Wouldn't call it a terrible sale. PS All Stars + Twisted Metal sound good for $5 each. Will also get Hot Shots Vita at that price. I like the PS3 version but think I'd play the Vita version a lot more. I get the feeling though with All Stars and Hot Shots Vita, a good slap is incoming.

Yeah I'll wait for free on All-Stars, already have Hot Shots which for that price is a steal.

Definitely going to grab the Ratchet & Clank games that are on sale, so I can have everything that is available for PS3. Size Matters is only game left not on PSN.

Just like they outed The Master Chief Collection coming to 360 before it was officially announced as XB1-exclusive, and now the 360 mention is gone?

There's still hope.
It would've been nice. Would've loved to have Halo 2 on the 360. Pretty much all the Halo games are found on the 360 sans Halo 2. Knowing that really bothers me for some reason. >.>

Alright twist my arm, I'm with you on this one, I was only going to grab Crack in Time but probably doesn't make sense to not get Tools as well.

Best Resident Evil since 4, I'd say. Though it still feels like a 3ds game when you play it, probably because it original was.
Tyler would say "yay", I think. I still have to play the PS3 version, but I very much enjoyed the 3DS version when I played it.
Price?

I enjoyed it quite a bit on 3DS.
Cool thanks. Found physical for $10 and was wondering if I should go for it. I liked the 3DS demo.

Real Boxing Vita review ---

This one's cheap this week, so I picked it up. Overall? Worth it at this price, but I'm glad I didn't buy it new.

On one hand, it's better than I expected, on the other it still has a 'budget' feel to it. There are some odd hit box things going on at times, but it's consistent in it's oddities so didn't ruin the game for me. It generally controls well -- dpad is your left hand (jab, hook, uppercut) and the buttons on the right are your right hand. You can also use the right analog for both hands, but i preferred the other. Left analog is movement. Left trigger modifies to body punch. Right trigger is block if hold, dodge if click.

Overall? It's a fun budget boxing game. No plot. Just three tourneys, 9 or so fights each. You can raise some stats (strength, stamina, speed) and it really makes a difference.

I 100%'d it in two sessions, nothing particularly hard. I enjoyed it, but i like boxing games. It's a few steps back from the bigger budget boxing games but at the same time it's actually better than I expected.

My biggest con is that I beat the game using almost exclusively counter hooks... i never felt the need to do body punches to hurt enemy stamina, etc. Oh, and enemies look different but don't really show much diversity in style -- you wait for a punch, dodge, and clock them. Worth the buck and change if you want to beat up some digital foes and get some trophies, but you'll be getting exactly what you expect - a serviceable budget boxing game hampered by exactly the things you'd expect it to be hampered by, and nothing more.

Verdict - worth the buck and change I paid for it, but you're not missing anything if you skip it and i'd be pissed if i paid more than i did.
Finally played Real Boxing, and I have to agree. It's terribly flawed. I couldn't get it to switch my country at the beginning. Lots of the menu are touch only and good luck if you've got fat fingers. The game itself is okay but quirky. Sometimes I throw extra punches when I really should be dodging. It's a $1 game. Not worth more than that. I'd be interested in a polished fighting / wresting Vita game.

Why am I tempted on Hot Shots Vita when I barely enjoyed it on PS3, and that one comes with more shit? Just when I was starting to feel smug for passing up Luftrauser, Sports Champions 2, and Real Boxing despite them being dirt cheap.

That's an easy question to answer: Digital format (portability) + separate trophy list.

:whee:

Eh. I just tried Everybody's Golf. It's...okay for a golf game. Still dull, though. I have to say the EU PS+ "exclusives" for Vita (since September) have all been meh to me. Here's the list that I'm aware of:

Modnation Roadtrip

Dynasty Warriors Next

Guacamelee

New Little Kings Story

Motorstorm RC

Hot Shots Golf

Muramasa Rebirth

Dragon's Crown

Surge Deluxe

Granted Guacamelee! is a dud more because I prefer it on PS3, but the rest are just very lackluster.

wtf is up with all these re-releases of already hd games?
They look better on the newer consoles? Not exactly hard to figure out. There's a pretty big difference between the way last generation and PC versions looked on these games. Kicking XB1/PS4 up to PC standards (or at least close to it) makes for a much better experience.

Granted I don't know that I'd consider the upgrade to be worth buying, but if you never played it on PS3, then why not play on PS4?

Maybe it's a way to upgrade our backlogs. Holding on to that old PS3? Well here's the new and improved Joker version of Sleeping Dogs for the PS4...now feel free to upgrade at any time! Act now and we'll throw in a free keychain. Only 8 easy payments of $50!

I think it's hot shots and sorcery saga for me for the sale.

Yeah, the drops felt same-y. Hopefully it's due to the level cap. The few interesting weapons I did find all came from the encrypted engrams. I can't remember if those were dropped or rewarded at the end of missions. Some of the legendaries are definitely interesting, though. I got a rifle that disintegrated enemies so that was cool. It also appears some can be upgraded and customized.
I upgraded some rare weapons. Different sites, higher damage, etc. The damage just doesn't seem as exotic as in BL2, and again the diversity isn't there - my current auto-rifle, for example, has one upgrade for damage and then 2 upgrades for scopes (though you can only have one at a time obviously). But I still love the Destiny alpha so whatever. But I'd be even more excited for BL3 PS4.

So did anyone get to a part in the Destiny Alpha where it became good? I didn't. Find beacon, kill everyone. Repeat. Sometimes you pick up shards after killing them. Sometimes you don't. Super terrible attempt at Borderlands too - you have to go to the tower (and a long loading screen to it and a long loading screen back from it) to turn the generic shit you pick up into weapons, instead of just finding weapons and immediately using them? Brilliant! Or did I miss something? Oddly enough the opening chapter was by far the best part, even though it was generic and entirely linear. It seemed like a standard FPS to me and not a very good one. But it's hard to judge an alpha I guess. Still, I'm not sure what they succeeded in showing as being better than any other FPS.
If you just run around solo on some of the non-story missions, it'll get boring quick -- like you said, just side mission after side mission. there are more 'driven' story missions, but where it really shines imo is running around with a squad... you'll run into other squads, occasionally get massive event bosses with multiple squads joining together to take it down, etc.

It does the fluid online coop better than any game i've played so far (don't play mmos so have no idea about them)... other games have promised similiar features (like The Division) but they aren't out yet. Hmm... I guess NFS PS4 sort of does it too, but it's a racing game so very different.

I was able to glitch through the wall easily, but once there it didnt look the same as when the guy in the video did it.
You know, I think it was the same for me. Like, the guy glitches onto a ledge and he can see the ledge, but i had more of a closeup view and couldn't see jack. I just took a chance and did exactly what the guy did (move along an edge) by pushing against the wall he could see but i couldn't, and everything worked out and i got to the place to jump off. But i do remember it not being as easy/visible as the youtube.

I find it much easier to stay awake later than to wake up earlier to play games. If I was going to get up early I would use that time to workout instead of playing games. But thankfully I decided waking up early wont work.
It's so hard for me to wakeup early for working out. I ramble around like a zombie trying to remember what it is i'm planning on doing. If i actually get started working out i wake up fast and it's great... but ugh. Gaming late night is where it's at for a dad. Workout squeezed somewhere into the day. I tried doing the workout before I went to bed but ended up staying up to like 6am that night. I think i want to go back to trying in the morning, but man i hate waking up early more than anything.

I get most of my gaming in on vita during naptime. I get some more in after everyone's asleep except for days where i need to crash out too. I used to naturally be up till 5am every night but now that i have someone waking me up early every morning i fall asleep earlier more. which is a good thing, i guess.

Well most of these games have PC version, PC version should be easier to port to PS4/Xone architecture, PC versions already have high res assets. So it's likely a low investment money maker for the most part.

I wish they would at least be for games that I both a.) want to play and b.) didn't get free through PS+. I haven't started sleeping dogs so it'd be awesome to play it on ps4 instead, but I couldn't possibly justify paying for it when there's a $0 copy sitting on my hard drive.

Then get the plat in the PS3 version, and by that time, the PS4 version might (hopefully) be on PS+. Simple.

OH. HECK. YES. :twoguns:

Without getting some/all of the trophies in the PS3 version first? :shame:
Actually, I think it's one of the games that I've actually popped in and are pulling my completion % down. Oh well, I just sold Amazing Spider-Man and FO New Vegas, both sitting at 0% and 1% respectively. Deleting trophy lists from your account should really be a thing.

Just play the PS3 version as soon as you can. If you like GTA games at all and like Kung Fu (is that racist?) at all you should love Sleeping Dogs. Its just plain fun.

I tried everything I could think of to try and get down to the race and never could. I glitched into the wall at least 20 times and never got anywhere near it.

You should be able to hide Amazing Spider-Man since it's at 0%, but I'm not 100% sure that will raise your completion %.

I will try the online in Destiny if it still up tonight. Part of the problem is I don't know how to navigate this game. The giant, inviting looking Earth only seems to have chapter 1 and the repetitive beacon missions. I guess the online is at the Tower?

I'm sure others will disagree, but in an effort to put you immediately in the action, Bungie did a big disservice to people who aren't quick learners, like myself. I felt like there should have been some sort of tutorial that explained some of the basics since I found myself very confused at first. I almost quit playing once I got to the wizard since he seemed to be nearly invincible (at least playing solo). Luckily, I decided to take the time to look into it more (skill upgrade, etc.) and am glad I did.

Of course, if there had been a tutorial I would be complaining about that instead.
