there's actually been a disappointing lack of freaking out. mostly just narration. I've somehow watched or skimmed all of them I think which may or may not speak to how overpaid I am at my job.

The point of the series is see if these horror games are scary to me since I've avoided them my whole life, so I want to test my limits and see what happens. It's not to listen to what others tell me is or isn't scary since my tolerances are far different than people that love the genre. Sometimes I'll run into some stinkers that aren't scary and sometimes I'll be done within a few minutes since I haven't played them to know if they're as scary as it seems from the outside looking in. It's ranged from classics like Resident Evil and Silent Hill to Dead Space and Outlast, so I'm taking chances to see that certain games aren't so bad and others are as bad as I expected. I think I've got some good upcoming choices from the Steam sale and PS+, but I'm always open to suggestions that are easily attainable for PS3/Xbox 360/PS4/XB1/Wii/WiiU/PC.

Seeing that Stotch is mocking me for trying to face up to my fears further confirms my pleasure in keeping him on my ignore list.

I did get scared plenty with Outlast and Dead Space. Staple horror games for me.

yeah, dead space is a good jumper. I tend to walk verrrry slowly through that game. also that part in vita pets where the dog's eyes turn red and he looks at you and tells you to kill your sister was pretty jarring.

You wanna know why I don't have myself talking while i play games on twitch?  My voice sounds like a 16 yr old who can hardly talk lol.

I personally can't think of anything scarier than a game with a malevolent cepahlopod masquerading as a mammal.

It has really good jump scares, an unsettling atmosphere enhanced by the music, audio, and good visual design, and good controls that make it easy to get immersed in the world it offers.

 
Dammit PSNow... all the games I claimed before the update work except for the Ben10 game that I was playing with my son.  I get a "This game is no longer available" message.  I still don't have access to the beta forums so I'm left bitching about it here.

It's unbelievable that they had that much of an issue giving people access... what a joke.  I don't see why they didn't just open the forums to everyone after all the problems.  You're left with people talking about it everywhere except the one place they were supposed to be able to.

I think Dead Space 1 was scarier than 2 only because you didnt really know what was going on yet.  Once you found out it takes away some of the suspense for #2.  Then they went mostly full on shooter in 3 so it wasnt scary at all.  The original Dead Space was very psychological.
