I thought Last of Us Remastered was comin on July 19th and then i forgot and realized its comin on the 29th, i cried....big sweaty man tears

Like I said, coming in as the underdog is a huge advantage. If you win as the underdog you get nothing but praise, and if you lose as the underdog you get zero blame. It's the perfect situation.

I don't know they've looked like Brazil to me the whole tournament. Moments of brilliance but rarely looked it for an extended period of time. Their group was terrible with what Spain brought and they should have lost to Australia (who are one of the worse teams in the draw) save for late game heroics and an Aussie melt down. Against Mexico they looked fairly solid but had to get an 88' and 90 + 4' goal to come from behind. Oh and a massively blatant flop. Costa Rica played out of their minds and even though the Dutch seemed to have kept them bottled in their own half for most of the game couldn't crack them. Two saves in penalties is rare enough and it's something like a 17% chance to save a penalty based on World Cup history.

So I don't expect a team that's played down to the competition, not looked overly cohesive in four of five games, has longstanding rifts between players and coaches, and could have just as easily lost three of their games as a lock. If they play at the top of their ability and bring it all together then they'll be an incredibly dangerous team and I doubt if Argentina or Germany beats them it will be an easy out. Just surviving to this point obviously makes them dangerous and they're highly talented.

What they've shown from day one to now isn't a World Cup winning team if Germany or Argentina are playing at the same level. I definitely don't want to be in a 0-0 match at the 85' with them though.

off topic - I can't beat stupid mission 20 on sfxt. even though the cpu has to be on the equivalent of easy or something, 19 fights in a row is too much for my pathetic skills and attention span. at least mutant mudds has checkpoints and is therefore the better game.

also, psn forgot to do a sale this week that anyone would care about. how weird. maybe they're sleepy.
 
So uh...only 3 trophies left. One of which is at .03%. I guess that's broken? It's the "Don't Mess With the Rauser" trophy for killing a Laser Ace. I've never actually seen one of those. Other than that it's just "Beat All Missions" and "Pilot All 125 Combinations." which both sound tedious as hell...

Just make sure you get everything in the museum when you go through it the first time. You can go back to it immediately after, but not if you go to the following destination.

 
Well it was two votes for PvZ vs one sort of vote for MLB 14 so unless anyone else wants to chime in with some last moment votes I'll be getting the stream going shortly.

 
I know this is the unofficial PSN thread and all, but I just posted this in the XBL thread and thought I would share my experience with MS customer service today. But it is about the World Cup. Sorta.

Short version is I bought FIFA World Cup last week when it was $38.99 on XBL. Today it's $23.99. I did a quick chat with customer service to see if there was any way to get the $15 credit thinking there was no way possible, but they refunded me the whole amount so I could re-buy it but it's still on my hard drive and I can still play it after they refunded me.

So essentially MS gave me FIFA World Cup 2014. They win last gen, confirmed.

Wow, we both got free games today! I'm still waiting on mine and actually don't have access to my account still, but I'm sure it'll come eventually.

Eldritch you just gave me stage 4 brain cancer.

They beat defending champ Spain 5-1. Yeah, Spain's reign of boring terror is apparently over, but that's still impressive.

Australia was an obvious trap game, and if Cahill doesn't make that absolutely lucky and amazing 1st goal then Australia's confidence is completely deflated after Holland's first goal. I also don't call the 68th minute "late game heroics".

Confidently beat a physical Chile team when they only needed a draw.

Take the first 45 minutes off vs. Mexico due to extreme heat (100 degrees which obviously plays to Mexico's favor), give up a stupid goal to Gio and then absolutely dominate the last 35 minutes (no way they're losing that game regardless of the Robben "flop", as if flopping is something new to the sport)

Dominate Costa Rica for 90% of the game, with chance after chance that unluckily don't go in. 4 beautifully placed penalties later and they're in the semis.

See how easy it was to completely counter almost all of your points?

Have they looked perfect? No. But Argentina needed an injury-time goal to get past IRAN (!!!!) and very easily could have given up a game-tying goal to Switzerland. But please, keep writing them off.

Make sure if you play PvZ that you're a Agent Peashooter/Commando Footsoldier and go around 14-3 or so. Its really easy.

I just got back inside. My day was about to go from real bad by forgetting my moms bday and busy work day to a shit storm of suck. The power flickered here as it always does when we get a storm. The ac stopped blowing cold air and its 100 degrees of humidity outside. So I spent 30 minutes in the rain with a flashlight in my mouth swatting mosquitos and siders away from me fucking with the compressor. Then a frog jumped on me from nowhere and scared the living dick out of me. It preceded to sit under the compressor and refused to leave so when I fixed it I said fuck you asshole and buttoned everything up and turned the ac back on. I hope that frog fries! All this while a steady stream of drops would come down off the roof and onto my neck which is reallllllly annoying when your hot and tired and worried you won't have ac for the night.



Thank god for pills!
 
I'm starting to get a little bored with Steamworld. Right now I'm just farming all the gems and orb spots I can, only to realize I'll need to do that part all over again in another playthrough. How the hell can you beat the game in less than 2.5 hours, and get enough money and orbs for the other requirements in one playthrough? Wtf man.

2 of them are glitched because Vlambeer sucks. Laser Ace and Beat All Missions. I killed a laser ace too, so would have been cool to actually get the trophy I deserved. Other one isn't glitched, but yeah, tedious as fuck.

I bought a Dance Central DLC pack for like $2 and it charged my like $17, even though I had print screens of the xbox.com website saying it was only $2, and a confirmation screen saying the exact same thing. They wouldn't refund me. Microsoft can die in a fire.
