I don't know why you guys think you need to farm. I havn't farmed at all other than running around grabbing chests/resources to upgrade my stuff. You can just buy legendary/exotic weapons and armors and also get them free through bounties. I jump in people's games and see them farming that nexus spot and that cosmo cave and it doesn't seem very efficient/fun. I just do the patrols to get the bounties/resources and daily public event gold. You will get alot more just by playing the game and doing strikes and playing crucible rounds. Iv been maxed on V/C points for the week, but I always do them any way for rep.

Got my bad juju. 'Suited for War' :) now just to upgrade my legendary and exotic weapons all the way...

oh and that bad juju doesn't do void damage, that was a mistake.

I wish they would let us equip multiple exotics. I have an exotic shotgun and exotic gauntlets just sitting there...

Yay. Now all I have to do is grind somewhere between 500 and 900 teleports for the Velocity Ultra plat. How exciting.

Finally almost done with Ys: Memories of Celceta. Just need to knock out the Holy Beast and then run through the last dungeon. I'm not sure how they managed to make a fast-paced action game feel like it drags on forever, but the game certainly does that.

It creates a GIANT randomly generated world. you can explore outward or journey downward to explore into caves to look for precious minerals. Then through a very deep crafting system you can create all manner of tools and circuits, mine car tracks, etc. It's virtual LEGOs basically.

Can confirm, Vanquish is the shit. Read up the alternate method of upgrading weapons which is to pick up a weapon of the same type when your weapon of that type is full of ammo. This results in either NOT using your favorite weapons or forcing you to switch out your partially used weapon A for a DIFFERENT weapon type B that you don't already have equipped, pick up the fresh weapon A in weapon B's slot, then pick up the original partially used weapon A to do the upgrade. I can't tell you how many times I was criss-crossing across an active boss fight juggling weapons to do upgrades. Then if you die you lose all that and have to do it all over again. If just picking up a weapon that you already had equipped LVLed the weapon regardless of how much ammo you have, that would be far less tedious. So far that's my main beef with the game.

 
Today has been a pretty good day. The A's won in extra innings. The Niners lost. Seattle vs Denver game was great. I did my fastest 5k today. My new shoes don't suck. My girlfriend is making this amazing chicken shawarma dinner and then after we eat, we are going to play Katamari Forever and watch the Sunday night game.

Velo, where the hell did you get that gear? I can never buy shit that good, all the vendors only sell me stuff that has a max of 18 light and you have stuffy that has 23 on it. Bounties never get me gear like that, just exotics, and always weapons.

Edit: Actually, I just saw that your helmet is showing a +18 when you buy it. When you upgrade armor, does it increase the light rating? My helmet hasn't gone up at all yet, still the same as when I bought it, just higher defense.

Edit 2: Yes it does. I need a crap ton of ascendant shards though. I don't have any marks left to get anything, so I have to wait until Tuesday to start earning again.

everytime you level up the defense of an armor it adds +1/2 light depending on what type of armor. It costs ascendant energy but yup.

 
hit 28. completed the weekly nightfall and got an exotic chest armor. plus it boosts my exp until the new nightfall comes out. we used the chicken rooms to beat phogoth though. one of our raid party didn't show up, so no attempting to finish that tonight. sounds like a good time for a break.

I used all the arrows to kill ghasts asshole! That was the plan, and I killed like five of them and only "lost" like 6 arrows! And then I said "I'm going to die, and lose this iron armor." And you said "That's fine, we have plenty of iron now." And you know why we had plenty of iron? Because I found a crap ton in my sweet caves! And I found an easily accessible fortress. You're welcome for all the help!
 
Hmm.... made it perfect through level 49 in VU today with hardly any problems, but 50... fuck. 

Red section at the beginning is a piece of cake and the green at the end isn't that bad either.  But that middle blue... I just can't get the timing down on the back and forth teleporting.  Might need to get the grips before I get this one... the hands are screaming for it. 

 
So I know the thread has varying opinions concerning the overall game, but can we at least agree the loot system is ridiculously stingy? All I can do is laugh to keep from getting upset. Glad I'm mostly in it for PvP at this point otherwise I'd go crazy. I coasted from 19 to 23 but I guess it decided that was enough.

Wouldn't surprise me. Her and her family owe their wealth to a "leaked" porno. I read it was her mom that leaked it years ago. Dunno if true, but genious if she did. Leak it, then act outraged.

ran through my 100k coins on ultimate team, got to 83 overall. so sad, almost another gold trophy. definitely gonna trade it in before the guaranteed value ends this week.

 
I must be confused, but the Ys:MoC trophy roadmap seems to imply that in Boss Rush you're supposed to have your normal gear. Instead I'm being stuck with crap gear that's appropriate for the boss level. Anybody else who played it--what was your experience?

Here's the psnprofiles trophy guide bit for the Untouchable trophy (beating Boss Rush without having to retry):

Select Boss Rush at the bottom, when you enter Time Attack mode and beat every single boss again without all characters dying. If you are playing on Easy with a full party and upgraded ultimate gear, this shouldn’t even be a problem.

virtues last reward pros - is it worth sticking it out for all of the endings? I finished the Luna path and it was more interesting than I expected, but the story segments just drag on for me and it looks like it would take another 15 hours or so.
