If you're farming for loot drops and hoping to get them as rewards, you're playing the wrong game. Not sure why you and Snakey keep expecting Destiny to be a loot game. As it's been said a thousand times in the past week, the best way to get new gear is to buy it with marks, exotic coins, or completing strange bounties.

For real, legendary equipment should be much more available. That's what makes it legendary, that everyone has it.

Idk, I did it. It depends of you really want the plat or not. You can fast forward through the talking if I remember correctly.
 
I really don't understand the TT "Request Update" feature. It either says there's nobody ahead of me and updates immediately, or it says there's 14 people ahead of me and nothing ever happens at all. I'd think it just was having trouble processing trophies, but the queue never gets longer either which I would expect in that case.  :whistle2:k

 
Oh I should have checked my fantasy team this week. But then again, I don't really care. It's really tough to check/update something when you don't care. I'm still not sure why I agreed to play. Anyone want to take over my team?
 
Apparently our instance glitched out though, we were supposed to get more loot than the reward simply gotten upon his death but the game wigged out and wouldn't allow us to revive the couple who were dead and it never advanced further. Known issue and uncommon but of course it happened to us. Hah. We're about to go back in on hard difficulty to get the beginning chests until we hit a wall and are shut down.

I say yes, but I loved the storytelling in both that and 999, so I enjoyed going for all of the endings and the plat. Like CrazyDiamond said, you can fast-forward through all of the text you've read already.

Rude remark notwithstanding, I see what you're saying now. A little confusing since pre-level 20 the game is very much driven by loot. Heck, I'm just under 24 and it's been purely through drops and stuff mailed to me. I haven't farmed or done any of that tedious shit since, you know, I primarily play PvP. But thanks for the advice, I'll head over to my faction once I hit level 2.

Not at all what I was saying. I just think drops are a little anemic and random. I don't even know what a legendary is. But if I'm understanding what he said mission loot isn't the way to progress at this point, which is nice. I won't care as much once I reach the end content/raids, which I guess is what I see others complaining about.

Noooooo, we definitely died. We had a lot of attempts and wipes on the last boss past few nights until we rocked it. But yeah I'm definitely down to help. Hoping they send some kind of compensation for never reaching the reward and mission complete screen. Its a known issue on the bungie forums. I just posted our raid team in the thread along with the other people affected.

yeah dude you have to finish it all.
It doesn't even end end it's a cliff hanger to a 3rd game. but still, you need to finish it. It gets crazy. the whole thing is meta where your 'time chart flipping' is actually part of the plot where your character is one who can flip dimensions and you need to find things out and then die and then be reborn and you are like how the fuck do i know this iv been here before. it is crazy tripped out and you need to finish it.

Nothing says "this isn't a loot game" quite like getting your first and only legendary piece of armor for a Hunter class...when you are a TITAN!

That sounds pretty cool. I may actually go for the platinum eventually.

I went to visit my mom after work and she fucking made oatmeal raisin cookies. No joke. I was laughing, especially since she hardly bakes anymore. They were good.

Yeah, my understanding is that we won't find out the new games this week. That's why I was bitching about the five Thursday'd September (when I really meant five Tuesday'd September) because it means 5 weeks in between finding out Septembers's lineup and October's lineup.

Seems like we're getting the reveals more frequently on Wednesday though, so that's nice at least. October's lineup will probably be announced 10/1.

I get weapons and weapon engrams 85% of the time, while my friend is the exact opposite. I've always been inclined to believe that in games with drops theres a hidden stat that gets rolled when you create character that makes you more inclined for certain items. I've noticed this in many titles.

Wow... didn't realize that there wasn't any matchmaking on the weekly strike.  It put me in there solo so I decided to see what I could do with it and I got to the end but there's no way I can finish him off.  I think I got him down to about 2/3 health, but with no one else in there everyone is focused on me and it doesn't take long for them to tear me up. 

I assume everyone has already done the weekly strike, but if any of you feel up for it hit me up.
