Bums joins my Destiny group, then leaves. What an asshole.
I joined and realized the USB doggle was with my ps3 and had to get switch out and get my mic. I accidentally clicked the party name. I figured that was you talking but didn't want to stay there while I got things switched. Next time I'll say what's up.

Yea so I just got word Earth Wind & Fire will be here in October. I know that's a far cry from Aquababes and other bands y'all post but I figured someone might care. One of my favorites of all time. Been putting off seeing them since forever.

Actually saw Lionel Richie two weeks ago. Lol, just about everyone there had 30 years on me but I gave no fuck. Had a great time, man. 70s gave us the best movies AND music.
I saw EW&F a few summers ago and they were fantastic! Still have it after all these years and they played a good 2 hour set.

Just watched this last night when I saw it was on Netflix. Good stuff. The Enrico Polazzo joke gets me every time.

So my girlfriend is going to Mexico for a week and I promised myself I am going to read Imperial Bedrooms by Bret Easton Ellis. Wish me luck.

I actually didn't get to catch what you posted but the auto-rifle is overpowered, too. And yes I'm being serious. One of them, at least... not sure which. All I know is i don't have it, as well as being without a shotgun.

I do use the radar but you act like it's super detailed or something. It's a bunch of blips that give you a vague sense and that's only if the person shoots.
So the shotgun is overpowered. The auto rifle is overpowered. How many guns do you think are OP? I haven't heard a lot of complaints about the weapons.... hope you aren't making excuses. Not sure how you haven't come across a shotgun yet between the shop and just playing the environment... you definitely need one to survive close encounters.

And c'mon man... everyone shows up on your map regardless of whether or not they're firing.

Between the guns and the map, something tells me you're doing this wrong. Get yourself a shotty, watch your map and get back to me.

I've seen someone talking about it here in this thread, so whoever has it is probably already done with it, but does anyone wanna play Portal 2? I just saw the game there and realized every time I've played it with a friend we'd only do like 1 or 2 testing areas in co-op. I'd like to just get that done.

We been trying to play a while now, and the servers have been down every time.

Oh shit. Didn't know about that.

Also, Bioshock (and Bioshock 2) have the fucking world's longest install times for PS3 games. Also, big ol' fuck you to the japanese guy who just tried to login to my steam account.

Good luck connecting to Steam. Pete and I have been trying to finish the last few trophies for a couple of weeks now.

edit: I would say "ninja'd" but forgetting to refresh the page when I'm distracted at work hardly qualifies.

I just need 1 more hug for the co-op trophies. They better fix the server soon.

heavy rains install was pretty bad. They actually gave you the origami paper and the directions on the install screen lol.

Just finished God of War: Ghost of Sparta and I have to say wow. So far I have played, Acension, Chains of Olympus, God of War HD and Ghost of Sparta and this one is possibly my favorite. I really liked Acension, but that might be because it was the first God of War I ever finished. 4 down 2 to go.

I've spent the last 5 hours trying to get an approximately 1 in 400 (.25 percent chance) item to spawn for a plat.

This is EVERYTHING wrong with bad trophy design.

I'd have quit long ago, but i'd already invested so much time into other trophies.  And once you're an hour or so in, you always feel like the 'next one' will be it.

And yes, I have a secret motivation for whining online about this right now.

Got the Stunt Master Trophy tonight. Was having a bitch of time with Air Sticky Bomb. Lots of people were saying it was easier on Good. So I kept healing people (I need to heal 250 for that trophy anyway). I went from evil to good. And was able to unlock this in like 4 tries then. I also found an easy way to unlock the Up close and personal stunt. Sort of cheap in my opinion but some of the other stunts were BS.

Find a cop looking to give you a mission (although it might with any cop). Melee him. Heal him. Do it four more times and the stunt unlocks. I did it like 4 times in a row. 50 XP each time too.

Down to collecting all the shards (have about 100 or so) and healing 250 people. For some reason I thought it was only 150. I have to be around 200 on this by now too.
That Stunt Master achievement is the reason why I stopped playing Infamous. I think I just need the Have a Nice Fall stunt left. I'm almost done with my good playthrough too.

Actually, getting all the orbs in Guacamelee is the reason why I stopped playing that game too. Damn Trophies. I went back and beat it today. Maybe that means I should revisit Infamous.

I'm sad to hear about the Portal 2 servers being crappy. My buddy and I were thinking of playing that again too.

Wow. That first big daddy didn't even stand a chance on survivor. He got stuck i nthe staircase as I ran away. Dude took a shitload of hits, though. I still have a shitload of ammo and 488 dollars at this point. Is this supposed to be hard? I had to leave behind a lot of first aid kits because I couldn't carry em all.

EDIT: Oh fuck. There's a 2nd one?

EDIT 2: 2nd one got stuck, too. Stupid ass AI. There's a 3rd. Okay, do I even have to kill all these?

If you haven't done all the Dark Water side missions I think that is your best bet for getting the Have a nice fall stunt. If you have there is a couple of spots you can still maybe it get. If you did all those you can try going to Zeke's and if you go right on the tracks and grind to the first Train station you can get 5 guys to spawn there. You have to go out to the first pylon in the water. Stand on it and then go back up to the tracks. 3 on one side and 2 on the other. Since you are good you have the shield thing and I think blast thing on good shoots them up higher. Anyway kill the 2 on one side. Run past them and down their stairs on their side. What you are trying to do is to get them with their backs to the stair well while you are on the platform. Get close to them all bunched up blast them into the air. If you get it right they will fall far enough to get the stunt. If not and there aren't three left you get them to spawn again by going back toward Zeke's and jump on the large boulders in water. They will spawn again. If you fail again (likely it is a crappy stunt) jump in the water and die. You will respawn at Zeke's. Rinse and repeat. I couldn't get it to work but I was playing as Evil at the time. You can also go left on the tracks (grinding on the 4th rail furthest away from Zekes) and eventually you will come up on 3 guys on the tracks. Blast them high enough and if they fall right you will get the stunt. If not go back on the tracks the way you can till you pass the sign with the 4 or 5 golden rings turn around and go back they usually respawn. If not back into the water and back to Zeke's.

This was probably the worst stunt for me. Much easier if you can do it from the top of a building in one of the Dark Waters missions. If you fail don't complete the mission die and respawn and try again.

Pretty much the only game I can think of that did that for me was the Sword of the Berserk game for Dreamcast. After that I sought out the anime series. Then picked up a few of the books where the anime series stopped.
I've wanted to play Sword of the Berserk for years. I guess I should look into a DC emulator for that. Not sure how well it's aged, though.

Looked for a video, it's not as bad as I'd expect at all. This is at 720p:

So, I'm pulling a Tyler and playing Don't Starve. Game is missing something. I'm just about done with it, just needing two regular character trophies and the two adventure character ones.

Those gold trophies were easy. Game would be 10x better with multiplayer.

Anybody plat Rainbow Moon? I've played about 5 hours on PS3, but switching to Vita to do the rest. Trying to decide if the plat is worth going for. Looks like quite a bit of the trophies are post-game leveling and such. What kind of time stretch did it add after finishing the game to get the plat? Disregarding the 100 hours trophy, which can be gamed easily by just holding down the controls.

Anybody know a list of the disc-only PS3 games? Having trouble finding anything like that and don't want to have to compare the PS3 games list to the PS3 PSN games list on wiki.  :wall:

Wanting to see which PS3 exclusives that are disc-only I should look into, basically, in order to start working towards finishing off the PS3 system so I can move to PS4 down the road. The games that are on PSN I'll just be patient on until I've gotten my PS3 backlog down further, or consider playing on PS4 if Now ever becomes feasible.

Here, I threw this spreedsheet together that should list whether a game is on PSN or not in the third column. I haven't double checked every listing, but it seems to be working: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_VGqhyscxcgPWr71iMRt8zdLy8hDhY2xYbGrvcIB_q4/edit?usp=sharing

EDIT: forgot to say you need to short sheet A-Z to have them separate from each other.

False alarm guys. My PS3 was going with GTA. I just came up and saw the monitor off, but then realized it was unplugged because I was using that outlet to charge my Vita. Derp.

But I got 157k RP overnight and went up to rank 57. Sweeeeeeeet.

Great, now I posted a sports gif for nothing.

Now that I finally know which Neptunia you're playing, can I ask why you won't just wait for the superior Vita version?

Because I've had the PS3 version for like 3 years and I need to play it so I can get rid of it. I won't play the Vita version, and I'm considering skipping the second and third games since there's not much I like about the first one so far.

Considering the first one on PS3 is almost universally considered the worst in the entire series, I'm surprised you didn't just try selling it and trying the third game, which is considered much better than the first and second. The games aren't that reliant on past installments' plots, so you wouldn't have missed out on too much.

Yeah, I know. I mean it isn't an awful game, but it's just so freaking slow. I hit the button to attack, and there's just a tiny, small micro second animation that wouldn't be noticeable if it happened once, but it happens every single time and starts to annoy me. We'll see how it goes, I'm only a few hours in. Sometimes I get like this with JRPGs, where at the beginning I hate everything about it, but by the end I'm so used to it that the flaws don't even show anymore.
