Desinty "isn't about the loot" yet it's the first thing they address. Thank GOD. It's fucked right now so hopefully they make some meaningful changes.

Glad to see the shotgun getting nerfed. I've been saying that shit was OP since the alpha, lol. Hell, that's all I use. Not sure I agree about the AR range being too long, as the recoil pretty much balances it IMO.

Glad to see the cave finally go!!!!! Yes, I am a hater.

And, finally, voice chat to crucible and match-made teams. What a weird omission to begin with.

This is why feedback and discussion is important, folks. Instead of pretending certain games and developers can do no wrong. These weren't nitpicks. Bungie listened. I'm very pleased.

That Moon Hunters game sounds cool, but it's odd that they are going to have online play on PC/Mac but not on PS4 or Vita. Well I don't really mind that much as this looks like it would be fun to play with my boys and I greatly prefer local coop anyway, but still it's odd. I was trying to back at the early bird price as when I went to look it had 1 left, and with the exchange rate it would only be $9. But by the time I filled out the information it was gone. I guess I'll just wait for release.

EDIT: reading through their kickstarter updates I see they are just saying they have never made a console game and they only guaranteeing online on PC/Mac, but it might still happen for consoles.

...they patched out the loot farming because the game isn't about loot drops. Surely even you can see that, no?

I have a sealed copy that i bought from that brandsmart to bestbuy pm $30 deal last week and I just can't decide whether to play it or not based off all the discrepancies in opinions.

 
Whether I like all of the changes or not, it is awesome to see Bungie taking all of these concerns into consideration and work towards a more balanced game. Makes me excited to see what the coming weeks and months will bring

It looks like they're listening to feedback about PVP weapons as well as they talked about how they're aware the auto rifles and shotguns are super OP and plan on implementing some changes to them.

 
Yeah im an rpg and fps junkie, and I am fine with grinding, but this game has me torn. I have been a Destiny junkie for past 2 weeks, so are lots of others here if they are at level 27/28 etc. but the game tries to make you dislike it. Especially when you find lil tricks like the dismantling of queens armor and then they take it away. I understand the nexus and loot cave farming, but why would they go after the queens legendary armor to nerf, when that is a fundamental core of the game is dismantling equipment to upgrade other equipment. and then I understand that Legendary engrams shouldn't always give legendaries, but it really makes you hate the game when you are like fuck yeah I got a legendary engram and it even shows it on the game screen for all other players to see and then you go back to the cryptarch and he gives you the same blue shitty item you have dismantled so many times before. It is like the game is trying to make you hate it. and they are nerfing it so we don't reach high levels quickly? I don't see that as developers listening to their fans, more like them trying to make you farm every day instead of efficiently. Are they afraid of trade ins? idk

I like the game and im a boss at it, same with Stotch and everyone else I have played with, we all think we are awesome. but at the same time, once we hit that level cap and there is nothing more to do soon, I think I will be trading it in. Especially with a $35 season pass. no way.

Did they think we wouldn't play it as obsessively as we have. Maybe they thought we would be fine taking our time and just doing the daily strikes or something, idk, its like they don't want you to play the game or max level, idk. ramble ramble. peace bro

also as an auto rifle and shotgun pvp player, i dislike those changes! lol

Not talking about the hot fix they just pushed out. Loot is the first thing they address in the blog post. Specifically, the randomness of engram decryption. Of course I'd like to see more (like a drop rate commensurate with performance in PvP), but this is definitely a good start.

i've brought several legendary engrams to the cryptarch and gotten ONE in return. It's currently a joke.

I agree loot isn't the only way to progress, but it's certainly one way. I'm only a few light away from 26 and haven't bought a single thing. Of course Queens Missions helped inflate that, lol. It all depends on your style of play.

An exotic from Xur this weekend will be my first purchase.

, so Origins will be another in the list of sequels I need to finish before moving to the PS4 game in the series. At least with Batman I'll have until June now. As for City I didn't stray too much from the main story but it's a game I could see doing more in. It's a lot of fun. Story seemed kind of short though overall...or maybe I just enjoyed it that much. Now what next?

seriously if anyone is interested in playing Portal 2, get it done sooner rather than later. seems apparent that valve is going to fuck up the ps3 servers with an update sooner or later, and the online coop will then be officially dead. I'm glad that we finally got the online required trophies so if it all burns in a fire tomorrow I could at least do the remaining coop trophies with 2 controllers.

Glad I don't like 1st person games much. I liked the Destiny Alpha (probably even got my fill of it) but kind of glad I don't have to sort through what sounds like a lot of nonsense with this game.

 
I wonder if Snakey just thinks we're joking when we say he's a weirdo and doesn't understand that he is legitimately weird. I really really wish he would just be normal. He plays a ton of games and shit and would probably be a cool dude if he didn't act like such a weirdo and quit trying so god damn hard all the time.

 
that bestbuy $40 tiv for Destiny is looking sweeter and sweeter, especially if it gets a complete edition someday. I got it for $38 anyway (20%gcu, tax free weekend, $10 rz cert)

thanks to the folks that mentioned the vita +$50 tiv bump and converting to amazon credit. my fancy borderlands 2 vita bundle will be here tomorrow.

also I learned that one of the gamestop employees recently traded in a bunch of consoles and stuff he had for amazon credit so he could buy a vacuum cleaner as he had never had one before. the other employee picked up on it faster than I did and said, "how did you clean your carpet before you got the vacuum?" he just hung his head in shame. and then started talking about how he hit 28 in destiny.

you just have to finish the calibration course (intro), anyone can make an alt and do it with you. top and I knocked it out in about 30 minutes for both of us this morning with throw away accounts. you have to get three hugs anyways, so there's a freebie when you're done.

That raid last night. wow. Dropping the relic and screen going red or getting marked for negation and screen going green were most stressful gaming moments in the past few months, if not years. CoD Clanwars have nothing on that stuff in terms of stress. My girl was freaking out because I had the sound so high and she said it was creepy screams and xylophones and alien synth pop ;)

and I havn't done portal 2 co op. I have it on my ps3, we need to play that Vig. I need hugs etc.

and no i didnt post pix yet, im zoned about this destiny chatter. I am chatting with one of the girls now on facebook and she wants to be our live in nanny. She says she is a daughter of the sun and the moon and that we all met in a dream and this is our time to adventure. I told her she just took too many psychadelics.

Gaming update:
Velocity 2x: 40 perfects..well see if I have the rest in me. A little over a month and I can't use my vita at work so I'll give it til then.

Dead Space plat.

Jak and Daxter: a few collectibles to clean up..should plat tonight

Heavy Rain: started and played a couple hours. Pretty boring; I wish the character moved a bit faster. I'll work slowly on it.

I think I'll start Portal 2 very soon since Heavy Rain isn't sticking to me too well yet.

K, I'm now seen that Chariot game compared to Max and the Brotherhood, Steamworld Dig, and Kirby.  How does it look like any of those games in any way!?!?!?!  Just because they're all 2D and take place in outside areas?  Are people out there really that dumb?  

 
Have you ever done a weird google search? Like "do mormons use vacuums"? 'Cause I just did that. It wasn't especially fruitful, but it does appear that they do a good job of keeping their Churches ship shape. Therefore no way that Gamestop guy is a Mormon.

 
I'm surprised there isn't actually more anger towards this month's Games with Gold lineup.  Apparently people prefer getting a 4 year old $2 retail FPS game over getting indie games.  I hate people.

those are the only two I think, everything else can be done with 2 controllers. you just have to finish coop completely before you can get one of those (prof portal) so it'll take some time. worth it though, totally fun.

All it takes is whoever you are going to co-op with to have an alt account. You return the same for them. Win-win.

I really need to get to J&D 2 and 3 soon. I've got them from EU PS+ and that sub ends in December. 2 will be the next game after Asura's Wrath, I think, then 3 near the end of the sub to give me a break between the two.

Is Heavy Rain vanilla missing anything substantial from the DC? I know DC has some extra stuff, but a glance over it didn't show anything particularly interesting and the DC was quite a bit more.

 
I trust you guys (stotch, squirrel, tyler, etc) not to harass them, and im super lazy, so ill prob just toss you their facebook names if you really want to see their pix. If you wait a night or two we will just have all 3 on cam again. All 3 want to come over, but im just too busy doing this Destiny stuff. Last night we had no gag reflex chic over and I was busy with the raid. I need to prioritize better.
