You're right in that Amazon promotional credit can't be used to buy PSN credit, but I've used regular gift card credit to buy PSN credit through Amazon several times.

They definitely won't let you buy an Amazon GC with Amazon credit, which is annoying as hell. I've got $x in Amazon credit--why can't I give somebody else a giftcard for $y of that? :wall:

I will have to try it again then. I have some store bought Amazon GCs loaded on my Amazon account and last time I wanted some PSN credit I just bought a card at BB because I assumed it wouldn't work again. Perhaps the last time I tried it was some promo credit.

FYI, when you go to buy PSN credit, Amazon will always ask you to supply a CC number that matches a CC linked to your Amazon account to verify who you are, but on the final checkout screen, you'll see that your gift card credit (if you have any) is what's actually used as payment.

 
Well ... Shit... I gave mutant mudds a few more tries and after the finishing the ghost levels and going back collecting the diamonds or whatever they are and unlocking some more levels the game has finally become a blast. It took way too long to get fun but I'm glad I hung in there

Last time I cashed out for PSN credit on amazon I wasn't asked for a CC. I had enough amazon credit that I didn't need to use a CC. Dunno if they changed it or what because I'd had to enter a CC before that.

I also had enough Amazon credit to cover the cost each time, but I was still asked for a CC every time for some reason.

 
Looks like no Monday sale post this week either. I'm guessing that will become the norm.

Different topic: remote download. All I have to do is leave my PS3 on and select 'Download to PS3' from the Download List? I want the final episode of Wolf Among Us ready for me when I get home from work tomorrow.

Make sure it's either left on or you have Automatic Update set to 4-6 PM ET, so that it'll download them when it's up.

This game is going to be really popular, so you'd be foolish NOT to pre-order. I'm not looking like a fool on release day when Sony tells me I can't download it because the guy logging on before me got the last copy.

This is actually a good point. I had forgotten about the Beta access as a pre-order perk. Although, it's usually pretty easy to get Beta access for any game like this since a Beta is basically like a demo for games like this. The "Alpha" and "Beta" designation just lets them say stuff like voice work, net code is not final, etc. when there's poor reception for part of the game.

I actually wonder if the performance got a fair shake. I guess the character is supposed to be a robot, etc. so it might make a lot more sense and sound a lot more reasonable in the context of playing a campaign and seeing a storyline, etc.

I actually didn't mind his performance, but that wizard line stuck out like a sore thumb. the second i heard it i googled to see if had birthed a meme yet.... and it had.

i loved the alpha. i'm totally unsure if i should pick it up at $60 though, because, well, $60. same problem with TLOU PS4 (for the mp, plat'd it on ps3). Both are worth $60 imo... but I have limited funds for gaming and just can't quite commit.

TLOU is $50... rejoice!

I know I'll be getting Destiny day 1 because the alpha was awesome, I just hope that there is some sort of worthwhile campaign and not just traveling to random planets to do fetch questy stuff.

I guess it's a different situation if it's a game with multiplayer. Since I don't generally like/play multiplayer, waiting isn't an issue, but if you do it certainly makes it hard to wait. Either the community dies out or you're way behind the curve, or both.

Also, enjoying Arkham Origins so far. Not as polished as the first two, and I definitely won't be getting all the trophies (multiplayer, challenges, AND collectables...ugh). Has anyone played the Cold, Cold Heart DLC? I've seen good things and might be interested when I finish the game.

 
Finished KZ:M. That is one solid FPS. Amazing graphics period, let alone for a portable. Campaign is a bit short, but not unacceptably so for a MP-focused shooter.

Working on Dragon Fantasy now, about 40m in. Looks like that's a really easy plat. I guess that'll be my second unless I get completely turned off to it for some reason. Nice that it's short, too.

Destiny multiplayer seems like something that will be pretty decent to get into for new players for awhile - especially if you are not playing the competitive side of the multiplayer. Of course, if you want to play with specific friends who don't want a lower level player messing up their game, that might be an issue. If you're playing with random people, It should also be a big enough game that there will be a constant stream of new players for awhile. Given there is supposedly a 10 year plan for this and future games (not to mention DLC), i'm sure Activision/Bungie want to keep it accessible for newcomers.

 
If one buys the digital version, they can use it on two consoles, right? For a multiplayer game with no couch co-op (Destiny's biggest downer this side of alpha Dinklage), going digital to gameshare could make a lot of sense.

i like multiplayer, though i tend to get addicted to it. i can still visualize some counterstrike maps like I live there. but now I'm a parent, so don't really have time to play multiplayer anyway. wake up too early to stay up late, etc, etc.
