Pix the Cat

4player fight
Why does this look a bit more awesome than I thought? Am I high right now?

Pix the Cat looks potentially funish. And it will be free, so that's cool. The arena mode might be fun. It's local-only. You loners will want to know if there are trophies tied to it.

As for the trophy contest game, I have no idea.  I haven't really thought about it cuz I still feel like shit.  Someone bump that other thread and we can discuss it there.

On 360, Dust really wasn't very hard at all, except for maybe a couple of the challenge rooms.  I'm not sure it would be the best game for the tourney, and people definitely shouldn't rush though the game, they should play it at their pace and enjoy it since it's awesome.

Thanks Vig.  I'm in for LoS2 for $10.  Glad I caught this before I went home for the day.

I liked the demo, hopefully I like the game.

So why are all the Castlevania Lords Of Shadow games on sale except for the first one? That's the only one I'd consider buying.

*reads article* What's that, no plat added?

Can platinums be added after the fact? The trophy list is almost certainly shared since it is on PS3/Vita. I guess anything's possible, though. But it is cross-save, so that makes a separate list pointless anyway.

And before the stupid people arrive, the "save" in this case is your journal entries, unlocked levels, characters and other progress.

On a related note, I wish Crimsonland was cross-save. I don't play it on PS4 because I'd have to unlock everything again. Sucks.

I'm hoping to convince my kids to stream some Spelunky coop with me (Vita+PS4). I don't have the PS4 camera, but hopefully the pack-in mic pics up their voices well enough - more fun to watch Spelunky if you can hear everybody's voice. Also we'd probably play some of the competitive multi-player too. Fun stuff. Maybe I'll end up getting the camera at some point….

spelunky: it doesn't matter if I play it with intense singular focus or while I'm talking on the phone and watching reruns of The Gilmore Girls at the same time, I'm equally unsuccessful.

Resident Evil doesn't have the worst controls. They aren't broken. Just because you don't like them doesn't make them the worst. Once you get USED to them the game is 100% playable. If you played Resident Evil 1-3 back to back to back you'd probably be fuck ing awesome at using them. I think most people stop playing games like this because they don't really give them a chance.
Being able to get used to something doesn't mean the controls are good. Yes, I can get used to how Resident Evil plays, but the controls are so stiff and clunky that it causes me to have a lesser experience because of it and that's a problem. There are plenty of games that control terribly but are still technically playable if you spend the time wrestling with the controls long enough, but there's no reason you should have to if they aren't actually adding anything to the experience (which 99% of the time they aren't).

Oh yeah?! Well you talk funny!

Honestly, I dont remember many people complaining about the Resident Evil controls until the 2nd or 3rd game. I know the original RE was one of my favorite if not THE favorite game of all time when it came out. Controls didnt feel bad at all for that time.
Well, there was a time Goldeneye was the pinnacle of console FPS control, now it's not so good. The PSP GO I got used came with Silent Hill for PS1 on the system and I started to play it but just couldn't go back to fighting with those horrible controls even if the game itself is supposed to be good.

Don't take on more than you can handle, gramps.

Oh I agree. You cant really play those games anymore since we have better controls now. But when RE came out it was great and no one knew any better. Which is why some of us (all of us) dont get why Therm calls 10-15 year old classics the worst games he has ever played due to controls, among other things.

Cool. I have two purple engrams and 3 or 4 of those packages for doing strikes waiting for me at the post office. Probably end up with 2 more chest armors.
I got two packages holed up, curious to what I'll wind up with when I get home.

May or may not play much tonight, think the wife is getting a little pissed im on so much....

Probably because that was the first generation where you could really do games in 3D, most games prior to that only had 2 dimensions to content with so you can go back to 90% of SNES, Genesis, Gameboy, Master system, NES, etc. and a lot of them still control quite well. It's in the early stages of 3D, your REs, your tomb raiders, etc. that age pretty badly.

Backlog, I hope you caught the Gamefly post--Lords of Shadow 2 :)ps3:) is OoS at Gamefly. If anyone missed out, keep checking the page periodically between now and noon PST / 3pm EST tomorrow, as small restocks may happen.

Ineligible. Plus he doesn't play cause he's lame, and just plays games until he gets 100%/Platinum.
I'm sure he can stream on the PS4 to how you how its done. Don't be mad you might learn some helpful tips.

You should make a custom Spelunky pinball table then you might not be so grumpy.

In all seriousness, though, I'd love to see him stream Spelunky and learn some tips, but he doesn't play it any more. As far as I know he has never done the Daily Challenge. Also I have no idea what his twitch stream is anyway.

I'm not that good at Spelunky, I just love it. I am better at it than all of you, though. Until you prove otherwise!

When it comes to the PS4 maybe he'll replay it and stream it. If he does stream it I'll let you know so you can watch.
