Maybe guac is a southern or warm climate thing? Its one of the things everyone around here orders when going Mexican.

My wife makes a killer homemade guac. One of the few things she makes that I enjoy more at home than at a restaurant.
I grew up in FL and live in GA. I would call that a hot climate. Guac is fucking disgusting.

They're not terrible, but there's better stuff out there if you're looking for European power metal: Helloween, Blind Guardian, Hammerfall, Angra, Running Wild, etc.
I've listed to all but Running Wild of those, but I only consistently enjoy DragonForce's stuff, especially their recent releases.

Hey oharm, great news:

I finally have another character at 23, which means I can do the daily story twice each day and get at least 3 upgrade materials. Plus I can swap my good weapons between characters and level them up twice as fast!
Who the heck is oharm?

I haven't bought a CD in a LONG time. Actually I haven't bought any music at all in a long time. I mostly play an internet radio stream and sometimes spotify.
The problem with Internet radio streams is that you can't really control what you want to listen to. I'm a 'full album" type of guy. I need to hear it all.

Edit:

Pics didnt work, or wouldn't blow up enough.

initial evil within impressions:

only two chapters completed, but it sucks because I haven't gotten a trophy yet. worst game this year.

it really really feels like a stealthy re4. I mean, right down to having bear traps and a weird close up of an item when you open a cabinet. the main character reminds me of gideon from vanquish which pleases me (wasn't that his name?).

I think there's an option to switch the sneak button to a toggle so you don't have to hold it down and that seems like a good idea. I'm positive this will change, but the stealth heavy aspect is going to be tough for me. there's almost no reason to use a gun. also need to figure out if I need to burn every body or just certain ones.

I also can't pretend like it isn't janky as fuck in the framerate department sometimes and there's some irritating camera issues when you're sneaking. there's some boss looking graphics and some stuff that looks like they cut and paste the ps3 port. but, it does seem totally awesome and definitely plays like mikami. it'll probably be the first 'b movie' game of this generation.

the ukemi mode is going to suuuuuck. I've died probably 15 times experimenting and another 3 or 4 times getting caught by surprise.

DragonForce is alright. The last record felt a bit bland. I do listen to tons of metal, though. I haven't bought a CD for probably five years if not more. I've got my NAS at home loaded up with rips and then just listen to stuff from that constantly.

When I listen to my own library, I'm definitely a full album guy. But sometimes I cant fucking decide what I want to listen to, so Pandora and Spotify work great there. I Used to have a giant CD collection as well, but sold them all to find a vacation for the wife. Now I either buy cheap MP3s from Amazon or borrow CDs from the library and rip them to my HD.

I remember you mentioning Smoking Pig, how often are you down this way?
Not that often really. That was on a trip for a beer release I would go to in Tampa every year. After it being a shit storm this past year, it looks like it won't be happening anymore.

The only other times are when I am passing through to go to my wife's family in Orlando. I don't think I have been there in 4 years or so :)

My family is from the panhandle so I wouldn't go that way to get there. Even if I did, I have been there less than her family's house, lol.

Spotify, free on pc and has full albums for just about any artist out there.

Is it scary? I don't like scary stuff.

Guacamelee >>>>>>>> Guacamole.

And since we're talking about food, I went to Rumbi's for the first time.  I was impressed, the food had very good flavor.

Hopefully they fixed the online play in Nidhogg. I saw in a few videos and reviews when it released on PC that it was a total mess to even do matchmaking with friends. Could definitely be fun if that is working better now

Ah. Well if you by some chance happen to be in the area, hit me up. Be cool to grab some lunch or something.

And speaking of trophies and Curve, I haven't seen a new trophy list for Lone Survivor PS4.  So is this the worst of both worlds?  Non-crossbuy AND shared trophies!?!??!

Implies to me an angry confusion as to why no touch, ie a complaint about there not being any touch controls.

10/10 therms for your own reading comprehension of your own post.
You're reading way too into that if you thought it was a complaint. That or you don't actually know the definition of the word. I'm not sure which. "What the hell?" indicates confusion, which is exactly what I intended by that part of the post. It's really weird that there are no touch controls and I don't understand the reasoning behind not building that functionality into the application when it's very much a standard functionality of Vita applications. The only thing I can think of is that they left it out due to the possibility of people using PS Now with a Vita TV+DS3...which would be a really strange decision since the DS4 is compatible with the Vita TV as well. I haven't actually looked into it, but now I'm wondering if the DS4 touch controls work with the Vita TV at all or if they just stripped all touch functionality out with the Vita TV.

So yeah...you misread that.

Nope. Not yet. It's much more in line with resident evil 4+ in its presentation. Gory, but no jump scares.
Oh good. I don't like jump scares.

But that might interfere with the start of my new streaming series "Suspense Turkey", which is all about me playing a bunch of Suspense games and filming my reactions to them!

Sorry stotch, i forgot what you originally called it. Was it "Suspense Turkey"? Anyways, it was too funny of a joke to not rip off.

I used to have a massive CD collection but much like gaming I've moved over to digital there as well. I have a ton of rips but I need to clean up my digital music collection. All the new rips are great but need to fix some older ones and organize. It all just seems way too time consuming.

Spotify is pretty great. Considering a premium sub since I like listening to full albums and have unlimited data on my phone. Shuffle Play be damned!

I just got a code to review Natural Doctorine and holy fuck does it look complicated in the screenshots.
I'm playing through it now. It's nowhere near as complicated as the screenshots indicate, they just did a bad job with some of the presentation components. I really wish I could turn some of that crap off as it's not necessary, particularly the ticker at the bottom.

Let me know if you have any questions, particularly about the initiative and linking systems. Understanding those is absolutely essential to enjoy and succeed at the game at all.

I heard when you get the platinum in Guacamelee after the credits they give a killer Guacamole recipe.

Since I hate a lot of different foods it should be no shock that I love a great Guacamole.

I put The Evil Within on my want list from the reviews but if it's mainly stealth I'm not sure if I'll be as in to it (although I'm currently playing a lot of Metal Gear). Maybe I'll just wait for it to get cheap.

The closest thing I have in my music collection to individual tracks versus full albums is that I do have a few compilation albums. Best of the 80s and the like. I often listen to music on shuffle in order to vary the mood of the music, but that's about 50/50 with listening to full albums at a time. Usually I've got headphones in for the majority of my work day.  :D/

You should just come to Atlanta instead. We have better beer here :)
I would like to get up there for a Braves game sometime. I'm such a homebody though, I really don't like to travel much at all. The couple of times I've rode through Atlanta didn't make me want to go back either. Such idiot drivers and such small lanes. I was a nervous wreck.

Online play? But what about the precision?!?!? Won't somebody please think of the precision!?!?!?!?
Well, I don't know what Nidhogg is like. Maybe a little lag isn't as big of a deal for it? But also there's just the issue of whether or not the dev has the capability to develop good net code. We'd all like to have the option of online play in Spelunky, but it's not there and I'm sure if the dev could do it he would have put it in the game. Lastly, maybe Nidhogg's online sucks. Remains to be seen.

I can understand that. I am used to it now, but even I do not go into the heart of the city much unless I am headed back to FL. If I am just going somewhere to drink or to an event in town, I usually take MARTA if a station is somewhat close so I don't have to deal with the traffic.

I rarely go anywhere either, as you probably gathered by my post, so I understand the home body part too.

I may have to get DragonCon tickets next year now that I know simmias comes down for it every year. I have wanted to go back to people watch anyway, so maybe that will finally get me to pull the trigger.
