushed to learn that that would require Kinect, and I'm curious to know how it will work now that Kinect has effectively been thrown to the dogs.

I don't blame them really - if they didn't make it part of the system, developers would never use it and it would never make any traction. They wanted it as something to differentiate themselves or at the very least they wanted to avoid the 'hard drive optional' problem from the 360. I think the technology is really cool (as is a lot of stuff with origins in Microsoft R&D) but ultimately not many people want a third party camera staring at them all the time. I think we'll find the same is true with VR though - not many people want to put on a spacesuit to relax and play video games. gimmicks are gimmicky, news at 11.

Uncharted collection will either be announced this E3 or next.  Whenever Uncharted 4 is coming probably the same time.  Although if they were smart and UC4 wasn't coming till 2015, then put the UC collection in time for this holliday season, possibility if TLOU remastered could come this summer.

 
Not to mention, depending on the price of PS Now, that could also blow everyone out of the water.  part of plau to $10 a month and boom Sony wins.  $20+  and we have a problem

I'm cautiously optimistic. I hope they flood 2015 with exclusives and a harder push for indies to showcase. That said, I know that the only person right now handling indies is Nick Suttner. One man is not suited to the task. They should give him a team so they can reach indies better, while curating the promising ones from the crap ones. So far, Nick has been stellar.

Good calls, though I don't think MK X will get stage time. They just released a CG trailer that was probably pitched for a stage and rejected. And I wonder if Alien is compelling enough after the last game totally cratered.

I imagine Arkham will show up even though it was just delayed.
 
Being firmly ensconced in the Playstation ecosystem, that MS conference was a little boring with spikes of 'oh, cool'.   All the games I was interested in (like, say, The Division) will be (slightly) better on my ps4 anyway.

A big part of the problem was that so much was CGI.  I've never played a crackdown game, for example, so... that vid did nothing for me except make me think of how goofy it was (killing thousands to take down one guy, using a sniper instead of a remote detonator, etc).

The Platinum game would wow me (vanquish style) except... for every cool thing (dragons looked great) there was that goofy headphone wearing main character that weighed it down.   Plus, no gamplay shown.  Still, the most intriguing aspect of the conference for me, but only because of the dev's history, not due to what was shown.

Halo collection doesn't interest me at all.  I imagine it's about the same level of 'cool' as a Uncharted collection for ps4... a nice to have for fans, but not particularly interesting unless you already love the series.

Huge improvement over last year, but hopefully next year has less cgi and less multiplats.

I can see that conference being far more interesting if simply mentioning the name of stuff like Crackdown and Phantom Dust and Halo excites you.  But i'd never even heard of Phantom Dust, and that trailer made it look like a fighting game or something (maybe it is).

I really hope Sony pulls through today. So far all those exclusives for M$ don't interest me enough to EVER think of purchasing a XB1. I don't know what it is w/ M$ but they have never made a connection with me. I loved Sony from the PS1 days and tried Xbox/360 and just hated that fucking controller. Their controller is terrible and to me is in the same category as the N64 absolute shit.  I'll give my money to Nintendo for a WiiU before M$ any day of the week.

Isn't Shahid bringing lots into the fold too? A recent one that comes to mind is the news that Charlie's games 'Son of Scoregasm' is coming, and that's all Shahid.

Probably right on MK. I hope so on Alien, it looks great from what I've seen but who knows. Would also love to see: Dying Light, and Evil Within.

Everyone that has played Alien says it is the best Alien game to date and really gives you the horro feel of the original movie, but you are playing through it. Similar to Outlast in the Alien universe

Having played FOs as a kid (and Wasteland, for that matter) I was so psyched to find out FO3 was coming out. I did play a lot of it on my ps3, but it was so mired in bugs it pissed me off and i never even gave New Vegas a try for fear of all the glitches I'd heard about.

I can't wait for FO4 on my ps4, since odds are it'll run well. That makes me happy. I really hated skipping those games.

Nick Suttner is the one handling the developers pitching the indies and such. And Shahid's from Sony Europe. That said, a lot of the current indies, Transistor, Binding of Isaac, etc, have been because of Nick.

I have New Vegas Ultimate in my backlog. I'll probably just sell it once FO4 is announce.

I have been lucky to play Fallout 3, New Vegas and Skyrim without encountering glitches (except the occasional lockup, but I save nigh constantly). I want Fallout 4 badly. I spent 800+ hours in the games I mentioned before. Bethesda and Obsidian are wizards.

oh, i see what you mean -- for announcing E3 games. Shahid's more for announcing gamescon games. But both do indies; I thought you were talking more generally, that only Nick gets indies for us, not E3 specific.
