YBX cutscenes are skippable on the last of us ps3 and ps4. Just pause and hit skip cutscene.

Those movie ticket prices you guys mentioned are insane. Its $4 over here per ticket to a regular showing. 3D is like $6-$8. I always pay $8 to see a movie with my girl. We both dont like 3D all that much. All the ones Ive seen in 3D there was hardly any difference.
I was confused about what they were talking about because I didn't think movies cost that much. Where the fuck are movie tickets $19?

Just tried When Vikings Attacks.  How is this even a game?  Pick up, throw, repeat ad nauseum.

I think I need to play a really good game to get out of my middle-of-the-road funk.  But I kinda wanna play Metrico, Road Not Taken, and Dragon's Crown when we get them so maybe I'll stick with the short blah stuff.

Asuras Wrath?
I beat it and sold it a while ago. Loved it, kinda regret selling it because the used prices have held real steady and I'd like to buy it back. It's also not on PSN for whatever reason.

I'm thinking I'll make Mass Effect 2 my next game after the PS+ games.

Good on you for playing it though. It was a great game that flew under the radar. I would try recommending something else but I have no clue what you have and have not played.

It's all good. I'm just kinda in that limbo state where I don't want to start anything big because of the Plus games coming on Tuesday, but I want to play something.

Yeah Asura's Wrath definitely flew under the rader. The combat was really enjoyable and the story was off-the-wall fun.

I dont know what it is about the game that grabbed me but its one of the best games Ive played the past few years. My GF tells me I'm stupid cause I liked the game but dont care too much about Dragon Ball Z. She says its a ripoff of DBZ. But whatever both are good in their own ways.

Shit. I finished everything in the story for Arkham Origins and totally forgot to go back and talk to Alfred, now he won't say shit. Anyone know if it carries over in new game plus or do I have to start over and listen to everything I've already heard again?

I haven't been to a movie at a theatre in a couple of years, but last time I went these were pretty much the prices:
Matinee $8
Normal: $14
3d: 18
3d IMAX crap: $22

Ya, now you know why we don't really go to the movies.

When I went to see Dawn of Planet of the Apes, it was $17 for two people for a regular showing! I'm in upstate NY, btw.

Looks like I might catch up with Cleaner and leave last place; 3k to go on TT leaderboard.

Also, I think Cleaner took Thermo saying he was coming close to passing her up as a challenge, as she's moved up some 2k-3k points from when I lasted checked a day or two ago :whee:
I've been in a gaming funk and decided to work on some of the PS+ PS4 games while I've been in bed sick. That bumped me up a bit.

I don't normally pay extra for 3D but went all out for Guardians of the Galaxy. The XD 3D version cost $14.25 and has the bigger screen which is the closest to an IMAX we get in the smaller cities. That was catching an early showing. I usually go for matinee first showing which is cheapest at $6. Then it jumps up a few dollars depending on 3D/time of day/day of the week, etc.

Yeah I don't know why I am surprised last movie I saw in the theater was Hangover 2 or Dinner for Schmucks I don't know which came out first, but I hate going to the movies. I actually walked out of Dinner for Schmucks.

Pete, whatdoya got for shards now? I'm at 349. Blah. Started at 260 this morning.

Good news is I think I have a bead on where 350 is. Will try tomorrow.

Any good guides for commonly missed shards? I'm pretty sure mine are in the first two districts, like that narrows it down.

I never found a great guide for the last 4 or 5 shards I needed.  Most of the ones I missed were on the coast lines of the islands.  2 were at the end of piers on the back of buildings or storage containers hanging over the water.

On the first island one many people miss (I didn't this time) was in the 4 level parking garage.  I believe it is next to the tallest slanted building (which has one at the top of it).  Anyway in the garage there is a electrical panel.  It glows blue just like the shard hidden in it on the left side.  I missed this years ago at one of my attempts at getting all 350.

Then if you jump down from Zeke's and go right on the tracks to the first train station there are some pylons in the water.  On the last one there is shard.  Another frequently missed one but I remembered this one from my previous attempts.

There was also one way up on the prison that people frequently miss.  It is up high enough you can't ping it from the ground I don't think.  There are a few youtube videos that show that one too.

did u load all patches? I am 99% sure they had patched it when I tried the game. I remember the item screen loading being fixed.
It says the latest version is installed when I do "Check for Updates."

BTW I saw Guardians of the Galaxy last night. Really good movie. I know nothing about the comics, but it did a good job of standing alone, was consistently funny, did a great job focusing on characters, and didn't waste a lot of time with fight scenes. Highly recommend it.

Anyone here a big fan of the original Shining Force? I found some mods to help with some of the AI issues or provide a more hearty challenge. Just wondering if anyone here had any experience with any of them. Doubtful, I know, but thanks to Tyler's age poll, I know a lot of you are old fucks like me, so maybe there is a chance.

Did you download all the patches? If you did, I think that gives you the option to install the game to the hard drive which cuts down on those load times. I don't think the game forces you to install though. So check out the Options/Settings and see if you have an option that says "Install Game" or something like that.
Good call. Installing now. Hopefully that will clear these problems up...plus it should help with the constant very loud disc-thrashing the game does. :(

I need to get to that one soon. Started the intro. It's way way way over the top. Seems fun outside the stupid cursor-based ranged attack thing.

I liked it, but never finished any of the Shining Genesis games even though I played all three. That's actually on my list for if another Vita exploit ever comes out and I can emulate on it.

Destiny of Spirits getting closer to 100%. Need 7 more.

:D/

Man I am so lucky I live in CO, I would freak if movies were that expensive!! We have a united artist theater that every Sunday all movies are discounted no matter what time, $6 for a movie, 9.50 for 3d, we also have an AMC that does 7.50 Monday through Thursday, then we have Alamo draft house that does a full service meal for 10.75, and $9 for a matinee!!

Did I also mention I got a $150 gift card to bestbuy for singing up for direct tv?!?!? 😃 now I actually have money for GTA and Shadow of Modor!

Y'all got them theaters by you that have big-ass leather recliners for all the seats. Those are titsapoppin. Plus all seats are reserved so you don't need to worry about arriving right at start time and having to sit in the front row.

Theater by me with it does $5 Tuesdays where every show is $5. They're remodeling now so you can order real food and drinks from your seat before the movie. Like steak and burgers and shit. The future is scary.

Also, all this shard hunting talk kinda has me inspired to go back and collect the last few orbs I need to plat Enslaved. Y'all got any good guides for those (besides PST.org)?

I hate that you don't know exactly how many you need for each level, just know the percentage acquired. I'm sure I only have a handful left to find.

Oh god, Breakfuss and affa engaged in a debate in the shitty PSN thread. They'll have a 1500 page novel written by the end of the week.
Why don't you stop gossiping like a little bitch? One moment you say the thread is dead and the next people are having too many debates. Guess we should drone on and on about our trophy count and backlog.

Frisky hasn't mentioned you (or anyone) since your dramatic "departure" so why not leave that man alone? It's weird now.

Good to hear it is enjoyable, I will probably rent it since it has such good word of mouth. Whenever I see the preview though, even though I see the actual actors, I immediately picture it as an animated flick. Everyone just kind of talks kind of goofy and the music reflects it too.

You need a membership too though, right?
Yeah...without a membership there's a surcharge. They do have one-day guest passes, though.

This might be YMMV from what people are saying in the thread. I know they discounted Wii Us & X1s the same way and those got snatched up pretty fast so I figured I'd pass along the info. It looks like they might be phasing out games altogether. Not sure.

It is worth it, even though the AI just is not very good. But the story is fun (and not *quite* as cliche when it came out), the characters are cool and I love building up a bad ass army in SRPGs. Almost any PC can run the game if you want to emulate it there, plus you would be able to try out some different mods to spruce the game up. Shoot me a PM if you ever start it up and I can give you some info.

SAMs club over here gives a free one day membership not sure if it's ymmv but could work for some :)

Oh, I could play it on PC. Legally, even, as I have the Genesis packs on Steam. I just don't want to play it there. :)

Wasn't El Shaddai alot like Asura's Wrath. I played them back to back but both were really trippy artsy crazy. I remember Asura's Wrath was like kratos cuz that dude had some untamed rage.

Just finished the main story of Injustice Gods Among Us on PS4.  Looked really cool and had a interesting story.  It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

Anyone want to get the buddy list trophy.  Just have to enter practice with someone on your PSN list.

Cool, hopefully it improves everything. I haven't actually played Bayonetta on my PS3, just on 360, but it's an awesome game and if you can get it running even moderately well then it's definitely worth a playthrough or 3.

They both have pretty trippy art styles but El Shaddai has a lot more platforming and I don't find the combat as gripping. To be fair I've only played a couple levels of El Shaddai so far.

There are still lots of load times, but I haven't seen any trigger for items since installing and the load times in general feel shorter.

I do wish the game had been optimized and designed better, though. If I die I shouldn't be reloading to play the same fight, especially not before the cut scenes prior to said fight. And the game definitely has that problem. :(

Fun, but I really am not very good at the game. I just finished chapter 2 and I'm 2h15m in for playtime.

I need to get this too and can get on at any point today. Just let me know
