Wow so now you can download user made ships in Resogun, this is the best! You can fly around as Superman and Walter White, wooowwwww.

 
I went a little crazy with Mutant Mudds Deluxe today--I only have the 20 mirror levels (20 water sprites (star-thingies) + 2000 gold diamonds) and

16 Grannie secret levels
left until I 100% it. :joystick:

So I finished Castle of Illusion today with the kids cheering me on.  I had no idea you could change costumes by jumping into the mirror until I had already beat the game. 

Would have much rather been running through there with Mickey in a suit of armor.... you know, because he's such a badass.

I don't delete any of my games, which is why I have a 64gb memory card without PS Plus. Never know when I want to replay something.

If I save more than the cost of PS Plus buying a month, why wouldn't I buy a month? It all depends on what's on sale and how much of it I actually want at the time.

Hope you're buying trial codes from folks here or on ebay rather than paying full freight for monthlies. You'd probably better off getting the full year of Plus for $30 (black friday) or $40 (pretty regular sale price) just to get access to the sale prices than buying each time a good sale comes up.

 
Happy with the PS plus games for July.

Murasasa is something I wanted to try on my Vita, same goes for Strider on PS4.

I also like the 2 2 2 format with rotations every month.

Edit: even more awesome news, Muramasa is only 450 MB.  Hell yes.

As far as I remember, you have to beat the game to switch costumes.

Are we talking about that PS mobile game? I started reading the blog post and it was all about how much he loves Mario. After a couple paragraphs I just said who the fuck cares and stopped reading. If you want to sell me on your game, tell me about your game. Don't tell me about why you love another game that has nothing to do with yours. And don't keep saying you want to create a game like Mario, because you can't fucking do it. There's a reason Mario is so successful. The dude should know, he has such a boner for it.

It's Marketing 101... getting people to buy your game by telling them how awesome another game is.

So this is on topic due to that guy complaining about PS+ games that have been on sale in some arbitrarily insulting time period. I wrote a big response to somebody else making the same complaint on reddit (where it will be downvoted as appropriate.) I'll share it here to regurgitate the same thoughts and statements that have already been shared here a number of times:

It's not a big deal. Games always drop in price, and this pattern has accelerated quite a bit over the years. It's clear that Sony, the developers, and the publishers involved make enough money from PS+ to be profitable. I don't think they'd bother if they weren't making more money from PS+ than they are normal game purchases after the initial rush has died off. What also needs to be considered is that they can't wait too long to bring a game to PS+ and still have the service be attractive to buyers; nobody is going to stay on PS+ if the games that come to it are so old that their value and the interest in them has dwindled.

The complaint he made can easily be applied to game prices as well, by the way. Any game somebody buys at release has a good chance of dropping from $40/$60 to half that or less within six months. Should an early purchaser complain about this price drop? Of course not--that's ridiculous. They should be aware of the trend and account for it. Buy games when you're willing to pay the price they're at, and accept the decision that you made regardless of any future sales or freebies. That's the only reasonable way to handle consumption of any kind.

So yeah, I'll stand by my statement; the only time you should buy a game on PSN, especially on Vita, is if you want to retain the game when your sub expires, you're willing to buy the game even with the chance it'll go free, or you want to play it immediately or close to immediately.
