I know I haven't mentioned it lately with all the commotion, but Portal 2.

You Made Your Point :)

I can't beat the final boss in Hell on Gunslugs. Any tips? I can get to him with a continue but his little minions rip me to shreds in the 2nd and 3rd waves of the fight.

Oh, and by the way, Gunslugs is awesome. You're welcome to everyone I convinced to buy it.
Did you read the tip for that trophy at PSNProfiles?

A number of people have PM'd me asking how to beat the Skeleton boss at the end of the Hell level. Here are some tips.

1) Choose Sarge and play the Hell level very carefully. Move a half screen at a time avoiding worms and flying skulls. Save your money. Try to collect 100 coins by the time you reach the end of the second level. The game almost always offers you a continue for sale before the boss stage.

2) Boss stage. As you enter, immediately run under the skeleton's head to the left of his neck. You will be safe here from the fire attack during his first phase. Attack the hand on the right of the screen first and then quickly turn around and attack the hand on the left. You want all fingers to uncurl. You should be able to defeat phase 1 very quickly. Hop up to the first platform above the ground.

3) Phase 2. This is where you will most likely lose one of your lives. Dodge incoming enemies never letting them be directly below you on the ground. They like to jump up and burn you to a crisp. After the skeleton's flame attack, move quickly to the bottom level and attack the hands. Count to 3 and jump back up to safety. If you have the fire gun, you can attack the hand on the right from the platform due to the weapon spread. You will likely run out of ammo and have to use your default gun. Don't get greedy, but move quickly.

4) Phase 3. Same as phase 2. Keep dodging enemies and keep up the assault. It you may have to move sides if you are getting swarmed.

Keep at it. It took me about 8 tries to complete the stage.

Forgot to buy Rainbow Moon.

Do I buy it just for Vita or spent the extra $2 and get the PS3 version as well even though I may never play it?
got rainbow moon day 1... played it few days and never went back.. Its just way too freaking dark to see anything at least for me.

one day i hope to go back to it. Sucks i paid i think 12 and could got it or what 5 last week

At least now with a FILLED UP 32GB memory card i wont be buying anything else off PSN unless there are major sales (at least 50% off)

still thinking about buying REAL BOXING For 1.75 tonight not sure about HOT SHOTS GOLF 1 .

How's Entwined, Frisky (and anyone else who bought it)? It looks like it would be entertaining and it's pretty, but I'm on a budget these days!
I posted a video of the first two levels earlier in the thread if you want to see it in action. I enjoyed what I've played so far.

Its a tunnel game where you control each of the two creatures with an analog stick and have to guide them through colored goals in order to build up each of their meters to reach a state of euphoria or whatever they call it. It's pretty simple so far, though I can see it pulling some stunts to try to trip me up in later levels.

Did you check the tip for that trophy at PSNProfiles?

Yeah. I keep getting wiped out near the end of Phase 2 or beginning of Phase 3.

It's also obnoxious having to replay the level over and over to get back to the boss because there's a lot of instant-kill enemies.

Tomb Raider Trilogy: Play or Sell?
I liked the games when I played them so they are worth playing through. However, after playing the reboot and seeing how superior it is, I would probably vote sell to get to a PS4 faster and spend the time playing the Definitive Edition instead. I'm playing it on the PS4 now after already getting the plat on PS3 before. It looks awesome on the PS4.

I figure I have about a year before I get a PS4, so If I can get around 40 or so games finished in that amount of time, I'll feel good about not getting bogged down in backlog again. Considering everyone that's commented so far has liked them, I'll think I'll choose other games to get rid of in their place. Thanks guys. I also think I may have finally decided to cut loose the following:

Amazing Spider-man

Bionic Commando

Duke Forever

Dungeon Siege 3 (Can get my fix with Diablo PS4)

Fallout NV (too long)

Lost Planet

Pure

Thanks for the feedback, Frisky. Looks pretty good, but I got burnt out on Dyad pretty quickly with no desire to return. This looks a little more fun/less eye-bleedy than that, though. Just read a pretty positive review on it, but I'll probably hang tight for another one or two to pop up.

I fully support your disposal of those games.

Are we using this thread as a Nintendo discussion thread too? Cuz a new Star Fox just leaked. The controls sound terrible.
That could be good, but not if it requires the motion controls... :headache:

I'm not allergic to motion control when it is done well. If they did it right it could be fun. Of course it could suck too. Remains to be seen. Excitebots Trick Racing was awesome and it was motion controlled.

Actually, there might be hope for that Star Fox having a traditional control scheme since Star Fox 64 3D had optional gyroscope controls which pretty much sucked. Maybe Nintendo will go into more detail during their "conference".

I enjoyed those 2 myself. Granted, I am a comic fan so it was a lot of the reason I likely enjoyed Spider-Man. The graphics in it were god awful in the cut scenes, but the game itself was not too bad. It got a bit repetitive near the end, but a lot of that seemed to be due to me going for the plat.

I am guessing Bionic Commando has not aged well at all, but I liked it when I played it. I would definitely not suggest playing it on hard or going for the plat because it is a struggle, but I thought the game play was unique.

Maybe I just like games where you can swing around on a hook or a web.

Man Star Fox is one game I'd love love love to see. If it's borked then I won't have to consider getting a Wii U. phew. Close call. If it has both options for controls then I might be in trouble.

I'm hoping someone can help me on a simple question that's not clear on my searches.  Will Sony allow two accounts that have separate purchases on the same console?  For example, my PSN account has games purchased and my wife's PSN account also has games purchased (separately).  Can games from either account be downloaded to the same console at the same time?  I know you have to designate up to two consoles registered to a PSN ID, but I don't know if the same console can be registered to two PSN ID's at the same time.

Pre-Ordered a Playstation TV bundle. I was going to just get the unit itself but I figure the extras weren't bad for the money. Extra controller, Lego for my son, and 8GB should cover any game I want to download to it.

Why are people complaining about the PS Now Beta.  Everyone is getting to use it July 31st, and we are getting a crap ton of great games for free as a result of the open beta!  Awesome!!!!

I'm seriously thinking about getting one of these for my son's room.

You might want to mention which console you're talking.

Vita only allows one per system, but PS3 allows, I think, 16 accounts on it at once. There are no restrictions on whether you can download/play those games on them as long as you haven't gone over your limit for PS3s attached to that account. The original owner doesn't have to be present for their games to be playable.

The PS4 uses a completely new system where you have your main PS4 that can play anything downloaded to that console at any time from other accounts that also use that PS4 as their primary PS4. Games belonging to anybody else can only be played when they're logged in.

Paltry selection of games. It's a nice test of game streaming, but no wow factor. I have the best possible connection and they need to balance out the graphics. It can get fugly.

That was my tip lol. That fight is very frustrating because of how long it takes to get to the boss. If you follow my tips you should be able to clear phase 1 after 3 or 4 tries at the boss. Get the timing right on phase 2 and you should eventually make it to phase 3. Good luck!

Which is terrible. If you want to share accounts like you would with two PS3's, even if the person has your account registered in their PS4 as the main one, they must log in and activate an online service/multiplayers of sorts so they can "activate" Plus. Then, the other person can play on their account. At the cost of signing you out and being a total hassle. Bad Sony, :shame:

Your allowed, what? 2 Ps4's and 2 PS3's per PSN account?
Yeah, and a total of two handhelds (any combination of psp, vita). You can only have one primary PS4 though; someone can correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding is you can't save your info on a second PS4. It's designed for you to be able to play your content at a friends house temporarily.

Let's see how the open beta fairs, every time they have opened it up for more people it gets more stable. I have a 30 MBPS connection, and every game works perfectly. They wouldn't be releasing AAA titles like MGS V for the beta if they weren't sure it would work!

Not to mention they announced there would be 100+ new games added to plus for the open beta... not paltry.

You can, but see my above post to know how shitty it is.

This is essentially how the 360 worked (and I assume the Xbox One, but don't know for sure). At least on the 360 you could have a 2nd controller and log them in on that controller, without them actually playing anything, and then you can play their games. Not ideal at all, but it works. I have no idea if this works on the PS4.

Thanks for the information and sorry I didn't specify the console. I was referring to the PS3.

Thanks again.

EDIT: I am curious on how the Vita TV will work in this regards. I assume it will be tied to only one account like the Vita since that is essentially what it is.

The only good thing about Starfox is that it bombed so badly that Dylan Cuthbert left after the sequel was canned and went on to found Q-Games and make the awesome PixelJunk games.
