Yes, dude can fly off the handle at times but I can't recall him coming at people wrong in here. But you and I reside in different universes so who knows. I do recall at that time him mentioning something about a lost gig. I asked people to lay off but of course that got shut down. He's a smart guy and passionate about games. Even has a some reviews on metacritic. Sucks he doesn't come around anymore (and we disagreed about trophies all the time). Is what it is.

I don't really think is the disagreement, but more how people jump into a frenzy when assumptions are made out of the bat. Some can dish it but not take it, so it depends. That said, exposing a controversial opinion makes a case for a rally to go and mock that opinion. Sure, we all do that and it's fun, but it sometimes engenders more stupidity.

Thanks for the recognition. I more or less keep up with all of the posts in this thread, but my new job has kept me busy enough that I don't post much. Been trying to step it up. But I might need to wait until after the world cup. You guys care way too much about that. This is 'merica, we don't watch soccer!

Good. Maybe he can actually watch Evangelion between now and the sequel's release, so he can understand why people assumed he was an Eva fan.

I know he claims he hasn't seen it, but the screenplay writer had to have. Either way, as a giant monster vs. robot fighting fan, he should watch it.

Sounds like maybe you're searching in the mode that allows clans? Try the one that matches everyone up randomly. You'll have equal chance at getting the gods on your team, and an equal chance at having people who are willing to play together to win.

We attack each other's opinions, sure. Nothing wrong with that. And we make fun of each other for some of our silly beliefs, habits and rooting interests. But shit doesn't get hateful over here.

I don't know. I'm relatively new to this thread, so I don't remember people who acted like that other guy - check my trophy history and you'll see how sporadic my PS3 gaming has been over the years. For the longest time that XBL thread was the one I always checked daily. It's still got some great posters, but man, it's got some brutal ones, too.

Oh - and Stellar, if you want to just finish MP as soon as possible you can be a medic/crafter and play a total support role.  Just run around collecting supplies, crafting, gifting, healing.  And you can skip some days if you want as long as everyone doesn't die.

But of course that's not nearly as fun as when you find yourself on a team that actually works together.

Edit: and if I wanted that stupid consecutive posting title, apparently early morning before work is the golden time.

Pacific Rim has Charlie from It's Always Sunny, Owen from Torchwood, Jax from Sons, Stringer fucking Bell, and some guy trying to be Iceman from Top Gun. Oh, and it has giant robots battling giant monsters. How can that suck?

I had zero expectations for Pacific Rim and left thinking it was the best action film I had seen in at least five years. Makes the Transformer films look even worse than they are if that's possible.

I havent seen it either. I havent seen a lot of movies in the last few years though since we had our daughter. My wife and I used to go to the movies on Saturday or Sunday mornings and catch 2 or 3 at a time. I miss those days.

If all you wanted from it was big robots fighting monsters, then sure, it's great. The movie spent quite a bit of time on other stuff, though, and the other stuff just wasn't very good at all. The whole issue "finding the perfect partner pilot" thing was absolutely ridiculous and stupid, especially.

 
I finished Brothers Tale Of Two Sons last night.
What a shitty last chapter or two and what a shitty ending. It just felt forced and crappy,  like it was trying really hard to draw emotion. That dumb boss fight and twist just didn't really fit in at all with the tone of the game and how he died was super stupid. I'd almost rather he fell off a cliff.

I agree, I did not understand the praise that one got for the story. It just seemed forced.

I too haven't seen it. It sounded like a mix between Godzilla and Gundam (which had me interested) but the feedback from friends was pretty negative for everything outside the battles so I took it off the radar. I will eventually watch it (I mean, robots fighting monsters... yeah I'm interested), but without any expectations of it being more than a typical old monster flick. Heck I enjoyed the Godzilla movie with Matthew Broderick, and I enjoyed the late 90's Lost in Space movie... i can probably stomach PR.

Hopefully Puddle is reverse cross-buy since I already have it on Vita. They were having some issues with that. Constant C looks cool, too bad zero people will buy it.

I'm trying to watch, snakey, but it keeps on playing for two seconds then buffering. I might have a shitty connection or something. Give me the cliff notes.. is it any good? I played the demo for V2 awhile back and it seemed like everything that happened between sniping segments was clunky/boring.

Yeah, SM was a lot of fun and definitely got left on a cliffhanger note. But SM was developed by Relic, which got bought by Sega when THQ went bankrupt. Who owns the rights now I have no idea; Deep Silver bought up a lot of the THQ stuff, which may include the rights to that series. If so I'm hoping they'll work on a sequel. We'll see.

I did play Kill Team recently. That was a bit mediocre. I should probably get around to playing the Dawn of War games, but each game has quite a bit of campaign content when you consider all the expansions.

 
Pier Solar HD is in the certification stages.  TraitorBro shared this info in the XBL thread but I guess he didn't feel like we were worthy enough for him to share the info/link in this thread too.

Yeah, that was the time. But people weren't bringing it up so I didn't know what his problem was until after this went on for several days. He wasn't retaliating from attacks, he was jumping people's shit for no reason. And I'm talking anybody and everybody.

This doesn't really change my opinion of him. Like I said, he was always respectful to me and even sent me info on something that he thought I'd be interested in just to be helpful. I was never on the receiving end, but I witnessed it and it was ugly... very ugly.

Xbox confirmed superior because of free Guacamelee :)

Pacific Rim does indeed suck as well, so boring and dull. Godzilla is better and that one wasn't that great either.

I once applied to write for that site admiralvic used to be a part of before his meltdown. Then he "interviewed" me. I remember telling him that I liked FFX13 more than Skyrim, but I didn't hate Skyrim, just different preferences. And then I was told that if I were to ever do reviews, I would have to cater to what people were expecting, and I could never say things like that. The site lost all credibility for me at that point.

I actually enjoyed the new Robocop quite a bit, they started with the original premise but took the story in a different direction. So many people hated because it didn't have the exact same story and wasn't hyper violent.
