Sweet.

I got a legendary shotgun (already had one) and a legendary sniper riffle last night. Back to back decrypts I was shocked. Also was able to buy a legendary helmet from the FWC faction and have purple engram for the gauntlet waiting for update.
Any purple engrams you have when the patch goes live will be turned to blue. Might as well decrypt them now.

Would anyone be opposed to a full on 80s game show compilation game? Maybe a little Joker's Wild, a little Tic Tac Dough, a little High Rollers, a little Card Sharks. This needs to happen so I can fully regress into childhood.
The main problem is that some of those old shows just wouldn't translate into a game very well. Some work better than others, but I can not see how Price is Right would be anything other than a steaming pile of crap. All the pricing games would just be too hard to pull off well. Some of those others do sound like they could be fun small PSN titles.

That's the one, alright. Although I just watched a Youtube video of a guy beating it and realized a pretty big flaw in my tower layout. D'oh! The video was pretty informative, actually, as I haven't really nailed down what are good "all around" towers to just build when you are creating your path. This dude used a bunch of guns and lasers and it seemed to work out. I still don't know what is really going on with scoring though. You're the only other friend of mine who has scores and there are times when I crush what you had and other times I get way less, but it seems like I'm always doing the same sort of thing.
Yeah I died a couple times in that level, I couldn't get a great layout either. I didn't really try a ton though, because I had gotten to that point all in one day so I was burnt out.

I started using tons and tons of guns because they're so cheap to upgrade and it has been working well for me.

I've played a couple Price is Right games and they are both steaming piles.

That's why I think a compilation is the way to go. Small doses of each so you don't get sick of it. Have some contestant career thing. And everything is hosted by Wink Martindale and/or Bob Hubanks.

They should come out with a Price is Right classic game. "Guess how much this gallon of milk cost 30 years ago!" ($.12)

Even it it is at the post office? Not sure I will get home in time.

You made me look up those 2 guys because I knew they had to be getting old. They are 80 and 76 (it is Eubanks, btw) respectively. Someone better get started with the voice over work. Chuck Woolery would be a good option too.

Cool that is what I thought you said as well.

I am not sure what part of the country you live in now, but I hope if you are moving to the bay area that you will be making a LOT more than whatever you are making now. The cost of living there is so much worse than almost all other areas of the country.

Good luck to you!

Ha, Greg Miller of IGN told the story of himself getting his job at IGN, when he was first offered the job he accepted immediately... then he got to SF and realized how expensive it was and had to ask for a raise right away. luckily they were fine with it and expected he would need the higher wage...

Always research where you are going and the cost of living there when trying to negotiate wage. I believe there is website that can show you how much you are actually making compared to you current location and the cost of living.

If you guys didn't know his name was Donnie from like years ago, you suck at stalking. I think we already know Vig sucks at it though.

I knew his last name as well from the Google Docs spreadsheet, whenever he's on there logged in it shows his full name.
Of course I suck at something I don't do! :nottalking:

To those playing Mercenary, be sure to save/ hoard materials after you choose a loadout you're comfortable with. Decorations and the building guns trophies are the ones to really mind in that game.
Also, use the starting weapon for the Recruit missions AND DO NOT MODIFY IT.

thanks! and yeah, we're pretty familiar with the gnarly cost of living there in the bay area and 'bugles' pays well enough where it shouldn't be too much of an issue. hopefully. but we've also lived poor before so we're pretty comfortable being broke if need be and it's definitely worth it to us for the change of lifestyle and locale for the family and the job.

Will your wife also work or is she a stay at home mom? Are you in IT or what would you do for bugles?
wife is stay at home, and yep I'm in IT. even if she wanted to work paying for daycare for all these kids would necessitate a pretty decent wage for her to break even *and* we wouldn't get to have one of us with them all day. so it works out pretty well.

This might be the first time I have ever had anyone say this about my name. Most people freak out and ask what kind of last name is that.
Never got that one. A WHOLE LOT of "and Donnie Tew, hahaha!" stupidity though.

When I pronounce my last name I usually just use the pronunciation of too as most would read it. So does the most of my family. My Aunt claims that it is actually supposed to be tyoo. Think the word few but with a T. No clue if she knows what she is talking about, but she is one of those ancestry.com types.
At least no one thought your last name was just completely made up for some reason.

After watching The Wire, my exgirlfriend was jokingly saying "tyoo" instead of "too" a lot because that's how they say it with the Baltimore accent.

I picked up my copy of SoM at lunch, popped it in the PS4, and was greeted with the message that there wasn't enough space on the hard drive to install it.  And so it begins, the endless juggling of installs.

My sympathies. I know I'm going to be hitting that wall in a game or two. I was looking into it today and something that seems especially lame is that DLC and the "main" content of a game are all lumped into a single file. So I can't just delete the main game (which is quick and easy to reinstall via disc) and would have to manually redownload any DLC in the future. Pain in my ass.

That's why I'm a SAHM, we broke it down and it works out better for us this way and with me to have a part time in the evening. Otherwise daycare/sitter if I worked full time would take a chunk of money that wouldn't make it worthwhile. I'm glad it is like that though, I love being able to stay home with her :)

Ugh, that IS annoying. I haven't really looked at all that stuff on PS4 too much. Does that mean you can't just delete a patch for the game without deleting all the install data too? I ended up just deleting Infamous SS since I already got the plat.

Thats cool. I am trying to get the wife back to work now that our daughter is 6+. Both our parents are retired and could watch one kid every day. They have all said how much they would love to do it.

They are starting to pull the previous week's sales down so now or never if you couldn't make up your mind to buy something.
I can't believe it, I stayed strong through the Assassin's sale and bought none. I figure I might just start with 4 since I only ever played about half of 1, Bloodlines, and Liberation on Vita. My backlog thanks me, I'm hoping to keep hitting it hard because it seems as though 2015 will be busy gaming wise.

If I ever get to the point where I'm game to game I might actually go back to physical and do the Tyler shuffle with trade-ins moving from one to the next. PSN sales will be optional as well of course.
