None of that bothers me. I suppose Dead Space has the same issue--how can Isaac carry four large guns when we can't see any of them? :roll:

Maybe it can only teleport within its line-of-sight? And do we know which difficulty the guy is playing on? Maybe it's an easier one, which might explain the A.I. behavior there.

Dead Rising 2 is really good, though the loading times are pretty bad.

Dead Space or Shadows of the Damned fo sho. The former if you are looking for something more atmospheric and the latter if you just want some action.

I haven't played DS yet.

The reason it bothers me here is that they show some of what he carries and he'll grab one weapon off his back (which changes.) I'd much rather see none of the stuff he carries or have it show a specific set of gear all the time that doesn't correspond to what he actually has. That'd be preferable to the inconsistency of showing only some of it. "Okay, so he had the crossbow on his back, reached back, grabbed it, and now he's ready to shoot. Fine--so where the hell did the javelin come from?" Once you start acting like he's carrying the stuff on him then having some of it not show up just stands out more.

 
My trophy card sucks. I played and got Spelunky achievements most recently, but no Spelunky image. Instead TLoU:R. WTF?

Eh, chalk me up with the camp that just doesn't care about this sort of thing. I can't even say why because I do like immersion into whatever game I am playing, but I never would give this a second thought.

I also don't mind the infinitely deep pants pockets. It never occurred to me until now that you never actually see Leon carrying a briefcase, let alone one that's big enough to hold three rocket launchers. wtf????

Limbo and Walking Dead can be finished in a handful of hours each and are both great.

Dead Space would be my pick for the longer, more cringe-inducing game.

 
I beat that Bayonetta 2 demo and i dunno im not really in love with it, its pretty easy and its the same thing as the first one. I'll wait till it gets a price drop. Why does everyone love this game? I mean its pretty good but its no God of War or Ninja Gaiden

It was already set to last game played. Spelunky was definitely my last game played. Anyway, I didn't know you could set it to a specific game, so I set it to Spelunky manually. Thanks. I'll flip it back to last played at some point.

The only trophy I have left other than the ones I'll get for beating the game is the Level 25 Rune one, which sounds like such a pain. I think I'm going to let myself die to a Warchief with an easily-exploitable Fear until he hits Power Level 20, then kill him after exploiting said Fear. Unless there's a better/easier way?

BTW, can I just upload my save via PS+ just in case I get an Epic Rune after all that work? It shouldn't be difficult to "replace" my save with that one if I need to, correct?

I'm not sure. I actually got that without trying, let the first guy who killed me become a Warchief for the Rise and Fall trophy and when I went to kill him the rune dropped, although the Rise and Fall trophy didnt pop.

So...Best Buy won't let me use a gift card to buy Evil Within with the extra $10 gift card.

So fuck that gift card idea instead of the usual $10 in bonus rewards for pre-ordering.

Time to preorder Call of Duty or Far Cry.

Basically sounds like Joystiq and Polygon reviewers thought it was unfairly challenging, whereas Game Informer and IGN didn't feel that way.

Following up on this, from Jim Sterling's review. He gave it a 3/5.

"[The diffculty level] is bad enough that Bethesda even knows it. Alongside my review copy of the game was a note asking that reviewers play on the Casual difficulty setting, not the standard Survival setting. Not only that, but each copy came with a sealed envelope containing advice and obscure tips for every single level of the game. Due to embargo restrictions, I cannot repeat those tips, but they provide sometimes crucial insight that the game itself never communicates. It's clear that those presenting the game know it's either imbalanced or does a terrible job of interfacing with the player."

Sounds like the game is going to be old-school hard; not sure if that is a pro or a con for me personally.

That's weird. I had no problem ordering Evil Within last week using a gift card and getting the $10 gift card sent to me. Their site can be wonky.

My issue is that I don't have any idea where my $10 GC is. Somewhere between UPS and USPS I'm guessing.

 
saw the reviews for evil within. a lot of complaint about the melee, and shooting mechanics. it sounds like resident evil 6. lol

Destiny spoilers:

Gear from the next raid will allow you to get to 32. I called this one a couple weeks ago and a few people were saying that a level increase was going to be a long way off. There's no way they're not going to be actively increasing the level cap if they want and expect people to keep playing.
