No worries fellas (there's no girls in here, right?), I'll follow this thread, too. I typically browse CAG on mobile and the extra clicks it takes to get here means I'll mostly post during work. Or I'll just be less lazy. No promises, though.
With some of the losses, I think you and Cainiac have to carry the anti-trophy banner. We will use trophy discussions as your version of a bat signal.

Hopefully this doesnt end up as a double post since the first one seemed to get lost.

David Gilmore announced a new Pink Floyd album is in the works. First album since 1994's Division Bell. It's going to be called The Endless River.

Dammit, I may have to take my stance back on "no more CEs for me"...I just realized looking at the Destiny CE again that I would be an idiot not to get the CE. $100=$80 gcu price, plus $10 kickback in rewards....and it comes with the $35 season/exp pass? And a steelbook? Dammit.

Sop got bored at work and compared the PSN thread top posters with this thread's top to see who we lost in the transition. Sorted into a few groups:

The "Tough (probable) Losses" group:

Eldritch - 1 post here, mentioned he probably won't be coming back here.

affa - mentioned he has no plans to post here.

Breakfuss - no mention of whether he plans to post here, but I'd doubt it. He and I rarely saw eye to eye but I know some of you guys enjoy what he posts.

The "Tough (potential) Losses" group:

Thermopyle - Only 1 post here, no mention of whether he plans to frequent this thread, but he does like his women "cute and curvy"

mpaullin - Only 2 posts here, but I think he'll come around once in a while.

jkam - M.I.A.

jcondon - Didn't post much but usually had good posts. Only 1 post here, no mention of if he plans frequent thread.

cleaner7 - Didn't post much but usually had good posts. Only 1 post here, no mention of if she plans to frequent thread.

The "Didn't Post Often But Were Cool" Group: (none of these people have posted here yet)

Did I miss anyone? Not too bad, I'm impressed most the regulars have made it over to this thread and our little community is still pretty alive. Hopefully jkam joins us if/when he ever logs into CAG again, and some of the "Didn't Post Often But Were Cool" group hopefully join us as well.

affa is a big loss. Eldritch not at all. breakfuss is eh.

Thanks, I haven't had Oreos in awhile, but Reese's Oreos? I want those meow.

Red rocks is definitely on my bucket list to see a show at someday. Have any of you been up her to Alpine Valley Amphitheatre for any shows? Its a beautiful place, I make sure to go at least once yearly for a concert (usually DMB). Summerfest just wrapped up in Milwaukee, and this is the first year I haven't gone thanks to work. But at least the Canadians are back to paying me!

As far as gaming, got 100% in mutant mudds. So glad the grannie levels weren't bad after the ghost and space levels being a little tough. Also finished Zombie tycoon 2 on my vita. It's a pretty fun game, wouldn't recommend going for the plat on it even though I did. Still haven't started that Dead space yet

Sorry for the long post, just catching up.

I saw that a few days ago and was downright giddy. I don't care if it is mostly ambient/instrumental stuff. It's new Floyd.

(Blah blah it's not really Floyd without Roger blah blah shut up)

My friend just called me and offered a free ticket to see Sound Tribe Sector 9 (STS9) this weekend. I guess they just got a new bass player so it should be a interesting show. I've missed their last few shows before the hiatus.
Just found out Les Claypol's Duo De Twang is playing before STS9. It's gonna be an epic show.

I havent figured out why some poeple think its hard to find the new thread in its far off forum.  Doesnt everyone use the little notification box at the top of the site?  Its available on mobile and PC versions so that shouldnt matter either.

breakfuss just found out about Dig Dug yesterday. Do you really think he can find his way around this site? It's like this site is full of elderly people now that refuse to go anywhere outside of their homepage.

Big Ultimate Games Sale on Xbox all this week.  Step it up PlayStation, I still need to buy...well, um....I'd take Portal 2 for $5.

I use it to see how high I can get the number before it randomly gets reset. Right now it's at 112,892 since last random reset.

I also never said that I wouldn't post in here, just that it's out of sight and out of mind for me.

Rice Crispy Oreos are the best. The coffee flavored ones are the cookie dough. I still won't try them cause I hate coffee. I got sick of the Reese's Oreos and threw the last few away. If I buy the original Oreo it's always the Double Stuff.

I do not have any idea who STS9 is, but if Les Claypool is playing I would do everything I could to make it to the show.

As far as Floyd, I am in the no Roger Waters no Floyd camp. There were a couple songs on Momentary Lapse of Reason I did enjoy. Division Bell was a hot mess, IMO.

Heard about this. Pretty exciting news. I have high hopes for it if they're throwing the Floyd name on it. Hopefully a nice tour to go along with it? Listening to the newest Black Keys album has made me thinking of some new Pink Floyd music. You can tell it was influenced greatly by them. I thought I was listening to Pink Floyd when I first heard that first song on the record.

I can do that. I'm Batman, though. Cainiac can be Robin if he wants.

I'm cautiously optimistic. Nothing I've read so far makes this sound like anything other than B sides from The Division Bell marketed as a new album. It should at least prompt a Gilmore tour which I will happily go see.

Flattered that I made the nice list rather than the naughty list, especially since I groused periodically about how long it too to work through the OT stuff on mobile.

I may come by, but burying this away from the deals threads makes that less likely. Maybe I'll bookmark it or something.

I saw Primus live about 9-10 years ago and it was pretty fucking awesome. I know it's not the same, but Les Claypool live in anything is titsapoppin.

People make it seem like it's really hard to bookmark this page. And for mobile, I just leave a tab open with this thread and use a different tab for browsing.

Also, has anyone tried the brownie filled chips ahoy? I bought some yesterday.

Wait, you don't like trophies?!??!? WHAT!?!?!?!?!?

First you mention Leinenkugel first when talking about Wisconsin beer and now this?!?!?

I expected more from you.
Division Bell isn't their best album by any means. But it's track for track better than Momentary Lapse. MLOR has too much of an 80's feel to it, while Division Bell holds up pretty well. MLOR had some good tunes, but if I have to listen to the whole album, I pick Division Bell.

@ GatorBeerGeek- Speaking of Red Rocks here's some STS9. They are an instrumental band with a lot of talent.

No, but I seen Oreo(?) filled Chips Ahoy when I got my last pack of Oreo's. They any good?

i'd find it much easier to post here if someone hooked me up with these rice crispy oreos i keep hearing about.  they aren't around here.  i took a chance on reese's peanut butter cup oreos and they didn't even come close to tasting like reese's pieces.  my wife likes them, i don't.

i'll try to post here.  my bookmark is to the deals forum.  i don't totally understand what this forum is for -  just to hang out with you guys? at least we can talk about dig dug here, i guess.

I can see your point on that. I think MLOR had the best couple of songs off the two albums, but as a whole I am not a fan. Division Bell just was a whole lot of meh for me. As far as MLOR sounding like the 80s, it was released in the 80s :)

If I wanted to listen to an entire Floyd album neither of those would be up for discussion though.

Wait, you don't like trophies?!??!? WHAT!?!?!?!?!?

Yeah Les Claypol doesn't fuck around with the bass. I've seen him multiple times and it's mind blowing on how great he is at playing. I've seem him also play with Oysterhead which is Trey Anastasio from Phish, Stewart Copeland from The Police and Les Claypol. That was one tour I'm glad I never missed. It was a magical night.

I'd send you some, but I haven't seen any around me lately. And this thread is essentially the PSN thread v2.0. Same shit as before, but without a mod nuking the thread because it's not the Steam thread.

You can send food throught he mail, I'm assuming? PM somewhere to send them affa, I'll hook you up next time I go to the grocery store.

I agree with Division Bell. I may be a bit biased towards it though because my sister got it when it first came out. I was 8, so it was the first Pink Floyd I listened to. Obviously nowhere near there best stuff though

It has been over 15 years since I saw Primus. They were actually touring with Offspring at the time (does anyone even remember those guys?). Watching Claypool play the bass like a lead guitarist is something I will never forget.

I'll be trying these next....Loooow expectations.

Any Les Claypol fan that hasn't experienced Oysterhead. This is from the show I went to 12.5 years ago.

I'd love to see Les Claypool. I had a ticket to Bonaroo one year that he was playing and was super excited for it. My friends ended up backing out and I had to sell my ticket.

Check out that Oysterhead video since you appreciate a great bass player. Also Mike Watt is another amazing bass player I've seen multiple times.

Ah. I expected the bar to be higher.
Yeah, bar was set at 2. Derextreme was the closest cutoff. He has 3 posts here so I assume he'll hang around.

Yea he's not cool anymore.
Agreed. He's always had the potential to be the next jay because he definitely calls people out on their stupid shit at times. But not liking trophies, boy I dunno...

How did you not know this?
No clue. I never remember the discussion coming up.

Jesus, ewww. I'd bottom out those expectations completely.
