It's kind of a guilty pleasure of mine. Funny in that network TV kind of way, I suppose (silly jokes where nobody's feelings get hurt). It is definitely overrated, but I greatly prefer it to the laugh track crap that gets absurd ratings (BBT, Two and a half men, etc.)

I liked this then realized you said BBT is overrated. I forgot how much some nerds hate shows about nerds. I mean that in the nicest way too. I really did like your red and white striped shirt.

Oh. Well, I forgot which level it is but there's a part when you're in a hangar and being flanked from every imaginable direction. Lol, I was looking forward to you bitching about that but I guess it didn't give you as much trouble as it did me.

Btw, another 'Jimbo' popped up in the PSN thread. It's strange.

I have been messing with you. I did not like Killzone. Boring and frustrating at times. That hangar part was pretty exciting though if not a little frustrating.

Thats fine. I just remember Frisky hating it too and after seeing his posts and then hearing his voice on one of his videos I imagined he hated the show because he was a real life version of Sheldon.

What are you playing on? PS4? PS3? It's not really lag. On PS3/PS4 it supports 2-stage flippers. I.e. you can press in the trigger partway and it will only flip the lower flipper. Press it further and it flips the upper flipper. You can use this to your advantage, but I highly recommend using the bumpers instead of the triggers because the triggers exaggerate the difference between partway and fully pressed. That can feel like lag.

I feel like they improved it on the PS4. The gap between partly depressed and fully depressed seems shorter. Or maybe they updated it to make it better. Or maybe I just got use to it. Not sure.

You can use unblock-us.com or a similar service (I mean you need mlb.tv too) to get access to your local teams. That's what I use. It's pretty cheap.

Having said that, the service on mlb.tv has been pretty terrible this season. It freezes, jumps around, etc. It's pretty infuriating at times.

Haha that's never going to happen. I hate the Cardinals so they're destined for greatness every few years since the sports gods absolutely hate me.

 
I might have to go back to OlliOlli and play some more of it. I've got an A rank on psnprofiles with only 4 of 20 trophies but with it opening to PS3/PS4 that will drop.

mpaullin's right. It's not the best thing ever but it's better than a lot of stuff on network TV right now. Definitely overrated though. They replaced Seinfeld with it in syndication on Fox in the evening here which is a travesty though.

Playing on PS3. And yeah I noticed that if I pushed the button in hard enough I could get the 2nd flipper to go.

Still the main flippers felt a bit laggy to me. I kept mishitting the ball right off the tip of the flipper.

Doesn't that rank correspond to the amount of time playing it? I only have one trophy for Mercenary Kings, but it has an A rank for me on PSNP and I can't think of any other reason for that high of a rank.

It use to be the case on PS3 that if you had the PS3 running at 1080p that did impart some lag. I switched ours to 720p and I think that fixed it. I thought this issue had been resolved, but maybe not? Try setting it to 720p. Actually I think what you do is set it to NOT go to 1080p. Or something I'm forgetting how it works on PS3.

PS4 plays butter smooth, but you don't have a PS4 any more. Dummy. Vita also plays well, but the screen is so tiny. It's hard to play some games on there as a result.

Rank is how you compare to the completion percentage of other people that are charted with the game. If the majority of people get 50% of the trophies and you have ~50%, you'll have a C. B and A are above that, with S for the plat/100%.

Edit: As an example, the average completion rate for OlliOlli is at 10% right now. I'm at 20%, which is why I have an A rank in the game.

Your grade rank is your completion % vs the average. It must have a seriously low completion % on psnprofiles.

EDIT: I am not a fan of Therm right now.

No, it has to do with trophies. It grades on a curve, based on how many people have how many trophies within the game. Apparently a TON of people started it but have zero trophies in it, so one bumps you all the way up to A.

Looking at the trophies, the most common on is at 14%, so that makes sense.

 
I'm one that started Mercenary Kings and didn't get far. The game just didn't grab me. I mean to go back to it at some point, but I don't know if that will ever happen. Send paypal as thanks.

Wasn't it a PS+ freebie? I am guessing a ton of people fired it up and didn't like it. Since there apparently is no trophy for booting it up, that is what you get. With that low of a percentage, it is likely also tough though.
