Tron Legacy and the two Dark Knight movies had that feature on the 2-D version. It's highly likely this will be the case with Transformers as well. All that really happens is the matte frame opens up (i.e. the black bars go away) so the image covers the whole screen. Not nearly as intrusive as you might think.I am curious about the IMAX 3d version being like TDK/TDKR where the aspect ratio changes during IMAX scenes..........is this ONLY on the 3D disc or on the 3D/2D combo pack? Meaning that if you buy that pack, it will have the IMAX scenes on the 3d and 2d discs...and not just on the 3d disc of the combo.
I've noticed that too, and I find it extraordinarily lame that someone gets the ads early, posts the videogame ads, and doesn't bother posting the movie ads too. Most of the time, we don't even get the current ads! I wish there was another site that scooped ads as well as this one once did, but not even blu-ray.com has a section I could find. It really sucks to have to go out and buy a paper on Sundays just to find out what the sales are, and superlame that I'm going to go blind into BF and not have the information to plan ahead.I saw that the BB and Target ads were posted in gaming, but no mention here.

I don't know. I'm a Transformers fan/collector. Have done a lot of defending/debating about the previous films over the years but this one I walked out shaking my head, rolling my eyes. I have always been of the opinion that you don't need solid acting or writing for movies about giant alien fighting robots but the acting and writing were some of the worst I've ever seen for a big blockbuster. As always, the action sequences were solid but everything in between was absolutely atrocious, too awful to ignore. I actually wouldn't care if Bay returned for the next one but Ehren Kruger is one of the worst working writers in Hollywood. Even for a thinly developed Transformers movie the dinobots were underwritten, an afterthought, the most blatant action figure cash grab amongst a huge blatant cash grab. Get someone who will take the source material respectfully, not necessarily seriously, and hire the right director and cast accordingly. Maybe Paramount will take note since AoE didn't perform as well as DotMAlso, despite what Metacritic and others are saying, Transformers DOESN'T SUCK. It's simply more of the same. If you liked any or all of the previous installments, and are wanting more, you'll enjoy it.
