I like Stick It To The Man, but I'd go with Strider. It's definitely more "gamey" and a nice little throwback. I probably would have beat it by now had I not assumed checkpoints saved your game. Booted it back up and had to start from the beginning of the stage and said fuck it. So be mindful of that.

I'm basically doing all the cross buy indies on my Vita, finishing the few PS3 games I care anything about (Batman, The Walking Dead Season 2) and just going through the PS4 plus games while waiting for Destiny.

I like catching flies, ripping one wing off, and letting them hop away. It's in the hopes that they'll live on and breed true into a race of one-winged flies that can only hop.

Pretty sure that's a bit psychotic.

I have played a bit of both and enjoy them. Strider is the better game to me, but if you're feeling a slower paced, more adventure style game, then give Stick It a shot.

 
Wasn't someone here saying something about how Far Cry checkpoints weird, so like you shouldn't do side missions in the middle of a main mission in case you die you lose all your progress, or something like that?

Yea, no shit, but I don't think there is any actual malware, I think it is just something in the advertising that is causing that alert to trip. I browsed around it the other day and did a check on my PC afterwards. Came up clean and has continued to since then.

yeah it is most likely the flash internet ads on those sites that caused it.

yeah, fc3 is really slow, especially in the beginning, when you have to do fetch quests to upgrade your gear to make your character stronger. since i like to play the rambo style in games. i died many times during certain missions

i had the most issue with the sharks and tigers in far cry 3, until later when i have most of the upgrades. i hate the stealth system in all of ubi$oft's game, especially a game like far cry 3, where it is a basically a fps. you should have the options of going all rambo style, but still restrict you with missions that forces you to use stealth to complete it, or else you fail if you go in guns blazing.

It's almost certainly an ad, so if you're using an adblocker (which if you aren't, get on that) you should be fine. I'd recommend a quick scan afterwards with HitmanPro if you're worried, but there shouldn't be an issue (this is especially apparent since the warning only pops up on certain pages instead of the whole site, which makes it pretty obvious it's just a bad ad they need to deal with).

Sorry, just got back on. They are likely bald-faced hornets (which are really just a type of yellow jacket) but it's really hard to tell from that quality picture you shared. Grow some balls and get closer for a better picture. We're more scared of mormons in NC than insects. Do they look like this:

Yeah, got like 2400 that round and almost jumped from 39 to 41. It's cool, it worked out OK and it would have been my last regardless, I was getting tired of it after 3 hours. Yeah, I added a few of the guys from today, so we should be OK whatever day you guys wanna go again.

Guess I'll go Strider, since it has a "throwback" feel and Stick is more indie-like. Then I can sumerge in indies for the rest of the month on PS4.

I'm sorry for not helping on Bioshock 2 laundrymatt and everyone else. I slept all day cause I was feeling really sick. Just now woke up. Feeling a bit better now. I actually wanted to boost my levels too. fuck.

It's all good, we were wondering about you. LIke Bums said, probably go again during the week or next weekend, or both. I think we have enough players on retainer now to do it whenever. Info for future boosting: Do not count on randoms on Sundays :) All the people playing on my friends list (that aren't CAGS) haven't been on since last night.

What days/times are good for you guys?

Loved Far Cry 3.  One of my favorite PS3 games, even though I played it way late in the game.  It was slow at times, but had fun throughout.

Anyone gotten the Hot Shots Vita plat?  Some of these crown challenges have made me want to toss my vita across the room. 

I also have done the super backspin shot multiple times and had it hit the pin, but the homing shot doesn't trigger.  Does the ball have to hit the green first, then spin back in order for it to work?

I think Stotch did. I only need the double eagle trophy.

The super backspin can activate if you hit the pin but it's not a guarantee even if you get a perfect impact. There's a power threshold that needs to be met when you take the shot that's dependent on the spin skill of the character. So a little 10 yard chip in will probably be harder to get the super spins to activate.

Try using the girl (I think she has the highest spin rating) and some spin equips. Maybe mess about in practice mode to get a feel for how far you have to be away from the pin. (or not, it would probably be frustrating to get the damn thing in a mode that doesn't count for the trophy).

I think for the spiral and backspin ones I kind of cheated a bit by putting off the green into the fringe on an easy green to give myself an easy straight shot at it. I'm sure if I saved a replay of a double bogey it would be one of those shots. The topspin is a lot easier and useful for me.

Yeah, I've been playing it all week, but didn't sync my trophies. I'm at the final boss, but have 99.3% map completion and need 99.8% before going into the final dungeon. So right now I'm just going all over the map again looking for that 0.5%. I got all quests and all harvest points, and I'm thinking I have all chests except the ones in the last dungeon. So my hard playthrough will be one missable trophy I completely screwed up, and all items.

Good game, but the 100% map thing is annoying to me.
