I agree, especially since that person has applied multiple times and has been turned down, and moreso that the person who put those features into Enhanced Steam currently can't afford housing where he lives and is getting ready to move into a cardboard box (hopefully with broadband!).

Either way, I'm glad to know that a few of Enhanced Steam's best features are making their way into Steam and that over a million people who have downloaded Enhanced Steam will go "whoa, Valve totally ripped off Enhanced Steam." Quite the compliment, actually.

The good news is that I'm sure they won't be using ALL of Enhanced Steam's features, so I'll still have something to do. The bad news is that it may take a couple of weeks to get everything working right after this update goes live.
+1, I hope things work out for you. It's easier for Steam not to employ you so that you'll be doing all their testing for them with nothing coming out of their wallet.

It looks to me kind of like a mash up of The Secret World and Diablo. Apparently, you can sign up for the alpha test.

Also "This game does not require download of the Origin client".

Wait, what?

Also, I found this amusing, considering the current battle royale going on in the Humble thread...

"Shadow Realms ... it’s finally bringing the magic of tabletop RPGs to the digital realm."

"Shadow Realms is a multiplayer action RPG"

IMPOSSIBLE. LIES. It's not a TRUE RPG!

I thought the first two did make it to PC. Then after that...
Solid 1 and 2 were ported to PC, not to mention Metal Gear was a PC franchise to begin with (the first games wereon the MSX computer system).
You're both right. I consider it as console franchise, because, if you overlook the MSX ones, the rest of games was always available genuinly on consoles. Anyway, that wasn't the point of my post.

While ES is certainly fantastic and I can't live without it, it's rather silly to assume Valve is copying features directly from ES. Everything they have added thus far as been logical and requested billions of times, it just so happens that Jshack beat them to the punch. Valve moves slow as hell, we all know this. I doubt this some nefarious plot to steal the hard work of Jshack. Gaben is running out of shit to do and it's time for them to start focusing on the UI and website overhaul that people have been asking for an eternity.
Nope, the they need to head off more people using Enhanced Steam to get features that really should be part of the Steam Store, because once people start using ES they get the great, lowest right now, lowest ever, and bundled X many times info, that reduces purchases on steam. Valve would have exactly these statistics in the weblogs because your browser rats out what addons you're using.

I don't necessarily think it is a plot to steal the hard work of jshack, but I do feel as though his work may have motivated them to move a bit quicker. As more and more people use a web browser and ES to browse the Steam store, Valve loses more money and so do devs. The more data consumers have to make informed choices, the lower prices they end up paying. Thus Valve has an incentive to improve their client to provide some of the less damning info, and try to keep the user base within the client for purchasing.
This!

In fact, most of these features exist in Enhanced Steam solely because they make sense on a storefront like Steam. Almost every feature I code, by the time I'm done I think to myself "Why doesn't Steam already have...?" Like, "Why doesn't Steam already have an empty cart button?"
This! I tend to miss quite a few of natural ES features when I'm using the client, and thinking wtf is the X button/info.... oh right...

MMO RPG, ha, that's a good one.

I guess this question is for asheskitty seeing as how she's the racing enthusiast here. If I'm wrong and she doesn't have it then it's an open question to everyone. Whatever. Anyway the question is. Is it worth it to buy the complete version of Ridge Racer Unbounded or are the extra cars not that much different from what's in the base game? If it's just about aesthetics then I'm not interested. Thanks.

I personally liked the extra cars, but they are not necessary. Personally I'd spend the extra $1.70 on the them, but I can see where a cheapass who has waited this long wouldn't. They handle differently.

Yeah I guess I can see that. Thanks maybe I'll just go for it.

So where can I go to browse trades and stuff again? I know about TF2Outpost but I remember there were two or three others. I'm looking for a particular game but want to make sure I get the cheapest copy available.

That's the one I usually use. It's an offshoot of Steamgifts.com.

I sometimes check the tf dispenser too just because it's quick and easy to do but the prices there in the whole have not been great lately.
I avoid Steamgifts... all I can find are people offering indie bundle keys. I prefer places where you can search offers and inventories, and send trade offers instead.

Assuming the profiles are public and you search the right threads, it is possible to do this.

But keys are much more popular.

I wouldnt say that at all (Keys are more popular). Obviously, if all they are offering is bundle stuff, then its going to be keys, but there are a LOT of very good traders on there who have nothing but gifts. Its just a drag searching b/c they cant list everything in title obviously.

As do I, I'm +234 on there lol, I would say that's my homebase for trading.

Other places to try are things like Dispenser.tf, thats all gift trading (usually for TF2 keys and stuff like that). Prices are hit and miss though. Steam Game Swap subreddit, and the Steam Trading forum on "Steam Forums" are outlets as well, but I usually look at those last.

I have like 30+ trades at SGS, and I get offers, but people tend to ignore me after I add them. I'm waiting on a guy who wanted some stuff and offered PayPal... I accepted his invite, sent him a message, and he hasn't replied in four hours. x_X

All I want is to get something before it gets yanked from the store and prices go through the roof.

I visited that site for Overkill's Walking Dead game.  The audio was something else.  Why announce a game two years in advance though?

Secondly, don't they know that the zombie game market is over-saturated?  Want my attention?  Want me to get excited about your game?  Let me play AS a zombie (or group of zombies)  that  is set on finishing off the last remnants of mankind after an apocalypse.  At least that would be something different.

Got a quick question for anyone who enjoy the shmups.

I already own the eXceed Collection (with zero plans to try the first one), but are the two Gund... games and Hitogata Happa worth it as well to at least try?  Is one of them far better than the other two for a person looking for a few fun hours?

Thank you!

It's easy enough on SteamTRADES (not gifts) to just put the title of a specific game in the search box and then click through and see what price they want for it in the OP. I don't even see the bundle stuff there because I search for specific games, I don't browse.

And yeah you do have to add the person on Steam to arrange the trade but I've never had a problem doing that and you can check their feedback there to make sure they are reputable.

new Indie Gala is up and its not bad...Id link and list games but someone that likes, likes can do that
In4 the Truffle game and whatever other junk I don't own, but of course will wait for someone (Detriure?) to host a HH.

I knew there was a reason I kept passing on RIPD every time it went cheap, besides that it sucks.

I can already play Metal Gear in 1080p 60 fps on my PS4.  I do want Metal Gear cardz though, Kojima felt sorry for u pc peasants, hehe

Glad I passed on RIPD. And Leisure Suit Larry.

Actually an OK bundle... for HH price...

Edit:

And in true HH style... buy button isn't working right now...

I'm looking forward it it, since I've recently sunk 15 hours into God Mode.

So many CAGs own God Mode, and yet only dfg, Sifu, and I have actually played it. It's a nicely balanced arena horde shooter.

I've heard it's great as a multiplayer game but bad as a single player one. I'm -really- surprised RIPD is in this bundle since it's a movie licensed game... this is definitely Happy Hour material. Card sellers are going to drive the price of the cards on that one down fast.

I've been waiting for Larry Reloaded to hit a bundle, too. It's the only currently available games in the series that I'm missing.

It's hardest when starting out -- best to do that with others... your initial upgrades make it much better, but it's hard to afford those without the bonus from finishing a set of arenas. Once you're past that hump, it's good MP or solo.

I kickstarted LSL Reloaded, I haven't played much, but I'd hold it up as a case of kickstarter rewards taken too far (people buying a character, etc).

I kickstarted it as well...I beat it a few months ago

They are probably bundling Leisure Suit Larry so the CEO of Replay can shell out cash for showing a 16 year old girl a video of her boyfriend banging another dude.

Al Lowe left because of it....so any other Larry iteration will be without Larry's dad.

Replay will probably never make another Larry game again. Codemasters will probably take their license away once it expires (just like they do whenever ANY of their licenses expire... they're just as bad as Activision.)
