Sure, there are a few I might do that with - but nothing recently. And if I actually play the game immediately it doesn't bother me (nearly as much) if it goes on sale/free 2 months later. My problem is that I was buying stuff and never getting around to playing it (or even downloading it in some cases) and then bang, it's free...

Like I said, I'll keep the monies on there for PS+ in 2018 if I have to. I ain't giving it away ;). And chances are there will be something I can buy before then anyway. At least you know DLC won't be part of PS+ so that's always fair game.

My problem with gaming in general, recently, is that I keep playing 100+ hour games and my backlog keeps growing as a result. I spent well over 120 hours on Dark Souls 2 and now I'm pushing 100 in Final Fantasy X. I just have to beat Penance before I can move on. I'm not platting it because of those impossible Tidus/Lulu quests. Well, I suppose they aren't impossible, but the idea of doing the same thing over and over and over with all the unskippable stuff along the way is mind numbingly boring...

I really should commit to knocking out 4 or 5 shorter games after I'm done.

How short is Mutant Mudds? I've been grinding away at Mercenary Kings and need a breather, but I'll probably wait for Strider (w/ a plat) if Mudds is 10h+ to complete.

If I had to guess, it took me maybe 8 hours to get all of the trophies? Then again, I didn't find much of it all that difficult since I'm good at platformers, so it may take longer for those with less experience.

If I can do it, you can. What worked for me was skipping along and just playing once or twice a level instead of mindlessly playing the same one 20 times in a row.

I'm the total opposite. I have all these long, grinding games that I would really like to play...but every time I start something new I always pick something short so I can get it outta the way first. I'm gonna have so many 75-100 hour games backlogged eventually, I'll go insane trying to play them. We need to swap problems.

I would guess 6 - 8. I'm not sure how long the last 20 medals are going to take me, but I'd guess I've only played about 5 hours so far. Unless you're terrible at platformers, no way it should take you 10+

I was until they all expired or something. They just disappeared. I think the last two or one time I've bought straight from the store cause I couldn't find anywhere else.

This is almost certainly it. You need to generate in small batches to avoid fraud, and the odds of the systems being well integrated/automated approach nil.

I think something people forget about ps+ is that it isn't just 'free games', but discounts.  I know i look forward to the discounts/sales every week, and the ps+ prices are often compelling even for games I don't have much interest in.   I don't keep track of how much I save over and above the non+ sale price, but I bet I pay for ps+ every month just through that additional discount.

And I can't say there's ever a time that worrying about a game coming to ps+ has ever stopped me from buying a game.

Either it's a game like TxK that I'm drooling over and would buy full price twice if I had to, or it's a sale price so good that I can't resist.   If I need to play the game that day, or the price is right, why would I worry about what might happen 3 or 6 months from now (or never?)

And while the possibility it may go free may stop some sales, the discounts/sales cause other sales.  And ultimately, the people who stop buying games because they might go free likely aren't the big spenders to begin with -- those people who are buying everything day 1 are doing so because they want to play it now, and are obviously aware the price will eventually drop but don't care.

Hmm... Muramasa again? Looks like they are recycling Vita games. Hopefully they recycle Ninja Gaiden Sigma, BlazBlue, and SFvT. I missed out on those the first time around.

The odds of them ever recycling ps+ games is pretty much zero. As someone else pointed out, Muramasa was EU, not US.

I find it hard to believe that the people from this company that make these sorts of decisions aren't snickering to themselves behind closed doors because of how ridiculous it is. That's like Apple Records suing Fiona Apple for copyright infringement. Or Fiona Apple suing The Apples in Stereo. Or The Apples in Stereo suing Alice in Chains for 'Rotten Apple'.

I would really like an apple right now.

With a new game coming out around the corner, PR stunt briefly crossed my mind but that's way too much money in court costs for something like that. Also I thought maybe they just really hate the defendant and want to waste their time and money, but they're still carrying on about it outside of this case.

They're just a bunch of insane assholes. That's what I'm going with.

Ugh, they used to be a great dev (developed the original AvP), but they've really turned to shit over the past few years.

They're not the only ones who trademark troll, League of Legends is doing similar shit and so are the people behind Candy Crush.They're all pieces of shit.

 
That's the mess that the copyright system is in this country where it's shifted from protecting the ability of creators being able to make a living from their works to protecting the rights of corporations to cut out huge swathes of intellectual territory. The other problem is that it also requires you to challenge all possible infringements against your holdings or risk losing the rights to them. It's a mess as a whole.

It'll come to normal consoles eventually. There was no way this game wasn't getting amazing reviews though, everyone has been hyping it for over a year. It looks cool and all, I just doubt it's the 2nd coming of Mega Man.

I still definitely hope they port it to something I own.
